Some reviewers said it’s not firm, well they either got a different mattress or they’re lying. If it were any firmer it’d be close to a sheet of plywood with a cover over it.I’ve slept on futons most of my life & never thought much about mattress firmness/softness but I figured futons are more on the firm side. So when I decided to buy a new bed I chose this one thinking it’d be to my taste. Well, it’s too firm for me especially when I use my wedge pillow which I only use to read or watch TV, and my lower back really doesn’t feel great with my wedge. I don’t have any back problems, but this mattress has so little give that it made that spot on my lower back sore after an hour or 2.Sleeping on it is fine bc I don’t use my wedge to sleep so there’s no big pressure point. In fact I sleep great on it & wake up comfortably.I ordered a topper to bring a little cushiness in. I didn’t get it yet but I think this bed is good quality and the price so reasonable that I didn’t mind spending a little more for a topper. Seems like it will last a long time so even though it’s a bit too firm for me I think it’s perfect for someone looking for a truly firm mattress.UPDATE 2-3 weeks later:I added a 2” gel memory foam topper which oddly made no difference, so I added 2 quilted mattress pads and a cotton quilt, but somehow it all made no difference. Been using this setup for 2-3 weeks and still have lower back pain from laying on it with my wedge pillow. I want a comfortable bed both for sleeping and for relaxing with a book or watching TV, but this mattress has no intention of allowing me to be confortable, especially when laying on my wedge. I’m not sure what the problem is, possibly the springs are just too rigid…possibly just not enough padding on top…? I didn’t even buy the option that says “firm” or “extra firm”, I just bought the 10” full. So whatever the problem is, I finally had to face the fact that it wasn’t going to get better, unless maybe I continued adding more & more layers on top of it, each incurring more cost and making my headboard shorter & shorter. So as much as I might have been thinking to foray into the princess & the pea territory, I finally woke up & realized my ceiling is only 9’ tall so I had better just return it and get another.

I ordered the firm matress and it is perfect. Always worry about the firmness when you buy these. But I found this to be a perfect "firm" rating. Good padded surface. Like typical, I added a mid quality matress pad to help keep the matress clean. I found the surface to be smooth and soft yet I stay on top (not sinking into it) as I'm 220 pounds. My old matress was just too soft and too warm (all foam) so sunk in and just grabs you when you move. This matress keeps me on top (sinking in just enough), easy movement, easy in, easy out. I think the springs make all the difference allowing easy movement in the bed and makes it lighter for changing the sheets. I'm sleeping like a rock now!!P.S. - I debated on the 10", 12" or 14" and am supper happy with the 12". Fitted sheets are easy to put on and a nice height.

I recently got the PurrJoys Double Mattress, and I must say, I'm impressed. First off, setting it up was a breeze—it took about 5 minutes to unpack and unroll. Even with a sore back, I managed just fine.When I first saw how light it was, I was a bit skeptical about its comfort and support. But once I laid down, wow! It's surprisingly firm and molds to your body nicely without sinking too much. No creaking or sagging, which is a big plus.The memory foam feels plush yet supportive, and I've been getting better sleep since using it. Plus, it doesn't transfer movement.Considering the price, this mattress is a steal. It's comfy, supportive, and definitely worth every penny. If you're looking for a good night's sleep without breaking the bank, I highly recommend giving the PurrJoys Double Mattress a try.

Thought it would be weak and lumpy, however this mattress is firm and supports the hips and back very well. The cooling portion is awesome. I hate getting to hot while sleeping. Very good product.

I didn’t expect much from a mattress rolled up in a box . My first choice was a traditional purchase from a store, but the cost of a box spring and mattress was out of my budget .The mattress in a box was going to be a temporary fix . What a nice surprise ! The queen size mattress popped itself to life once the plastic was removed . It is the perfect combination of not too soft but not too stiff, box spring not needed for additional support . I am very satisfied with this well made product.

This bed definitely exceeded our expectations. We spent 2-3 times this amount a few years ago for our mattress and it was so uncomfortable. We opened this bed and allowed it to expand for 72 hours and it was like sleeping on a cloud. My husband and I have both slept better and are not hurting as much when we get up in the mornings.

This is a nice mattress for the price. It’s comfortable, perfect for a guest room. Will need a topper to have the luxe feel of a main bed. That being said it’s lacking in some ways.1. There is almost no padding around the coils, so they are easy to feel and the mattress feels underfilled2. The “foam” top layer isn’t as thick as advertised, only 1/2-3/4” thick3. The bed is VERY bouncy! VeryAll in all, the bed is comfortable, and much cheaper than others available. But it also just feels cheaper. I’ll be buying a nice foam topper which will help a lot.
Pleasantly surprised!
When I ordered this, I worried that there wouldn't be enough support at the edges, or that it wouldn't be thick enough, or that it would be too thin. I was happy to find out I didn't have to worry. I found the mattress extremely comfortable. I've now had my 3rd solid good night's sleep!IT comes in a box, that is heavy as heck and looks waaay too small to hold a queen-size mattress. It came a week early- to my happy rejoicing. I wiggled and dragged it to my bedroom, and peeled the old mattress off my bed (We've been overdue for one for years) I opened the top of the box and wiggled the mattress in its bag out onto the bed platform. Reading the instructions and using the special tool- I opened the outside bag - It immediately starts sucking in the air- which is weird as heck to hear form drinking in the air. I carefully unfolded it to spread it over the platform of the bed- before taking off the inner wrapper. It was like watching those sponge toys you got as a kid- it flumped up into a normal-looking mattress within minutes. Of course, I had to lay on it to see what it was like... COmfy!It came with a mattress cover to protect it.The hybrid part of it keeps it from being too soft- I've slept right on the edge and not rolled off or even felt like I was rolling off. It's firm where it needs to be firm, and soft on top where you sleep. *disclaimer- We have a 3 inch foam mattress cover that I'm using with this- but even without it the bed would be comfortable.*Very happy with my purchase. Here's seeing how long it lasts, and if the company stands behind their warenty if it doesnt.
Great product and works well
Great product and works well. I purchased this for my sons bed and it is great. Very comfortable and soft. I actually love sleeping on it too and would recommend to others. My son was giving trouble sleeping through the nights but since purchasing this mattress and putting it on his bed he sleeps through the night every night! I use this alone without a box or anything and it is perfectly comfortable. Thank you.

Arrived quickEasy set upThe mattress came rolled up and compressed in a tight box. Came with a special cutter so I didnt cut the mattress. Decompressed very quickly and is comfortable.I'm very happy with this purchase
Nice but not as soft as I'd hope it will be
The media could not be loaded. At first, I didn't expect it. It's be full on mattress. I was skeptical, but I'd rather reviews and I decided to go for that. It is pretty comfortable mattress and it is not short. It's considered to be tall. I'd say I got same length from bricks before. I haven't slept on it yet. I'm waiting for my bed but they look at it. It's pretty decent especially for the price. I'll give it 4 stars still need to buy extra padding for more soft sleep
Great bed!
Im a very happy customer! I was a little nervous to buy this type of mattress. But the price was sooo good. And who isn’t looking to save a buck these days? The reviews were great so I chanced it! I’ve been sleeping on this bed for about two weeks now and I have zero complaints!! I find the firmness level to be perfect. Forgot to take a picture once I opened the package. But if you’re thinking of buying this bed, I say go for it!
