About this item:
What is maple sugar? Granulated maple sugar is a simple ingredient made from the sap harvested from the sugar and red maple trees native to the Northeast. Year-round forest management maintains and supports the health of our woodlands which contributes to abundant sap harvests each spring when it’s harvested. Sap is then boiled into maple syrup. Maple syrup is dehydrated and made into maple sugar, a granulated maple product that is fit for any baker’s pantry.

This is a wonderful, tasty, easy-use product. It’s almost like brown sugar but just maple goodness! We use it in pancakes, baking, on top of muffins or cupcakes, smoothies, toast, fruit salad, chia pudding, oats, etc.!If you haven’t tried it you should & this brand is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delicately Sweet & Naturally Healthier Maple Sugar-Yummm!
My tastebuds *LOVE* this maple sugar! Extra fine granulated texture that sticks easily when sprinkled on dry snacks (like potato chips or buttered toast) and also dissolves well when blended into liquid/creamy stuff (like milk or yogurt). The maple flavor is very subtle, which I didn't mind because I was looking for a natural and healthier sweetener that would enhance but not dominate whatever food/beverages I added it to. Other maple and honey granulated sugars I looked at were too coarse or too powdery. This Butternut Mountain Farm brand turned out to be the perfect balance for me! Item arrived quickly and no issues with the packaging. Will definitely order again!
5.0 out of 5 stars True maple flavor!
We love this maple sugar! It's a very fine sugar. Not quite as fine as powdered sugar, but not as granulated as typical granulated white sugar.... it's somewhere right in the middle. It truly tastes like maple syrup, not quite as deep and rich as the syrup itself, but pretty darn close. When reading reviews for various maple sugars, I noticed many people expressing the opinion that the flavor was not strong. I am not sure what people in general are expecting, but to us, this tastes exactly like maple sugar!Unfortunately, a little bit of that deep maple flavor will be lost in the process of dehydration. But we feel like this maple sugar is very good quality. We'll definitely be getting it again. We sprinkle it on oatmeal, add some to an espresso shot or add it to a homemade latte, it's good in certain teas like rooibos, delicious sprinkled on top of homemade sugar cookies (or any cookie), it's even good sprinkled on buttered toast with some cinnamon, and really good in homemade maple meringue cookies!
4.0 out of 5 stars Maple sugar
I like better the maple sugar from Canada , for some reason tastes more intensive flavor, and I haven't use it for my business blend I decided to get the Canadian and keep this one for my own consumption , it does taste good
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent...but too expensive to buy anymore.
I was using Maple Sugar for my recipes, but it went from less than $14 a pound to over $22 a pound. I understand everything has been increasing in price, but to go up over 50% in price it hard to understand.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great taste and very versatile
I’ve started looking into maple sugar because of its lower glycemic index and versatility. It sweetens very well, and can easily be substituted for cane sugar when baking. It dissolves well in coffees/teas and doesn’t have an after taste
5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Replacement for Granulated Sugar
I used this in recipes, coffee and tea. It doesn’t taste as sweet as granulated sugar, but it has a unique flavor that works perfectly in many dishes.
