I was looking for a simple lav mic to improve the audio on my vlog and I didn't want to spend $300-$400 to get one. Now I know you get what you pay for but in this case for about 1/4th of the price I got a decent quality lav mic with noise cancellation. It's easy to use right out of the package. Just connect the receiving unit to your USB-C port on your Android phone or get the Lightning version for your iPhone. Press the button on the mic and they are paired. No apps, to mess with or anything. There are 2 levels of noise reduction that work pretty well, even though there is no windscreen. I haven't tried them in high winds yet but I don't usually shoot in high winds anyway. I guess the only negative I would say is that you can only use it with your cell phone so if you vlog with a DSLR or GoPro then this may not be for you. If you vlog mostly from your phone and you're looking for an affordable lav mic setup you can't go wrong with the J12 from Ulanzi.

I started shooting video via my phone much more frequently for work. Needed some decent mics and these exceeded all my expectations. The sound is nice and crisp with minimal work in post. Range and battery are excellent. I have already shot lots of videos without audio being an issue now.

Starting with the Pro’s:• easy set up (plug n play, no complications)• sound quality gets a 4/5 for me. But for the price it’s extremely worth it. the reason it only gets a 4 is because with movement there is a bit of static which is to be expected.• GREAT battery life - I’ve filmed over an hour and a half long session straight using both mics nonstop. No issues with holding charge or decline in performance.• recording range. I’ve had my subjects go and have conversations 2 basketball court lengths away and it still records perfectly.Cons:• noise canceling effect is limited - it does make a noticeable difference though. This was hard to put in “cons” because even professional microphones are effected by excessive background noise.• does not come with windscreen attachment, minor setback if you happen to be using microphones in areas with lots of wind or disrupting airOverall it gets a 5 star rating. You will not find a better product in this price range or anywhere close. If you’re thinking about it, do it.

Quite impressed with how well engineered this is. I especially like that I can record on my camera or locally on the mics. With the tools in modern video editors to automatically sync sources, this makes these mics perfect for quick record and go with with any device.

These are not good. Terrible echo, distorted sound and very poor pick-up level. Very bad purchase. If I could give "no stars" I would. Save your money, get something better.

Is it producing the same audio quality as the others that cost $250+ no. Not quite. Is is a great outdoor setup that can cover a distance well in excess of 100m, YES! great kit and addons. Love this setup.

The interface and usability is great, it's easy to plug and play this thing into my iPhone, it starts recording with the microphone easily. The use of noise cancellation options was great too.Unfortunately the sound quality is the issue. When the noise cancellation sets on stronger side your voice starts to sound like you are underwater. While you set it for no noise cancellation or light cancellation, then the background noise, even subtle noise, was quite audible.Can we process the noise with post-processing? Yes, but that's not why I'm buying microphones for my iPhone. I compared this product to MOVO Wireless Mini DI DUO Wireless Microphone and MOVO's sound was better (although their usability was way below average).

Excellent product - if it doesn’t work, check your phone port for lint.
When I first got this mic set I was frustrated that it didn’t seem to be working very well. Eventually, it didn’t work at all and I was ready to return it. However, it turns out it was just lint in the port of my phone. I cleaned it out with a wooden toothpick and the mic has worked brilliantly ever since. Sound is pretty good and the range is excellent.

So easy to use , don’t need to read the Instructions just plug-in and is ready to go sound quality is quite good. Highly recommended
