5.0 out of 5 stars turns on, does the job, overheats if you continually feed it hundreds of papers
I was able to tell from the heat when to turn it off, but it might jam if you don't stop and let it cool off. I had to shred a big box of junk mail several years growing, and it worked for me. the bucket it comes w as a container is a bit small, seemed to get full after 10-20 papers. Only time it jammed was when I let those papers go past the point it said I should empty the bucket, so it's working good so far. I wouldn't recommend doing the 8 papers at a time thing, it could get angry at that many. 3-5 at a time was decent.I wasn't the best at making sure no plastic went through the paper shredder, same with glue, but there weren't significant issues. I would strongly suggest you do not put paperclips or staples through, but if you miss a bit of plastic from an envelope it won't immediately die. Reverse function works good to eliminate jams, but what was most effective was adding more paper in the same direction. It didn't shred my credit card very good (fully legible name etc, and shredded in inches it looked like), but it was better than cutting it in half with scissors. I didn't test out any cds.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent
This is a good size for ease of use at home. It works well and is not noisy. Shred the paper nicely.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great product
The machine works very good and looks very nice but the sound seems like a little loud
5.0 out of 5 stars Works really well!
For the price value, it’s worth the buy. The top is detachable so it’s easy to empty out when you need to—I usually do this when I see it’s ~80-85% full to avoid paper jams. I haven’t had any jamming or power issues. No overheating either, if you just feed it the maximum #of sheets it allows you to. If you have a lot that needs to be shredded (like I did), you can actually do so without any overheating by feeding it slowly. I ran it for 25 mins straight with no issues by feeding it every ~15-30 seconds.
5.0 out of 5 stars Eight Pages to Shred
This is my second shredder as I destroyed the 1st one of same brand name. It worked great until the severe clog took place and attempting to remove the clogging didn't help; guess I burned up the motor before realizing it was clogged up. Eight pages is a lot of paper to shred at one time using this shredder and I didn't want to risk the same situation after learning my lesson. I only used two sheets at a time and put it through and the shredder accepted it with no problem. I did tear off any staples attached prior to shredding to be safe this time around and the light stayed green while using it. I had a lot to shred up after cleaning out last years old files, so it got a good workout. Just make certain the shredder container is emptied as soon as you notice the strips coming to surface as it could get caught back up in the shredder and cause a clog. I did enjoy working with the shredder and did not experience any woes as the 1st time around, so I'd say any issues I experienced was of my own making. It is noisy, but I can handle that. It did what it's suppose to do w/o any complications. The shredder also is lightweight enough to carry and work with in any area. I chose the kitchen so I could easily sweet up any paper shreds.Another nice thing about using a paper shredder is paper burns faster and is easy to ignite helping a fire get started and burn much faster; especially during the winter months standing in the cold weather. In a zone free country lifestyle, we can burn our paper which aids in using less landfill space and we have glass, metal etc., to dispose of. We never leave a fire unattended while burning.I would also suggest not to shred any papers that have sticky glue, sticky labels or that rubbery type that allows other paper to stick to, just to make sure the paper doesn't gum up the shredder. Having treated the shredder responsibly will allow it to work well and be a good investment for a long time.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good paper (and not just paper) shredder- good purchase
Great paper shredder and not only paper, it can shred credit cards and CDs, great value for money
3.0 out of 5 stars Shredder works fine but is not stable
The shredder works fine for shredding paper but it falls over easily as it is top heavy and small. You have to be careful to have it in a place where it will not fall over. Next time I'll get a larger one or different style that doesn't easily tip.
5.0 out of 5 stars Shredder
Perfect size document shredder for home use.
Déchiqueteur à papier et CD
très bon produit de très bonne qualité et livraison très rapide
Quick Response from Seller
The seller was very quick and kindly refunded my money when it was discovered the shredder wasn't designed for Australian 240V AC power. Due to their good service, I would definitely purchase another product from them.
Good size for home office. Very lightweight
Home office good unit
Smaller than expected, fits description
This shredder is good for occasional and light office application. Not appropriate if you wish to shred many documents at a time. Reasonable value for money.
Convenient size
It works well, but noisier than I expected.
