5.0 out of 5 stars IDEAL FOR COMMUTING!!!
I weigh 250 lbs. and commute 2 miles to catch a bus and then another mile to my office and back 5 days a week. Scooter has the excellent torque everybody mentions and easily and quickly collapses to store under the bus for my commute and just as quickly unfolds and snaps into position for use (literally a couple of seconds). I've already used it in the rain multiple times. This is a very high quality scooter and considering the price, I'll simply quote a good friend and say "it's a SCORE!"
5.0 out of 5 stars Happy with the purchase
My first e scooter, so I have nothing to campare with. However, it is awesome. Runs quietly and is easy to drive. A high quality scooter.- Kent
5.0 out of 5 stars Vmax VX2 Pro GT: Big Guy Approved!
Vmax is a Swiss company, known for their precision and quality, and that really shows in the design of this scooter. Setting it up was super easy – a few tools, some screws, and I was ready to go. The premium details, like the thumb throttle, integrated bell, and drum brakes with regenerative braking, give it a smooth, high-quality feel. The grips? Probably the best I’ve ever used on a scooter – super comfortable! What I Liked:Powerful motor: It’s got a 500W motor that peaks at 1300W, which got this big guy (6 feet, 265 lbs) up some steep hills, including the infamous “hill of death”! I was seriously impressed.Waterproofing: With an IPX6 rating, I took it out in the rain without any issues. The mudguards kept me dry too – no more arriving with a muddy stripe up my back!Comfortable ride: Despite not having suspension, the 10-inch tubeless tires provided a surprisingly smooth ride. Great for city streets.Safety features: The lighting is excellent, with bright brake lights and indicators. And the regenerative braking is smooth and efficient.Cruise control: Once you get it set up, it’s a game changer for longer rides. What I Disliked:Heavy: At 45 lbs, it’s not the lightest scooter. While it folds easily and is manageable to carry, it might be a bit much if you're constantly hauling it around. Not for rough terrains: This scooter shines on smooth city streets, but if you live in an area with tons of potholes or big cracks, the lack of suspension might be a downside.Who It’s Best For:Big riders who need a sturdy, reliable scooter that can handle hills.City commuters on smooth roads who don’t need extreme speed or suspension but want comfort and durability.Rainy weather riders – its waterproofing is excellent, making it a solid choice for wet climates. If you live in a place with steep hills, rough roads, or need a lot of power, this might not be for you. But for city commuting, smooth rides, and moderate hills, this scooter is a winner. Plus, the battery life is great, especially with the larger GT version. Definitely big guy approved!
4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but too heavy
I need to fold this and carry it with me when taking public transportation.40+ lbs is a too big burden for me. Think about subway stairs and long exchange hallways.I could pay more if they use light-weight material such as carbon fiber or aluminum.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing build quality!
This is my first electric scooter and I am more than satisfied. The build quality feels really good and sturdy. I would say I was hoping the mobile application did more like lock the scooter or even register the scooter with an id which will help if the scooter gets stolen. I would also other comparable scooters in the market in this price range do include suspension but it has driven great even without that till now. I would highly recommend because of the build quality, the speed and range.
2.0 out of 5 stars Tires easily pop, E3 Error at 600 Miles, Waiting to see how VMAX responds.
I had both of the tires pop, front tire at 150 miles, 2nd tire at 350. Put better aftermarket tires on and haven't had any issues since. Then at 600 miles in my scooter turned off mid ride and gave me an E3 error. Tried trouble shooting it and no luck. I have reached out to VMAX to see what they'll do for me, I'll update my review after it's resolved.Besides that the scooter was very nice. It easily hit 25MPH, the turn signals as well as all of the other lights are very bright. The breaks were solid, but if you are going closer to the max speed you'll want to give yourself more time as they suffer a little bit with stopping power. If you're going below 20MPH you shouldn't have any issues with the breaks at all.The suspension is on the weaker side, you'll definitely feel any bumps you go over.Overall I'd look at other scooters in a similar price range, but if the price of this scooter is your budget you won't be disappointed. For another 100-300 dollars you can get something a little bit faster with better specs.
Top Scooter
