5.0 out of 5 stars I love the light!
I thought all lights were the same! But this light was amazing! it’s definitely easy to use and comes with a remote. It’s definitely worth it!
5.0 out of 5 stars Just right
Perfect for my needs at a fair price
5.0 out of 5 stars This light is AMAZING
If you record content you need this light. I wanted a cheaper version of the godox monolight because it was just so expensive and I wanted a light that I could use that was great quality but not that expensive. This is the light! Omg I am really happy with it you can change the brightness it comes with a remote, the battery on this thing is amazing it doesn’t get hot fast and it’s easy to use. For me it’s not really as portable as I would like it is a little heavy, but if you have a good carrying case then you should be fine. This is a 10/10 you need this for sure
5.0 out of 5 stars Great, affordable, and versatile light for almost everything.
You see these type of lights mostly indoors on Youtube setups etc, but this light can also be used outdoors, weather permitted of course. It is bright and can save the day on those events that require more lights. Yes, there are better robust options out there and even brighter, but for $60 it's a lifesaver to have as a backup. The light is not heavy at all which means it you can used with most light stands. I used it on a windy day and it worked great. I did make sure to add some weight to the light stand legs. I also own the Godox SL60W and I might replace it with a second one of these. Again the price is a steal. I just wish it had a DC power connection so I could use my Sony NP batteries but in most cases it will be used indoors anyways. Get one and put it away as a back up. You wont regret it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Has some annoyances, but still one of NEEWER’s better products.
This is a review of the NEEWER CB60 70W CoB LED Light, in navy, with an ASIN of B0BCFZ43KX.Short version (TL;DR) - Negatives: Annoying to turn on. Remote eats batteries. Bowens mount is fussy. Positives: Bright for wattage. Good lamp mount. Integrated AC adapter. Long cord.Long version …I’ve generally been rather unimpressed with NEEWER products, but this is definitely one of their better offerings. It works well and has far fewer issues than most of their stuff. If you don’t mind the frustrating aspects of this light, it may be a good choice in terms of value for money.Negatives:* Annoying to Turn On - in short, you must always use at least two controls to turn this light on. If it’s plugged into a live outlet when you hit the physical power switch, it then enters standby. You can wake it from standby via the remote or via a button on the back, but this always has to be done before use. This has really gotten on my nerves, especially since I have a bunch of lights set to come on when a remote outlet is activated, and then I have to go give this one extra attention before it’ll come on.* Remote Eats Batteries - while the remote only controls on/off and brightness, it seems to need new (AAA) batteries frequently. Also, in a fun twist on the point above, the remote itself needs to be awakened from standby via an additional button press (top left) before you can use it to bring the light out of standby. You’d think that’d cut the battery usage, but apparently not.* Bowens Mount is Fussy - my best guess is that the Bowens mount on this may be slightly out of spec, as a number of my modifiers have trouble with both seating and releasing when using it. You can get them in and out, but it takes some serious fiddling sometimes.Positives:* Bright for Wattage - to my pleasant surprise, I found this to be brighter than other CoB LEDs I have of similar and even greater wattage. At the same time, this doesn’t appear to have any thermal issues, being able to run for hours without a problem. That said, they do include a temperature display on the back panel, just in case, but, again, unless you’re in an environment where it can’t cool itself anyway, it’s generally irrelevant.* Good Lamp Mount - the mount includes a well-implemented captive-sprung-wrench style of handle, allows continuous (rather than indexed) angle adjustment, and has a nice large grip on the light stand attachment screw. Oddly, I’ve encountered a bunch of things that get this stuff wrong, but here it’s definitely right.* Integrated AC Adapter - unlike a number of my other lights, this has an integrated AC adapter. Possibly due to the relatively low wattage, it’s still not that heavy. Anyway, the integrated adapter makes it a lot more flexible on placement, so it’s a nice convenience.* Long Cord - this is a really minor thing, but it scored points with me, so I thought I should mention it. The included AC cord is pretty long. This is another makes-life-easier thing. In conclusion, it’s not a bad light. It may even be a good choice for you. That said, I think it’s really meant to be used with a bunch of other lights of the same model, thus making the turn-on/standby annoyance much less of an issue, since then they’ll all come up with the same remote. Still, I think this has too many frustrations to be a 5-star product, so 4 it is, as it definitely has some solid positives as well.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!
Perfect for what I needed it for! Added the Snoot Photography Bowens Mount Snoot, Aluminium Alloy to get the circle light look!
5.0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly surprised!
I tried the Aputure Amaran 100d + Light Dome SE, and for $175 + $100, I was not impressed with the build quality. Very plasticky feel with the bluetooth button and bowens mount both rattling/loose. In the past I've always avoided anything Neewer branded, mostly because the name doesn't sound right (as embarrassing is this may sound). If they were called something like LiteX, Revo Lite, or perhaps Lite PRO, I think that would change my perception. NanLite, Aputure, Selens, Godox, etc. all sound better. Superficial, yes, I know. However the build quality of this CB60 is great! Everything is well put together, nothing rattles or feels loose or out of place. The illumination dial could be a bit more tighter. Also, they should go with a round shaped LED as opposed to the square version for symmetrical purposes. My camera and microphone setup is about 5 ft. from the light and the fan noise is inaudible. The power cable is long enough to allow for extra slack. The power supply is internal, so that helps with a clean looking setup. The matte black finish is awesome. I coupled this with a Selens 70cm quick release softbox and the combination is perfect for video and photo use (indoors). I'm not sure the 70W is enough to over power the sunny outdoors. Overall, I'm very happy this setup (this is coming from someone who is OCD about build quality). Great value!
5.0 out of 5 stars wow
so I was unsure about these lights.. once I turned it on I mean wow! it was so unbelievable better than those bi color ones. I mean these lights are so great, powerful, but not blinding powerful and not noisy. they give a good temp and the lighting is very soothing I should say.
