5.0 out of 5 stars Back up camera
Its crystal clear. Very difficult to install. I had to get a mechanic to assist. There is no phone number anywhere to get help. Nothing on the box or the little piece of so called instructions that are so tiny, you need a magnifying glass. They dont really tell you anything. It cost me 150 dollars to get put on. Once in, it works ok. The radio needs an antenna. It will cut in and out. I like the clarity. However., I wouldn't buy it again or recomend it unless it's someone tech savvy. It's hard to program and hard to set. Still dont know how to pair the phone with it. Nothing to tell you how to attach a front camera either. Price was good. I think another type of camera for more money would be better.
1.0 out of 5 stars BAd product.
Don't really like to criticize , or leave bad reviews, but in this case I feel I should to save other people time, I purchased this radio and installed myself, ran and fished the back up camera wire and fished the dash cam wire, fishing the wires were complicated, once hooking up the stereo it would not provide sound on the complete right side if the truck, done some simple test with my volt meter and determined that the stereo was not functioning as it should, sent In for a replacement of the exact same item and installed it and everything worked but the microphone when I made calls people said they could not understand me , the radio before was making clear calls. so now I have to crawl back under the truck un wire camera and send 2 stereos back, I have purchased a lot of good items off Bolo but this one has gave me a great deal of issues, hope this review is helpful and saves someone else some time. I am going to spend a little more money and get something a little better. CarPlay worked perfect though, which is sad that is why I purchased this itiem and really wanted to keep it.
5.0 out of 5 stars 00' ranger. grab a harness kit. dont need dash kit.fit oem bezel with mod. TRUE carplay. o-k sound.
works decent. Sound is O-K. its got a equalizer, but i would almost just rather have a treble-mid-bass adjustment.. Works good enuff for daily driver.. The speaker mic. that picks up your voice too talk while driving is not great, but my truck is older, bit noisy.. But its not a bad unit for what you pay.. AND yess it does have true wireless carplay and or android auto.. or wired.. BUT.. sometimes it acts up,. especially if someone hooks there android too it, then you try too hook your iphone back to it, its a PITA.. If your only one using it. with your phone, youll be fine. And if it does act up, there is a tiny lill reset button for a thumbtack you can press to reset it..Ive had other styles of thee, And they sounded better, but did not have true carplay wireless.. so it is what it is.. But sounds decent enuff too use in a work truck, or comuter. If your puttinm this in a ford ranger, like a 98-03? I put it in a 2000, and i did not need a dash kit. I actually had too file, and dremmel the OEM bezel to get the screen too fit threw- the stock bezel.. then i used the 2x metal mounts they give you, and bent them in a ushape, and use 2x self tappers too hold the unit in.. (but if you file/sand/dremmel the open tite enuff, you hardley need a bracket.. maybe just 1 too keep it from getting pushed too far intothe dash..
4.0 out of 5 stars Great screen really nice Upgrade
Works fine, but volume button is tiny, have to look for the knob and pinch with two fingers as seems sunken in. Equalizer noise feature over drives bass to a muffle, and radio signal now seems to need a bit of a boost compared to OEM radio, and a bit clumsy trying to set stations, other wise everything else is great, Bluetooth remembers your devices, using for navigation screen is bright enough during daylight to see clearly. Would buy again.
3.0 out of 5 stars Initially worked great
I bought this to put in my grandson’s truck. It was easy to wire with decent instructions. Everything powered up and worked great. After about a month the left rear channel went out. Wiring is ok, speaker is ok, just no out out from radio. Disappointing.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money for sure
The wiring diagram with this unit is extremely clear and easy to follow, had a bunch of connections that my older car didnt even have or need. The camera included for a backup camera sounds really cool in theory and I was gonna try to use it but after seeing how huge, cheap, and clunky it is and feels. I walked out to my car and realized there is absolutely no where to mount such an atrocious thing.Other than this... the units display is pretty trash but that's what I was expecting for a near $60 head unit. But to be honest, for 60 I'm really happy with it. I put this into an older work truck turned outdoorsy camper truck and the install was easy, the volume knob right next to the touch screen skip button can lead to a lot of accidental clicks but it takes some getting used to. I bought it mainly for its Apple Carplay feature and I'm not disappointed at all.
2.0 out of 5 stars Eventually stops working
This worked great up until about 3 months ago. The android auto was great the wireless would work great. All of a sudden one day it made me download something to my phone for it to work. I can no longer use android auto because I refuse to download an app that's not from Google play. They want you to down load something to mirror the screen from a website. Bluetooth sounds good tho.It fits pretty well in my 2006 Ford expedition limited.. I did have to use a framing plate to make it look better.
5.0 out of 5 stars perfect fit, low cost.
1995 yj easy install looks great. only issue so far is when i set bass, treble, or presets like rock, jaz so on it sounds great. But as soon as i touch the volume it goes back to default. still 19 bucks and the usb phone ports are great. cheap radio if the crack heads still it, you only lost 19 bucks.
