The media could not be loaded. Don’t let the subscription deter you, this alarm clock is completely usable without it. The monthly subscription is mainly for more sounds and bedtime stories, plus 2 added steps to your sleep/wake routine which are ‘Unwind’ and ‘Morning Moment’. I’d suggest setting up some routines while on the free version, to get the feel of it first; then get the free trial and immediately cancel, so you don’t get charged but can try it out for a month. If you realize that you like the subscription version more than the free: the monthly price is $5 totaling to $60 a year, and the yearly subscription is $50.I can naturally wake up to the morning sun, but have to get up for work before the sun comes out so I opted for a sunrise clock due to phone alarm issues. Hatch claims this alarm is science-backed in lulling you to sleep but also waking you up gradually and peacefully. I can for sure say this was the first morning I have not woken up to a jarringly loud alarm then jumping out of bed after realizing I snoozed all 10 of my alarms.The sunrise feature is super customizable, you can have the dim clock go super bright within 5 minutes or up to an hour. There’s 12 sunrises and 13 alarm sounds to choose from without a subscription. There’s also 28 different sleep sounds for free! I chose brown noise since it’s a more gentle sound than white noise and it definitely helped me stay asleep the entire night, whereas before; I’d wake up numerous times every night then feel super tired/groggy until mid afternoon.The biggest issue for this clock is that it relies on a constant and good WiFi connection. If you live in a small town like me where if one cell tower goes down, you’re stuck without WiFi and no alarm clock.I got the Putty color option, it’s definitely a lighter tan with a hint of pink. The video I included shows the Brown Noise sleep sound and the light color Evening Sun. There are instructions that come with the clock that tell you where to touch for adjusting the volume and light, how the two Rest/Rise buttons at the top work, and how to set up the clock within the app. It took about 10 minutes for my clock to connect and register to the app, so don’t be worried if it takes awhile for you. Upon opening this alarm clock, I’d recommend placing the box upright and pulling the top of the box off, so the clock stays in the bottom of the box and doesn’t fly out (like iPhone boxes).Not only is this an aesthetic clock, but it’s also a sound machine, an alarm, and a curated sunrise. The ability to have a different alarm schedule is a huge bonus as well, especially if you have a differing morning routine depending on the day. Honestly, the price could definitely be lower, but I believe it’s just about worth it over other options.

I originally had problems with my clock, but the customer service at hatch is extremely nice.update, i’ve been using my clock. hatch was very kind about my issue. i’m still unable to tap to view the time on my clock but they did actually update and access my clock from the home base (this was so crazy can’t believe this bc i didn’t know what was going on). and i really appreciate their efforts. now about the clock.i love the design. it’s perfect it looks stunning on my night stand. i love the buttons. the fact that one is concave (i think that’s the word) rly helps when im tired in the morning.the app, i loooove the app. i love the interface and the customizable features. personally, i stopped using the sunlight feature because i am very sensitive to light and it would wake me up way before my alarm clock. which i’m sure is the best thing…. but like i want the most sleep possible because im a kindergarten teacher and im exhausted.i love the different sounds.. i do wish they would add a rain in the car sound 😩 that would make me ink. or just more realistic rain sounds. the rain they have rn is kinda funky. overall, i love this clock and i would buy it again and again.i originally got this clock because i suffer from PTSD. this causes nightmares & it’s made the process of going to sleep difficult. i would do anything to avoid going to bed. aka doom scrolling. this clock has meditations which i’m so thankful for as they have seriously changed my life. i want to cry just thinking about it because i am so grateful for the way it has helped me love going to sleep again. the sound baths also have helped me with the lights.i know the price point is steep. but in my opinion there are only a few things in life we need to spend good money on: a quality trash can, organic fruit and meat and a clock. this clock is going to be with you for a while. your sleep and well being will ALWAYS be worth the investment. never cut corners on things that affect your mental health. trust me:)
So worth it!
I was very sceptical at first because it seemed like a lot of money for an alarm clock, but I was quickly humbled. It is NOT just an alarm clock, it has so many amazing features that have seriously changed my morning and night routines. I love listening to white noise to fall asleep and used to just play it on my tv on YouTube but the ads would always wake me up in the middle of the night and affect my sleep. This device has many different options for white noise/ brown noise that will have you sleeping like a baby. I have always used my phone alarm to wake up and that would send me into a panic almost every morning with the startling loud sound. Now I get woken up with a beautiful “sunrise” and birds chirping. It changed my mornings, I used to wake up moody and tired and now I wake up feeling happy and refreshed. So do something nice for yourself and buy this device!! It’s seriously a game changer 100/10 would recommend!!
No UK plug
Im astounded that a device sold in the uk doesn’t come with a uk adapter!! How is it supposed to work. Surely a customer shouldn’t have to pay £185 for a clock then have to spend more money for an adapter.

I absolutely love this . I got the oat colour and it is very cute in my bedroom. I also love that you can have a background noise all night with this. It is a bit pricey but definitely worth it if you are looking for something like this. Also very easy to use and to control with your phone
Changed my sleep forever
This thing is the best.I’m now waking up refreshed, recharged, and on a consistent schedule. Highly worth it! The app is also amazing. Pictures don’t capture the light well. It’s an even, soft glow irl
Do Not Waste Your Money on the Hatch Sunrise Alarm Clock
This product is a complete letdown and an outrageous waste of money. At over $300, you'd expect something premium, but what you get is a barely functioning, frustrating mess. The sound choices are annoyingly limited and far from relaxing, and the light options are just as disappointing. The app is a nightmare—glitchy, counterintuitive, and nearly unusable. I can’t even add a light to my alarm, which completely defeats the purpose of a “sunrise” alarm clock! This is a ridiculously overpriced gadget that does not deliver. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. I would never buy this again.
