5.0 out of 5 stars Things to know before you purchase
First off, I really like this set. It's gorgeous, so far. Here are a few things to know:1. This is a micro block set. They are tiny! Have tweezers handy.2. There are 3 phases to building it. The bags of blocks are labeled for each phase. There are several bags to each phase.3. If you expect the blocks to be presorted to specific steps....forget it. This is not the name brand.4. You will need to sort the blocks into types for each phase. It makes it easier. Condiment cups with lids are lifesavers.5. You can use those condiment cups to sort pieces for each step. Just label them. It moves faster that way.6. Take pictures of each step so you can zoom in for the details to know what piece goes where.7. This does not have music, but the lights dance. It's a great set. I will buy another, but it can take a little bit to put together. I am finished with phase one and have started phase two. This is not a good set if you have infants or pets who like to put items in their mouths. They would be easy to choke on.
5.0 out of 5 stars Not Legos, but a fantastic challenge.
I DO NOT Recommend these for any young children. These bricks are smaller, photo attached for scale. I suggest a good pair of tweezers and a pick for misplaced bricks. Take your time, the instructions are not as straight forward as Legos but still relatively easy. If you are familiar with the Nanoblock sets you will enjoy this one.
1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money
It was missing pieces and the pieces were so tiny that they were hard to put together, much smaller than LEGO pieces. It could have been beautiful, but not well made.
4.0 out of 5 stars Loved It!! Great Fun! But LOTS of Patience is Needed!!
I purchased this set nearly a year ago and completely forgot I had bought it. I found it during this holiday break and decided to give it a go. This was actually my first set to build and put together, I'm not a "Lego" type and normally I'm a puzzle girly :) . I have to say that it takes plenty of patience due to the size of the pieces and the sheer number. But, I found that it was relaxing!! I had music or my favorite asian dramas running in the background and found that my brain just got to let everything go. I just worked and listened, and the next thing I knew a couple of hours had gone by. I then just started doing sections, taking small breaks to eat or something, and then went right back to building. I actually had so much fun and loved how my brain got to just shut down and reset!! I actually ended up doing two other blossom trees I had purchased previously as well.I won't say that it's the easiest to work with and complete, but once I found my "grove" and what worked best with me, putting together and building was a breeze. Some of the pieces are tiny, so definitely not for little ones, but I would say 8+ years but only those who truly enjoy building and have the patience to plan and sit. I can honestly say that I have found another hobby and plan on purchasing more! Don't know where I'm going to "showcase" all these (cuz I don't have the heart to break them down), but that's a worry for another day (LOL)!! Enjoy your building!!
3.0 out of 5 stars Poorly done instructions ruin the fun
This set is really cool looking and we'll designed, however the terrible instructions really take away from the experience. You can see in the picture I added that there is no step by step, it just shows the pieces you need and then the completed step. Most of the time it's a lot of the same color, and you can BARELY make out the lines in the chunk of color to be able to tell which piece goes where. I would bet that a lot of the reviews stating pieces are missing was actually from using a wrong piece at some point and not realizing it. I have spent a good amount of time prying pieces apart while making this. Also, if you have any kind of dexterity issues such as arthritis this set is not for you. The pieces are TINY and extremely intricate to place. Overall very cool set, but god the instructions are bad. If they fixed those this set would be a lot more enjoyable and less frustrating.
5.0 out of 5 stars A very challenging build! But worth every dime!
I’m a big LEGO fan (they are all over the house), but my wife and my bank account, not so much. They are big and expensive. This ☝️was $45 and will fit nicely on a shelf and look amazing. I am halfway through the build as we speak and yeah, there have been frustrating times. I’m 54 with big sausages for fingers and I have had to ask my 25 year old daughter to bail me out a few times where I was off on a count. But I have really enjoyed it! I’ve built all three of LEGO’s biggest builds (excluding the Eiffel tower) and this build is one of my absolute favorites!
2.0 out of 5 stars Deceptive and Not for kids!
Not being official Lego is one thing, but this set's peices are about half-scale and there's no indication of it on the box. The box does indicate it plays music. It does not. It does, however, have beautiful LEDs. It, also, has minifigures that don't seem to belong with the set. Also, also, be careful of the trees in back; they're fragile.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy pieces and clear instructions.
