Used one of these on an airline and it handles 200 psi just fine. Gasket appears to be Teflon and is impervious to chemicals or contaminants in the air line. No leaks after running it on a vibrating compressor for a month so far. I'm happy with this product , recommend this . Can't beat the price as well.,

Never heard about union with a gasket. The standard for a union is compressed joint with a tapered and radius fit. I installed this item and is liking every where. The 3/4 npt threads are not correct and they are not sealing properly and the Teflon washer is not sealing either.Like I said A Very Poor Quality.

The washer seems to be made with cheap plastic. It's very stiff and easy to deform even break apart causing substantial leaks. This is especially annoying if the 2 pieces aren't PERFECTLY aligned.I had to hand-made a rubber washer myself.The seller should provide a rubber/silicone version of the washer so that the union still seals with a reasonably small misalignment.

I'm using these for high pressure water and I did eventually get them to seal up but It wasn't easy.
