I entertain a lot and if there is one thing I hate, is carving a beautiful piece of meat on an inadequate carving board and coming back to a mess all over the counter and stove when you want to make a beautiful impression.I bought this to use for the Thanksgiving Turkey and it worked perfectly.No counter mess and a STUNNING carving surface and your juices collect for gravy. It holds the protein perfectly in place for a beautiful carve.Yes, it’s heavy. It’s a very thick piece of hardwood.It doesn’t slide all over the counter.Fantastic addition to my kitchen!

Finally a cutting board that captures the juices! I cook my turkey in the electric roaster and it creates a lot of juices. And a roast will even flow over a cutting board with a moat. The dogs love to drink the river that runs off the counter but I don’t like the mess! The only con so far is that it’s extremely heavy. But I also like that it’s build to last. I’m happy I made the investment!

Many things that make this board not worth it , would have liked to like it to go with the rest of the sets, but its more of a hassle then a tool.1. it is very big and heavy, bought as a gift for my Mother, and that was her first comment on it, and I agree, compared to other boards, its completely unnecessary to be this big,.2, The board was spinning when trying to use, it doesnt lay completely flat on the table and when trying to cut it and stuff, it moves around alot.3. When cutting, the boards hex, groove design, makes it difficult to get a knife cut fully thru some meat, and have to fight it a bit with the knife on the board.
