I now own two of these kitchen timers. The first one has lasted over a year without a battery change as yet needed, despite using it every day while cooking. The design is good, screen is large and very easy to see the minute & second numbers.

I like the big numbers. It's Easy to reset. I used it for work to time my breaks. I don't like that it is loud when setting it. Don't want to bother co-workers.

It looks like I got a returned item. The strip that blocks the battery terminal and keeps the battery fresh was removed, and so the display was already on. I decided not to bother returning it since it works fine. It wouldn't be worth my time to get the money back. In general, this is a reasonable design. It can count up or down to/from 99 minutes and 59 seconds. It has a spring clip on the back so that it can be clipped to something that is up to about an inch thick (3/4 inch or less is better). It has a wire bail that can hold the clip open to form a stand, so that the timer can sit vertically (leaning back ~22 degrees) on a flat horizontal surface. The clip has a magnet glued to the back so the timer can stick to a magnetic surface. You set the timer buy holding down the minute or second button and watching the timer count up to your desired interval. Counting up past 59 does not increment the minutes. The timer chirps annoyingly for each digit it counts up. You can press repeatedly to count up by one unit at a time. If you hold the key down, it counts up at about 3 units per second. You can clear the count to zero by pressing both the minutes & seconds key at the same time. Pressing the start/stop key begins the countdown. You can press the start/stop key during the countdown to pause and resume the count. The timer chips repeatedly on reaching zero. It does not count any further after reaching zero. Pressing the start/stop key stops the chirping and restores the count to whatever you started with. If you don't let the count expire and clear the count instead, it will forget your preset starting count. That will also stop the count - the timer will be a zero and not counting. If you press the start/stop key with a count showing zero, the timer will count up. While it is counting up, you can press the start/stop key to pause and resume the count.Issues: The glue on the magnet is inadequate. After about ten minutes on a vertical surface the timer came loose from the magnet and fell. The good news is that a thirty inch fall did no damage. I'll get around to fixing this with some better glue.The wire bail that holds the clip open as a stand sometimes gets stuck in its recess and does not open up easily. When that happens, it takes some tapping to get it to fall into place. Also, the wire bail has three positions that work. Getting into the intended position takes a little fiddling. The other positions are above and below this, and hold the bail at a slightly steeper angle.If you pick the timer up with fingers on the top and bottom edges, it is all too easy to press a button. This is a very minor annoyance.The battery cover comes off a little too easily. I haven't had it do that in normal use, but it did when fiddling around to learn all about the timer and also when it came loose from the magnet and fell on my countertop.

It is so easy to use and is very loud so I can hear it in another room. LOL! And the numbers are really bif so it is easy to spot even from a distance.

It’s easy to use. It was cheap because it is cheap. It didn’t take long for the magnet to separate from the body, fall off the refrigerator and come apart when it hit the floor leaving the magnet on the refrigerator.I put it all back together no problem I just don’t use the magnet anymore. It’s not reliable.But the timer does work as intended.
