5.0 out of 5 stars Very solid scooter for an adult and a great value!
This is my first electric scooter and just finished an 8.2 mile ride with a pretty intense hill and still have 48% left on the battery. It took about five minutes to assemble right out of the box. Install four screws, charge up, and enjoy.I was impressed by how solid this scooter feels. I am just under 200 pounds and it felt very stable riding at full speed. There are no concerning sounds or rattles coming from the scooter anywhere. I wanted a scooter with 10 inch solid tires for durability and longer tire life however, you will feel the bumps more than you will likely feel with a scooter with pneumatic tires. But I was OK with giving up a little bit of comfort to not have to worry about a flat tire. The app was very easy to install, and instantly connected to the scooter with a lot of cool features you can control right from the app, Such as drive mode, headlight options, cruise control settings, and more. For a 36 V 7.5 amp hour battery I was very impressed with the battery life. I don’t doubt this will be able to get its estimated range in eco mode. The 350 watt motor seems to be more than enough to scoot around pretty quick. I had no problem hitting a top speed of 19 miles an hour in sport mode on flat roads. I will say I did hit a very steep road entering into a park, I’m not sure what the grade was, but I could only reach a top speed of about 6 mph until I got to the top of that hill, but I mean a very steep hill. The electronic front brake and rear disc brake feel very balanced, and are perfectly adequate to slow down the scooter from any speed safely. The side and rear turn signals are a nice feature and cruise control is very easy to set and use.It folds up very easily for storage and is a very sleek looking scooter.I don’t think you can find a better scooter in this price range.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good product
Overall it's a good product. Recently purchased after issues with bike. It's a great mode of transportation for people in cities, and suburban areas.I have gone about 80 miles with it since purchasing it.On the technically side when the batteries are fully charge, expect it to go fast and long distance. However, being cautious in cities due to other cars and vehicles should be considered. The wheels are stable making it easy to use on flat surfaces. It can also hold itself on rocky, gravel, partially sandy areas at parks. A bit bumpy on unfinished road however it continues to keep it's speed. It can be easily folded making it an easy access to hold and carry. More importantly storing it in a closet or small space when it's done charging.Breaks are good and it's overall a nice design. The app is pretty sweet as it comes with the stats of the scooter. It's a nice product for commuting to work, joy rides, fun activities and outings. I recommended.
4.0 out of 5 stars Was hoping for a little more oomph.
As a whole it is not bad for short flat rides like zipping across campus. Plan to look for something with a little more hill power/longer battery life.Pros: Easy to put together. Feels sturdy. Handles uneven sidewalks decently well. Headlight provides plenty of light for night riding. Bell is nice feature. Accelerates pretty quick.Cons: Reflector on rear guard was not attached well. It popped off somewhere on ride one. Just got home from 11 mile ride flat ride. Return trip was at night so was using headlight. Battery was on full charge at start and died at mile 10. Had to kick push last mile. Top speed shows 18mph and on a hill drops down to 5mph.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good first e-scooter.
I purchased two (2) of the 5th Wheel V30 Pro scooters and the setup was very easy. They were well packed and the instructions were very easy to follow. Once everything was setup, the V30 Pro were fully charged and ready to go. The ride was smooth. I chose the V30 Pro because it has the larger wheel setup (10"). However, the ride still is bumpy. Also, the V30 Pro states the scooter can go 18mph top speed... on flat/level surface, we were only able to achieve about 15mph-16mph speed. My kids are under 110lbs each and I weigh 180lbs. We haven't tested the battery to see how many miles it can truly go on one full charge. In terms of reliability, time will tell. Given this is our first e-scooter, wish the ride was not as bumpy and the speed does not reach the max 18mph, as advertised.UPDATE (8/16): I was contacted by 5th Wheel's customer support and they provided clear instructions on how I can address my concerns. Tip: there are different settings to manage the ride speed of the V30 Pro. This is a great feature as I can control the speed of the V30 Pro when my kids are riding. Overall, I am really happy with my purchase of the the V30 Pro (I purchased 2 units for my family) that I am looking to purchase another 5th Wheel electric scooter! Excellent electric scooters and awesome support from 5th Wheel.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great scooter!
I got this product last week and played it for a couple of days before writing this review.First, this 5TH WHEEL V30PRO is very easy to assemble. Only 4 screws to put everything together and the screwdriver is provided. I have a power drill that made the assembling much easier. It took less than 10 minutes to set up.The build quality is really nice, you can feel it's well-built and solid by touching it. The attention to detail is excellent too. headlights and tail lights are added, making it much safer to ride while dark.I'm new to the scooter world but I have to say it took almost no effort to learn how to ride it. Everything is designed so intuitive that I started enjoy the riding within 10 minutes of first using it. The scooter is powerful, accelerates quickly and can run really fast. The range is also impressive, charging is fast too.I haven’t run into any problems in the last few days of heavy use.All-in-all, this thing is just what I was looking for. Very satisfied with my first scooter and I’m glad I made the decision to buy it, plus there was a big deal on this, BUY IT.
