5.0 out of 5 stars Beginner and Budget Friendly
I have always been a budget keyboard person. This keyboard is quite good quality for the price. It has dampening foam and overall feels really nice and sturdy. I got a different cable for this keyboard, displayed in the 2nd photo, and it completes my setup. I did notice that there seemed to be a connectivity problem. Occasionally my keyboard will just reset itself while in the middle of typing or playing games. It's not a big deal but it is a little unfortunate when it happens in the middle of a game. I don't think it's my cables, but it might be the board itself. As you can tell from the photos, I've used 2-3 different cables including the one they sent.Overall it is a very good keyboard. I enjoy the sound, feel, and aesthetic of the keyboard.UPDATE: Keyboard literally broke. I have tried multiple USBC wires and the keyboard will start for 1 second or not even start up at all. There is no lights. I was going to get a replacement, but unfortunately I've had the keyboard for a little past a month so I cannot! So for reference, it was a month and 4 days until this keyboard died.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good bang for the buck
This is my first custom keyboard kit that I've built in. Honestly just banging out this review as an excuse to type on the thing some more, as I'm nowhere near an expert on these things so you probably want to listen to one of them over me.Despite the keyboard being plastic it was a lot heftier than I expected and definitely feels solid and quality. Again this is my first build so have nothing else besides steelseries and razer crap to compare it to. The plastic clips holding the case together are really annoying to undo, really would've just preferred a few more screws instead. I removed the stabilizers to lube them but upon taking them apart I couldn't find anywhere that wasn't already adequately covered from the factory, in some cases there was a little too much lube even. Ive seen reviews on youtube about the stabilizers being a little under lubed so it seems like Epomaker took this to heart, perhaps even overcompensating. I used Gateron Milky Yellow switches and dye sub pbt caps. I also did a tape mod, which was extremely easy on this board, just make sure you dont cover the rectangular hole on the pcb where the 2.4ghz dongle slots in or you'll have to clear it to mount the pcb in the case like I found the hard way. keyboard sounds good, nice and low pitched, but that is also due to my choice of caps and switches. Did the tape mod off rip so not sure how much this effected sound from stock but i love how the sound turned out so Id recommend trying if you are going for that lower pitched poppy thocky sound.I mainly chose this over some other options in the price range due to it supporting bluetooth and having some positive recommendations on youtube. It didn't disappoint. for a little over 100$ all in I built a board that smokes plenty of higher priced gaming keyboards. Sad to retire my apex 7 it served me well but I'm quite satisfied with the custom experience.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great budget keyboard
Case is made of plastic, just want to get that out of the way. Overall keyboard is great, it has a decent heft to it. Best thing is about this keyboard is, out of the box, it needs minimal modding (if you're a keyboard enthusiast). Plate mounted stabilizers are pretty solid and are pre lubed but not enough. Easy to setup, software and firmware can be downloaded through their website for further customization. Oh and it has south facing LEDs so no issues using Cherry profile keycaps.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great starter option
Super solid entry level option. I used this for my first attempt at a very beginner board, using Akko lubed lavenders and some generic xda keycaps. This thing is mad solid, no creaking, good weight and feels like quality construction. The LEDs look great even with solid keycaps, and get decently bright. Keeping brightness around 50%, battery life on this has not been an issue either. You can easily get a week of moderate usage out of it. The wireless dongle works totally fine, I haven't tested the Bluetooth yet but I imagine it's similar. I honestly love the knob too lol, a big improvement over my previous setup. All in all I'm super pleased with this, and would definitely recommend to a first timer!
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for smaller desks
The rgb is bright, and fun. It was hard to pry it open, so be careful to not make any nicks/marks. It has a nice heavy weight to it, and the volume knob is smooth and heavy. If you're using it with bluetooth, it doesn't indicate when the keyboard needs to charge (which is the only drawback tbh).
1.0 out of 5 stars Bad customer service
I ordered this keyboard and put it together with a set of keycaps and switches. The board itself works okay, but the keyboard won't connect to my primary computer via Bluetooth. Instead of offering to exchange or return this, customer service continually pushed me to accept a partial refund and to keep the keyboard, and acted as if this was my fault. I would never buy another keyboard from Epomaker again under any circumstances. I plan to throw the keyboard away, because without the connectivity I need above, this keyboard is not useful for me.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Board!!
Just received the Kit today and built it in less than 30 minutes (You must purchase your own Switches and Keycaps unless you buy the prebuilt one). It comes with a bit of foam and some dampeners for the spacebar so it doesn't sound hollow. For anyone wondering I am using Akko CS Vintage Whites as my switches and gives it an amazing clacky sound. The board is nice and heavy so it doesn't slide on my mousepad and feels like a tank. If you are looking for a great 75% budget kit I would really recommend this over some even more expensive ones!
5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Budget-Friendly Wireless 75% Keyboard
Having started my keyboard journey with a Ducky One 2 mini, I instantly became attracted to the custom keyboard community. I was looking for a wireless hot-swappable keyboard to travel to work with, but I did not want to spend close to $200 on a Keychron. This board checked all the boxes and has not had any issues with connectivity, even when switching between Windows and Mac. The top looks better than it feels, the dark shell appears to be metal on an initial look. However, it is plastic and the build does not feel as premium as metal alternatives. One plus is that it is relatively light due to this, and it may even assist with a stronger connectivity.
Good keyboard
The quality of the keyboard is really good. It comes with a switch/keycap puller! Feels fairly premium. Can't complain for the price, amazing keyboard
Tuve problemas para la conexión
Aparte del problema de la conexion, tiene un switch de encendido un poco confuso, su peso también se me hace algo exagerado
Great budget diy kit
Not my first built keyboard, but my first bought off of Bolo. Have heard great things about epomaker in the community and decided to try it out after my old trusty wireless keyboard died. Surprisingly good build quality with quite a bit of weight for a plastic cased keyboard kit. Sounds great with some SA profile keycaps and is a joy to type on with the switches I added into it. Epomaker software was very easy to use to change the color or the RGB to a single color, with non shine through keycaps its not as noticeable, as well as pairing with the usb was very simple after slowing down a bit and realizing to not plug in the USB before trying to use the pairing mode. Definitely recommend for a good clean diy kit build.
