(function(){ P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function'){ A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })() I recently purchased this and have been absolutely thrilled with the experience. As someone who isn't very tech-savvy, I would like to share a few tips for those who might be in the same boat.First Impressions:Okay, so the box and the setup and operations instructions were questionable. I guess this must have come from a third-party seller because Samsung could NEVER. However, out of the box, the monitor is a beauty. The screen is expansive, and the design is sleek and modern. It's perfect for my home office setup, surrounded by my plants and cozy decor. The ultrawide aspect ratio is a game-changer for productivity and gaming alike.Resolution Setup:Initially, I struggled to get the monitor to display its maximum resolution of 3440 x 1440. After some research and a bit of trial and error, I discovered that the secret lies in using a USB-C connection. If you’re like me and not too familiar with these things, here’s a simple guide:Check Your Cables: The monitor comes with an assortment of cables, including HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB-C. Make sure you're using the USB-C cable that supports video output. Not all USB-C cables are created equal, and some only support charging.Right Cable Choice: After downloading various programs to change my resolution and having no luck, I realized the provided USB-C cable (often referred to as a "lightning cable") was actually the fix. Switching to this cable instantly solved my resolution issues.Update Drivers: Ensure your graphics card drivers are up to date. This can often solve resolution issues.Adjust Settings: Go to your computer’s display settings. Under “Display Resolution,” select 3440 x 1440. If this option isn’t available, reconnect your USB-C cable and restart your computer.Performance:Once I got the resolution sorted, the display was breathtaking. The colors are vibrant, and the extra screen real estate makes multitasking a breeze. For gaming, the high resolution and refresh rate provide an immersive experience. I’ve also found it fantastic for video editing and other creative tasks, where the detailed visuals make a significant difference.Extra Features:The monitor comes with a few extras that are worth mentioning. The built-in blue light filter is excellent for long work sessions, and the customizable settings allow you to tweak the display to your liking. Conclusion:Overall, I highly recommend this monitor. It’s a fantastic investment for anyone looking to enhance their workspace or gaming setup. If you’re struggling with getting the correct resolution, remember to use the USB-C cable that comes with the monitor and keep your drivers updated. This monitor is worth every penny, and the setup is a minor hurdle for the massive benefits it provides.
5.0 out of 5 stars Big!
I've always dreamed of having a big one and this one is too big for sure. The screen is sharp and bright. I thought it would be better for me during cad drafting sessions, but frankly, it is too big. I have to cursor around a lot more and my old 27" was better for navigating and zooming and the proportions were better for drawing. For everything else, though, it is an excellent monitor. Refresh is high, image is sharp and bright. Plenty of room to put stuff on the sides. Pictures and movies look spectacular! I recommend it for everything except for drafting because it is too wide for it, though sharp and bright enough. For drawing you need a monitor where you don't have to swing your head left and right so much. My 2 cents. Excellent product and arrived well packaged, un-damaged, and on time.
5.0 out of 5 stars Huge and awesome
Looking at pictures and guessing just how big this is, you will be wrong. This is a very wide monitor. Get a tape measure out and check out your desk. Get a sheet of cardboard or something, just the tape measure doesn't do it justice. Loved NOT having to put the display together out of the box. Pre-assembled . The screen (without the bezel) is about the same height as my 27" which is what I wanted. I didn't realize that this one had the Picture by Picture until I was looking at the OSD on the display. I hooked my 2010 MacPro and a Windows machine to it and it works great. Mac on one half and Windows on the other side. You can also switch which computer you want on either side. You do have to have the computer you want to go back to full screen on the left side. I haven't really tried to see if you can pick which one goes full screen without switching it over to the left side. Just happy it works and just a few changes on the OSD menu so doesn't really take that long to change. Very little documentation on using PBP. Pretty much any review online said very little about it.I'm not a "Pro" so take it for what its worth but the text seems to be great to me, sharp and no blurriness or color shift that I can see using PBP or full screen on either computer. It does seem to be a bit bright with a web page open or looking at a document or anything with a white background at least in a dark environment. Haven't had a chance to play with the controls yet. No missing paint on the bezel and bezel was still whole with no gaps on mine. Hopefully they updated everything. No back light bleed that I could notice anyway. The joystick on the back of the display for the On Screen Menu isn't that bad. No worse then my Samsung 27" front panel "touch sensitive" buttons. I haven't really played with the FreeSync or using the 100hz display yet. Still trying to get my Steam games to work after building a new PC and moving my bootcamp games to a new SSD. The biggest problem seems to be going from W7 to W10. Unfortunately I don't have a Thunderbolt 3 capable computer so can't use the same keyboard/mouse on both computers. (I think, still tinkering with it).Which comes to my displeasure's with the display. 1-DP port and 1-HDMI port but two TB3 ports that supposedly you can't switch between. I don't have a TB3 capable computer so can't use it anyway. Would have liked to have both computers on DP but I figure having two different ports is the only way to have PBP? Also mine came with the "Leaning Tower of Pisa" mount. The display dips to the left almost an inch. Feels like the mount is a little loose. It will move up if you lift the corner. I believe another reviewer online mentioned they put a small weight or something on the back of the opposite side to level it. I have so much crap on my desk I just prop it up with whatever is handy at the moment, at least until i look at the mount and see if I can do anything about it. More likely when the wife gives me the evil eye about my mess. Speaking of which, the draw back of having a pretty back side is you have to have a funky vesa mount adapter to mount it on an arm. Which it did come with.I still get a chuckle when you move a large window from one side of the display to the other as it looks like your sliding a panel instead of a window with the curved display.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great monitor for WFH use
I only use this monitor for work (no gaming), but it has exceeded my expectations.Pros: Resolution and pixel quality is great, color is vivid. It was easy to setup and isn’t too heavy, despite its size. It feels sturdy yet sleek, and I love the white base. Monitor is easily adjustable up and down, side to side, and face orientation.Cons: sound quality is slightly lacking. The sound is a little echo-y, and volume control is not intuitive and a little annoying. I will probably go back to using my laptop speakers. It was also a little disorienting when I first started using it. I’m used to smaller, flat monitors, and switching across screens with the curves left me with a little vertigo. It took probably 15 minutes to get used to, and know I find it difficult to go back to my laptop screen!
Gran Calidad y precio justo funciona correctamente y es de gran calidad la imagen

Good monitor with minor suggestion.
The product arrived with a massive crack on the LCD. The box looked like it had been handled poorly but not enough to cause that crack. Returned it immediately.UPDATE: the return took a while to process but it was competed successfully. The new one works very well. The only criticism I have is the poor cable management system, which is just a rubber clip that comes loose easily. Also, I bought this monitor for $549, but now it’s up to $999. It’s a good monitor but not worth $999.
Great monitor
Very nice monitor. Very sharp colours and easy to set up. Also fits my monitor light bar better coz my other monitor was curved so I intended to have this as a secondary monitor but I've now actually made it my primary monitor.
Está bien
Me gusta que se auto regula el brillo con el ambiente.La uso para programar y en ocasiones diseño. Para diseñar está muy bien.
Awesome Monitor
This is an awesome monitor - using it with M1 MacBook Pro. The people who are complaining that you cannot control the volume and brightness of the monitor when connected through the MacBook should know its a limitation of MacOS and not the monitor. There are utilities available to get this done. And to people complaining about it being washed out. unless you have superman laser vision - it is fine to my normal eyes. its 3440X1440 stretched out on a UltraWide VA panel.only wish was for them to have usb 3.0 instead of the usb 2.0. hard to find a monitor with actual TB3 ports (lets alone 2 of them) in this price range. The monitor is sleek and does the job for me - browsing, emails, movies, Netflix, YouTube, minimal photo editing.
