5.0 out of 5 stars Easy, sturdy, wonderful!!!
I needed a sturdy ramp for the end of my "unfinished" ramp to be safe with my rollator. I found many options for prices up to $500 (ADA compliant etc). I don't have the room for an ADA compliant ramp. I found this one online, read the reviews, bought it! It came yesterday as promised. It comes in pieces with no instructions . . . (moment of panic) . . . then realized how incredibly simple it was - just slide the pieces together! It feels solid, supportive, and safe! Thank you . . .
5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy
Although it comes with NO instructions, it's not real difficult to figure out how to connect the parts to form a ramp. But really, how hard is it to put in a one page instruction sheet? The assembled ramp is sturdy and is good for use on a surface that won't get easily scratched, such as cement or ceramic tile or a carpet. The aluminum metal makes a bit of a clanking sound when stepped on since it flexes a bit. It's a bit awkward to relocate the ramp since the interlocking slats can slip out of place when you pick it up. But it can be moved if you're careful to hold it so the tension minimizes the sliding out of the slats.Overall, it's a good ramp.
4.0 out of 5 stars Ramp good for rollator
Easy to put together. I ordered 3" ramp be sure to start with small/lowest piece to slide into middle piece, then slide middle piece into largest piece/highest piece. I did it and it was smooth. I put a door mat under it so it won't scratch my tiled front porch and put a door mat on top. You can hardly see ramp. Seems sturdy. We can walk on it also. I did not use the extra small piece since threshold fits perfectly.
5.0 out of 5 stars No screws or directions included, but should be OK
There are no directions or screws included. So, it took me a minute to figure it out. The pieces basically slide into each other like a puzzle. Fits perfectly with a 4-inch rise from our door to the garage (see photos). Seems fairly solid with me jumping up and down on it. 😄 However, we'll need to see how it works for the actual user when he gets back from the hospital.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very sturdy
Easy to assemble and install. Works great. Very solid and stable.
1.0 out of 5 stars ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!
This ramp arrived without any instructions; it was full of razor-sharp edges; once put together it cannot be picked up without falling apart; some slats had to be hammered to fit together and one slat never could be inserted at all! I would NOT recommend this to anyone. One star because the material is strong and rigid.
3.0 out of 5 stars Makes me a little nervous
My husband's wheelchair weighs about 325-340lbs. He weighs about 230. That's a good 555 - 570lbs on it. Although has gone up and down it a few times (less than 5), it's pretty scary. We have it at our front door until his semi-permanent ramp gets installed so he can get in/out.. but my Lord this thing scares me every time he's on it. I just feel like it's going to collapse with him on it.There were no instructions included so I had to figure out how to put it together and with that, no screws so it's kinda wonky. The pieces slide back and forth because it doesn't have screws.I'm glad we have it because we need it, but every time we use it I'm praying the whole time.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very sturdy and looks great in front of my shed.
We had a really cute shed built in our backyard and didn't want a clunky wooden ramp. I searched on Bolo and chose this one based on reviews and how it is built.Even though this ramp is aluminum, it has weight to it. The "slats" are really well built and strong. What I like most about it is that the sections interlock....with NO pins. The thin flap, at the top, moves enough so that it will accommodate any threshold angle. It takes 2 minutes to put it together and 5 minutes to drill the holes in the threshold to install it.I purchased the 6" model, which means that it is 6" inches high at the doorway. It is long enough to gently slope down to the sidewalk so the angle is not too steep. I may add some none slip tape because it will be walked on when wet.I am so happy that I spent just a little more to get a quality ramp that will look good for years.
