Very well made yet simple. Installed easy and lit right up when powered on. Used the software to set them completely up. Not only do they sync up with each other but, the software will sync up with other Govee devices in the Scenic Dreamview section. Very cool!

I got these mini-cans to replace the ones the builder put it. I got them to accent and go with the Permanent outdoor lights I put under the soffit. These can lights are fantastic and sync very easily to the app. Highly recommend!

I installed these in our living room and wow, what a game changer. We have GOVEE smart lights on the outside of the house and the wife was hesitant to put them inside as well. Well after installing them she has seen light - literally.Interfacing with Alexa is amazing as you set the color temperature and brightness levels from your own couch without the need for the Govee app. The Govee app is nice too. We used it to set up lighting for movie night and used it to make a Halloween light show inside the house for when the trick-or-treaters came to our door.I took off one star because they did not install flat in the sections of our ceiling where there were floor joists. They stuck down about a 1/4" and required some creative wood working to make them fit flush to the ceiling. Other than that, installation was breeze and setting them up couldn't have been easier.

I went through several sets and finally landed on these. I'm completely satisfied and love the govee brand. Very easy to sync with my app and add to my existing givee products. That said though, be aware you will have to remove existing boxes if you have those in the ceiling. These, like most LED disks, won't fit in existing j-boxes. Once you knock those out, installing these is easy.

Originally I encountered a problem where every time I tried turning the lights off they started to flicker and would lose connection. I realized this was due to my light switches being dimmer switches, they’re unnecessary anyway because you can just tell Alexa to change brightness or use the govee app.I’m not an electrician in the slightest and I was stressed about the whole process but just a couple YouTube videos later I learned how to do it myself and they’ve been working flawlessly since. Have had gives products for years and they have yet to let me down.

Very simple install for these lights it’s practically plug and play.Low power, good brightness, and the app functionality is basically endless in terms of options and colors to choose from.
Pretty Smart!
I set these up in my music room, with the knowledge of how good my other Govee products are. The physical swap with my original LED flat lights was almost effortless. Ie. pull the old ones (spring loaded clips just like new ones have) out of drywall ceiling (used a slim blade to get a pry started so I could continue with my fingernails, removed house wiring from old control boxes, pulled entire assemblies out (nothing bolted down inside ceiling), installed new control boxes (~5 mins each), plugged new lights into control boxes, installed supplied clips into each light, re-inserted back in ceiling.The rest is easy with the App. Found each light via bluetooth to hook up to my wifi, named each one 1-4 for easy recognition and singular control if wanted, grouped them together as a 4 pack for that room, also grouped my Govee TV backlight in that same room (picture shows an example of them grouped in a monotone red). The App gives you hundreds of colors or "scenes" if you want it to be dynamic, themed, or simply monotone. You can also just turn them on for work lighting along with the typical range of white colors... and they're brighter than my original dumb ones. I have to say I'm impressed with my Govee products and will continue looking at their growing lineup.

Installation was straight forward and the lights were very easy to set up in the app itself.I ran into a problem with 1 of the 4 lights but I reached out to the seller and they got back to me same day with help.

Edit: I have added a star as I got a replacement through Govee customer service .I noticed one more thing: there is no cUL or cETL marking on the driver or light.Please take a look at the photos to assess the quality of the electrical box. It appears that the knock-out hole cannot be removed. Additionally, the lamp's body is quite thick, even thicker than drywall, measuring approximately 3/4". The wires are too short, one inch longer would make installation easier.However, the most concerning issue is its functionality: There is a noticeable 3-4 second delay from the moment you turn the switch on until the light actually comes on. This delay is quite frustrating. Grouping the lights doesn't seem to work as expected. Although you can group them, changing their configuration all at once is a slow process. Even when using preset modes, it takes about 30 seconds for all 8 lights to adjust to the selected configuration. These lights lack microphones, and they require a sync box or Lyra lamp that can control 5-7 lights simultaneously.I've been a satisfied owner of several other Govee products in the past, but unfortunately, these lights don't meet the same standards. Perhaps a future software update could improve their performance, but currently, I'm struggling to see the value in this product.Update , customer support sent me a replacement.I would like to add more info .The control through Govee app is sluggish but much faster once you use a sync the box ( Govee music sync box) . Remember one of sync box control 7 devices . In my setup I have 3 rows of 5 lights and I use 3 boxes , I setup up on sync box for each row and the effect is very nice . Lights are not sluggish under the sync box control , it takes a while for the box to take control of them - maybe 15-20 sec ! but once they are under the sync box control the lights are really dynamic I will try to upload a video .Based on the functionality under the sync box I have added one more star.
