5.0 out of 5 stars Very good!
Stands firm. Super adjustable. Remote is easy to pair and works perfectly. A little large when folded, but can fit in a backpack or carry on. Holds iPhone 16 fine!
5.0 out of 5 stars Best tripod! It's a workhorse!
Best tripod ever! I use it daily in multiple locations. It's solid, rugged, easy to assemble. It's lightweight, fits in my backpack, sets up quickly, yea Clamps, and is SO SOLID. I couldn't ask for more. And the price is right!
4.0 out of 5 stars Versatile and great for small devices but larger Ipads Problematic
This has been a great little tripod, the many customizations and Bluetooth remote incredibly helpful. My son is a music major and must record himself playing and performing. Unfortunatly his Ipad I a little heavy for the device while it fits it does make the stand slightly unstable and tends to have trouble staying locked in a position. Nevertheless it does work and is a very versatile and well made tripod
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for the price
At time of purchase, was less than $20.The tripod does everything i need. I bought & have been using it mainly for my laser level at work. The unit feels cheap, but is sturdy and versatile. It already has quite a bit of use, and just get collapsed and thrown in my tool bag or box at the end of the day.I have used the phone clamp to take some photos of the project, just because i could. Convenient, and also sturdy. It does not have a fine tune height adjustment, but I have found the sliding bar/set screw to be just fine and able to get the spot i need without much fuss (actually quicker than the Bosch unit with fine tune, due to the wide "clicks" or the rack/gear on the bosch)
5.0 out of 5 stars The best budget tripod EVER
This tripod is a STEAL, it can 100% hold some heavy rigs and setups. Most of the budget tripods either lock but have a weird flex top, or don't lock the height stick. This is a great deal.
5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight & Versatile
I'm so happy I happened upon this tripod. I wanted one that's lightweight, compact and inexpensive - is that so much to ask for? I found all three in this product. I will be using this for audio field recording to capture ambient nature sounds in the woods, bird calls, etc. I have a very compact and lightweight setup so that I can hike and carry everything I need in one small pack. This JUST fits the minimum folded size I would need. As you can see from my pic it attaches nicely to the outside of my small gear bag. The bag itself is about 12" long and the tripod folds to about 15" long, so it overlaps a little, but it works. I should note that's without the adjustable head attachment.I plan to use this with a small stereo mic bar (which screws directly onto the bare tripod) and two very small microphones, so I'll be using it without any of the attachments. And because of my lightweight gear, I don't need this to support much weight.Things I like:1. Incredibly lightweight, given how high it expands. I can lift the entire thing, opened or closed, with my pinky finger.2. Flip Locks make it very easy to adjust, it only takes a few seconds to expand it. I like these much better than twist locks.3. Multiple Positions - This can go from about 14" to 65" inches when open, which I find incredibly impressive given how light and compact it is when folded. It can work on a tabletop, it can be taller I am, and everything in between. Note: The reference to it being 68" is with the attachments. The max for the unit alone with no attachments is 65" (that's with the small center bar extended).4. Slim Design: I love the slim design, so it's not only light but it's not bulky like some tripods are. I'm thrilled that I can strap this onto my small gear bag and it doesn't get in the way at all.5. Fun extras: It has the standard head of course, which has basic tilt and rotate abilities, it also comes with a cell phone holder, an extra quick-release attachment, and a cool little Bluetooth remote control. I didn't buy it for that but tested it out and it easily paired with my android phone, which is a cool bonus.Downsides:1. Not Heavy Duty - The only real downside I can see is that if you're looking for something you can beat on, put heavy equipment on, etc., this is probably not ideal. The tradeoff for such a slim and light design is that it's not going to be as durable and sturdy. If you need heavy duty and light, you might look at carbon fiber models, but for this price range, you'd have to get something thicker and heavier for it to be heavy duty. That's not to say this won't hold up, so far it seems fine, it's just clearly not meant for heavy equipment or rough treatment. It even comes in a nice-looking manufacturer box and has a drawstring carry bag so it would make an excellent gift. The price point on this cannot be beat for the value you get. Oh, one little word of caution: Be careful unboxing it, the tilt handle is loose and has a tiny washer that I immediately dropped on the floor and then spent 10 minutes crawling around trying to find.
5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight but Very Sturdy
I find this tripod surprisingly sturdy for its weight. It is very easy to adjust the height and mount a camera or tablet. The only thing I can't find is the name of the remote that comes with it, as I would like to find out if it can be unpaired from one phone and paired with another device (phone or tablet). Any help here would be appreciated.
3.0 out of 5 stars It's a great looking tripod...
Before you buy, read and wait...Love the lightweight tripod. I've been using it for over a year. I needed a good tripod to travel. However...It has never been level. Now normally a cheap tripod, I expect this. But you will see in my attached picture where the level starts uneven. Even with the weight of the camera, this does not correct. I generally have to lower one leg slightly in order to have a level shot. Very annoying. But I dealt with it...until...Notice that the clip of one of the legs of the tripod is broken. I would understand if the entire clip had broken off. Then the piece was defective. But instead, this small area appears to have been broken because it has been used and it wore out. My problem with this piece being broken is that I have purchased $15 tripods that have lasted me much longer than a year. So, this is a great looking tripod. It has been versatile and is lightweight. It is totally worth the money when you are giving it a look over online. But, if you are someone who uses their camera daily and often needs to carry a tripod with them, maybe keep looking? I'd be happy to know if Zomei has updated this product over the last year to create a better performance for the $40 pricetag.
Decent for the value, a little loose
Great value product as I just needed a simple tripod for indoor use only. The added Bluetooth shutter remote is very handy and works for photos and video on iOS devices.I find the legs to be sturdy enough for my liking, but the phone holder is not as tight as I'd like. I also find the phone clamp itself to be way too stiff which is 1. Annoying if you've spent time getting it into position (especially with it being a bit loose), 2. Feels like it might break at some point and 3. Is a bit rough on the phone case/phone.
Cheap but it works
This tripod is sturdy enough and does the job for my self-tapes with my phone. As others have mentioned, you need to be careful with it because it's made a bit flimsy. As long as you are gentle, I think it will last a long time.I just wish the phone holder was a twist for tightening instead of a stretch clamp. I feel like that may break sooner.Overall happy with it, and it's price.
Perfect
Very sturdy and leightweight, perfect for travel
Léger
Le seul défaut j’aurais aimé une manivelle pour rehausser le plateau
works good, a little flimsy up grade
up grade to a heavy duty one, but good if you want a light travel unit
