I’ve always had a more sensitive stomach and have been curious about potential food intolerances, so when I came across this brand and saw how simple the process was, I decided to give it a try (especially since this was a more affordable option compared to other tests). The process to give a sample was super easy (literally had to ship a few strands of my hair) and all of the required materials were included as well. I got my results in about a week and was surprised to see not just the food intolerances I had, but also the environmental items that I never considered to be sensitive to. I’ve been eliminating a few items from my diet that were listed as “severe” for me, and have been seeing positive results so far. I think this is a good option for people who are curious to learn more about their own body and are looking for an affordable option to do so.

I was shocked how simple this test was. They could not make it any easier! 3 very basic steps to complete and then mail off. I got my results very quickly. I was shocked to see things that did not know I was sensative to and please to have confirmation on items I assumed I was allergic to. They test both food and enviornmental elements and rate them on a scale of 1-3 so you know the "severity" of each.

If you're interested in unproven pseudoscientific or "energy" reading based results then this does what you want, but I was under the impression the at the testing would have more science behind it. I don't trust the results but I guess it could be what someone is looking for. The marketing needs to be more straightforward as I'm very dissatisfied with way it was presented.

I have had GI issues for some time and figured I really had nothing to lose. After purchasing the kit, the instructions were simple and easy to follow. I received my results rather quickly and boy was I surprised! I eat on the run alot! Apparently I was consuming too much processed foods. I wasn't happy about having to change my lifestyle, but after 3 weeks of eliminating the foods I was reacting to, the bloat and belly aches are gone! Trying to keep motivated to keep this going for another few weeks but not gonna lie, I am looking forward to seeing what food items I can finally reintroduce back into my diet. So far. I am loving 5Strands!

I got this test because I was curious to know what allergies I have. The test was easy to use and I received my results quickly. I was surprised to find out what I was allergic to. All the allergies I have are mild, so I still continue to eat the foods I have a reaction to. I don't know if this is worth the prize, but probably cheaper than some doctor's visits if you are not insured.

I had been dealing with skin irritation and uncomfortable bloating for a while. I tried this out of curiosity to see if it could help me answer why my body was reacting strangely after eating certain meals. I found the instructions easy to understand and the test was simple. I got my results in quickly and it gave me some helpful guidance when starting my elimination diet.

I've taken five tests, thfee different manufacturers. They all do the same thing....the results do show what foods you are sensitive to. Here's the kicker...if you've eaten any of the listed foods recently before taking the test, guess what? It's going to show up as a sensitivity on the test. Blood or hair. That's why recommendations are to eliminate foods listed for accurate results. You'll get the same advice if you just started eliminating suspect foods in groups...like fish, shrimp, meats, starches, wheat etc. You still have to do the elimination to figure out what the issue actually stems from. Save yourself some money. I wish I would have.
