5.0 out of 5 stars Pocket size but packs a real punch!
Fantastic little lens. Super image quality in a very lightweight form factor. I use this for both photos and video and it works incredibly well. No imagine stabilizing but at those focal lengths you can usually freeze things with shutter speed or put it on a body with IBIS and you'll be fine. This is rapidly becoming a regular on my X-S20 as a walking around lens for any occasion.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great lens
Great lens for a great price. Already captured some great images. Looking forward to my next trip.
5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good with minor issues (solved)
With firmware update on 3/23 (Ver 1.10), issue solved.‐-------------------------------Overall very light weight and small for F2.8 zoom lens.Pros :Good image quality in the center. Corners are meh.Smaller, lighter than Fuji 18-55mm, but little bit longer.F2.8 all range.Amazing short focus distance at 18mm. You can focus objects about 1 inch away from the lens.Quite and quick focus.Cons :Plastic body, but feels sturdy. (way better than Fuji 15-45's plastic body)Zoom ring turns opposite to Fuji's (you need to turn left to zoom). No aperture ring.No image stabilization.Currently there is a issue with the exposure at 50mm . I hope Sigma release the firmware update to fix the problem.(Issue solved with 1.10 firmware update)
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality
Great value. Build quality is great, image quality great.
4.0 out of 5 stars A no-brainer
This is a great all-around lens. I love the small size, light weight, and the image quality is on par with the best Fuji lenses I have. My only complaint is that the lens hood is too big and bulky and there really aren't any good third party lens hoods out there at 55mm that don't cause vignetting. Other than that, no complaints at all. It's basically all my favorite focal lengths in one lens.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing value
Very good standard zoom lens, amazing value for the price, great image quality, works great for photography and also video
5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, a travel lens I love
Perfect for travel - Fuji-true colors - great build. What’s not to like?
5.0 out of 5 stars nice, sharp, and compact
the perfect fit lens for traveling photographers
Excelente Calidad
Sigma no decepciona nunca, gran lente no lo quito de mi Fuji
Perfect companion to any Fuji
I bought this Lens along with my new Fuji X-H2. It is... perfect? Well when I say perfect I should qualify the statement. It combines excellent optical quality with a good f2.8 max aperture and decent macro capability in a small, light, well built package. All of this for a very decent asking price. In terms of price/ quality ratio, there's nothing better on the market as I type this "review".An equivalent Fuji lens would add a little more range at both ends (more useful at the wide end if I'm honest), all metal construction and better weather sealing. From the tests posted on the internets however, I would argue the Fuji's optical characteristics are more or less the same as Sigma's. The Fuji is unquestionably a great lens, but it is significantly bulkier, heavier, not to mention more than double the price of the Sigma. As an small added bonus, the Sigma has some (rather decent) macro capability. Many would argue against Sigma's plastic construction and rather basic weather sealing, pretty far from me in disputing that. I would add like to add however that the engineering plastic used here feels quite good and solid, plus the overall assembly is beyond any reproach and the action of both rings is smooth and without any wobbles whatsoever. Consequently the lens is a pleasure to operate. All in all, together with the X-H2, this little Sigma it is the perfect everyday "standard" use combo, one that served me well whether indoors or outdoors, including environments such as caves, dark churches or bright days in my backyard. I haven't used this for event shooting yet but I see absolute no reason why It would not perform just as well as my existing (older) Pro Nikon gear.
absolut empfehlenswert!
Super scharfes Objektiv! Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!
Brilliant lens for 40MP sensor
Was looking for a travel replacement for the kit Fujinon 16-80mm f4 as it really did not resolve well on a 40mp sensor. This Sigma lens is a dream for travel. Small, light, easy to use and f2.8 to book. It's resolution on the 40mp sensor is superb, almost like a prime. Good contrast and colour rendition. And is focuses ridiculously close. Compliments the X-H2 superbly. I doubt if I will ever take it off now.At half the price of any equivalent Fujinon lens, smaller and lighter and every bit as good - this is a no brainer.
Ottimo
Non ha nulla da invidiare al Fujinon 16-55 f2.8, qualità secondo me anche migliore con un peso quasi la metà. Bravi Sigma
