This premium 2 lb bag opens up a world of possibilities for those following a gluten free lifestyle or dealing with celiac disease. Our unique blend, featuring gluten free wheat starch, sorghum flour, and xanthan gum, ensures your favorite breads maintain the taste and texture you love, without gluten. Perfect for creating artisan boules, bagels, cinnamon rolls, and burger buns, this flour allows you to enjoy classic yeasted recipes. Each bag yields three artisan boules when baked in a 4 qt. Dutch Oven, providing ample flour for multiple projects. When using this flour, add 2-3 tablespoons more liquid per cup of flour in your recipe. Dough rises about 50% faster than traditional wheat-based dough, so adjust proofing time accordingly. Preheat your oven early and add 5-15 minutes to the total bake time for best results. Our blend contains gluten free wheat starch for structure and flavor similar to traditional recipes. This allows those with celiac disease, gluten intolerance, or those living a GF lifestyle to enjoy delicious yeasted baked goods. Sorghum flour adds nutritional value and authentic bread flavor. Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. Use within 6-8 months of opening. 5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Gluten-Free Baking!
I’ve been using this gluten-free flour for a few weeks now, and I’m so impressed with how well it works in my baking! As someone who needs to follow a gluten-free diet, I’ve tried several flours, and this one is by far my favorite. It has a great texture—light and airy—and it behaves just like regular flour in most recipes.I used it to make cookies, muffins, and even bread, and everything turned out delicious! The taste is neutral, with no weird aftertaste like some gluten-free flours have. My baked goods have a soft, tender crumb, and they rise perfectly every time. I also love that it’s made from a blend of high-quality ingredients, so I don’t have to worry about additives or fillers. The flour is easy to work with and doesn’t clump, making it a breeze to measure and mix. I’ve also noticed that it doesn’t absorb as much liquid as some other gluten-free flours, so I can get the right consistency for my batters and doughs. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-quality gluten-free flour, I highly recommend this one. It’s become my go-to for all my gluten-free baking needs!
5.0 out of 5 stars Consistency, Quality, Flavor
If you want TASTY gluten free bread then you should make your own and this is the only gluten free bread flour for the job as long as you are NOT truly allergic to wheat as there is some wheat starch in this flour. It may seem a bit pricey but when you consider that you can make 3 loaves of bread from one sack of flour then you will find that the value really is there. Totally worth it. This flour is about a dollar more at my local store so the savings are here for sure. When baking loaves of GF bread with this flour there is actually the subtle scent of BREAD in the air which is quite pleasing and not to be had with other gf flours. Loaves taste like bread, the texture is bread like, and the slices have the strength to support a burger or a loaded sandwich and can be used for nice, THICK slices of GLUTEN FREE FRENCH TOAST. Buy it and then bake it. You won’t regret it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product - easy to use in GF baking
One of the best 1-1 flour substitutes for Gluten Free baking. I can't make my own blend for the cost of this one that's as easy to use.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best GF bread flour ever
This has changed my baking and makes amazing sourdough
4.0 out of 5 stars Great Brand
I purchased this to use with a new sourdough starter. Unfortunately, the sourdough starter instructions warned against using gluten-free flour that contains xanthan gum, to initiate the starter. I purchased a different gluten-free flour without xanthan gum to rehydrate the starter. Once the sourdough starter is rehydrated and growing, I look forward to using the King Arthur flour to make some great sourdough bread.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worked pretty good for GF
Been gluten free for a while now, and tried a few different flour blends. I feel like this bread mix was great, I used it for cinnamon rolls and was pleased with the rise and bake. They were a little dense (but that’s gluten free cooking for ya). Overall something I will be using to make pretzels with soon so I will report back on that, but I’m happy.Made the pretzels and was happy with the rise and bake as well! Still a little dense (as usual) but I was satisfied with them. (:
5.0 out of 5 stars It is better for bread!
I have been using the King Arthur Measure for Measure and the Bobs Red Mill gluten free all purpose for years now. They were great for cakes, cookies and biscuits, but bread was always dense and sad. I was introduced to the Capetto Fiorglut wheat starch for pizza dough and was blown away (if you are gluten free, but don't have a wheat allergy check this stuff out! Amazing), so when I saw that King Arthur had a flour that also utilized wheat starch I had to try. My son made enriched dough for dinner rolls and cinnamon rolls, one batch from this King Arthur Gluten Free Bread Flour and one from the gluten free all purpose and there was a definite difference. The bread flour version rose better, had a lighter, fluffier texture, and that wheat starch adds a wheat flavor and aroma that has been missed! Is this just like glutenful bread, absolutely not, but it's a step in the right direction! We are looking forward to trying more recipes with it!
5.0 out of 5 stars The best!
This bread flour has been the best Gluten free one I have tried. The bread is always soft and tastes great. It can be hard with gluten free baking, but this one has good consistency and rise. This will be my go to!
