5.0 out of 5 stars Nice unit
This soldering station is pretty good. You can control the heat with the dial and it will go from 180c up to 400c . There are a few things I wish they would have changed like the solder burner cord is kind of stiff and you have to watch when you are working you make the whole unit move. I mounted on a board with the solder spool. Helps keep it from moving . This unit it self has been doing a fine job I have been using it every day. The other thing is the solder they give you isn’t that good it needs a lot of heat to melt. I went out and got some good solder , it works good. It comes with 6 tips, a tip cleaner , and sponge. I’m still giving it 5 stars because works good and so far I’m happy with it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Above expectations
Arrived sooner than expected. Very easy to use and arrived in good condition. The size is larger than expected which was nice to see. Quick to heat up and the various tips help with the accuracy and functionality.
4.0 out of 5 stars 100W Digital Display Soldering Iron Station12-in-1 Soldering Kit
OK, where do I start...I want to give some of my background, I have done a lot of professional soldering in my life, as I used to work for a very big electronics company doing repair work and I have also done freelance electronics design, repair and assembly on and off over the years... I have used very expensive top-of-the-line solder stations all the way down to the few dollar wand from your big box retail store...My first impression was how lightweight and hollow this solder station is... It's all plastic except for the small bracket that holds the solder roll, even the cradle that holds the soldering iron itself is plastic as is the sponge and cleaning pad wells... This thing is bound to move all over the desk while using it, and that is not ideal IMO... I like a solder station that stays put, especially when I'm trying to dock the wand... The fact that it's entirely made of plastic means that you are going to experience burning plastic as you use it and bump it with the iron tip, while trying to put the wand back or when trying to clean the tip...On to the accessories, the solder sucker, tweezers, and side cutters are sufficient and what I expected, the two rolls of solder are what they are, just a small amount of solder on a big roll, but then comes the flux... I expect and with the accessories included that most people will be buying this to solder electronics, and although there is an ample (large) amount of paste flux provided (labeled Solder Paster) as seen in the attached picture the flux is "not suitable for the soldering point on Integrated Circuit" aka its not your modern no clean electronics safe flux and very well might be acid based and even with cleaning as the label suggest it could very well cause a future failure if used for electronics... I would honestly toss the included flux and get some 'no clean' flux made for electronics if you are soldering electronics...I'm still giving it 4 stars because for the price point, I was not expecting much, and in the end the soldering iron does work and most of the included accessories are functional...
5.0 out of 5 stars First project had over 2400 solder joints.
Soldering tip came to temperature quickly which was nice when it decided to go to sleep from lack of use during set up time. I preferred a larger diameter solder so didn't use the rolls supplied. Will try them later. i am pleased with the performance of the station overall and have found the tools to be of good quality . I built an 8x8x8 RGB iCube with it. 512 LED's with 4 connections per plus power and circuit board connections. Actually, 3,592 connections not counting replacement of defective LED's. I am happy with the final result. Tips can't store much heat. Suitable for light work.

1.0 out of 5 stars NOT 100W
Had high hopes for this soldering Iron. advertised as 100w, it is not maybe 40. couldn't solder 2 small 20 gauge wires together wanted to use for soldering small wires to circuit boards. cant even melt the soldering wire that comes with it. Its a bust don't waist your money on it. It is a classic case of you get what you pay for.
5.0 out of 5 stars Solder station
Looks well built and good quality. Have not used yet because of injury. Will try to update laterWorks good but don't have tip I really need for slot car repair. Not a problem though. Recommend if you need a small soldering station
4.0 out of 5 stars Great all in one kit for beginners
As you get into the hobby of electronics you tend to end up with a few soldering iron's. I have several from the portable battery powered type to the high end costing several hundred dollars. That being said I am very, very impressed with the kit and performance of this iron. First this is a great all in one kit, it comes with pratically everything you would need to get working on projects out of the box, even including two spools of solder. The iron itself is pretty decent, above average even in this range in how well it works. It gets up to temp pretty fast and the tips heat up evenly. I am not sure how accurate the temp set / actual temp is but it seems to be close enough to what I am used to working with. The only ding I can give this station is for the plastic construction of the frame. It feels like decent enough plastic but if you accidentally let that tip his this for more than a second your going to end up with some nasty holes and the wonderful smell of burning plastic.
