    Work well on my Trex decking would given it 5 stars but the screw head are made of softer metal and hade a bunch strip out, but I still saved a lot of money

    I used a total of 1250 of these hidden fasteners on a 800 sq/ft deck this summer.I used Trex deck boards and these fasteners worked just as well as the Trex brand and at nearly half the price.The screws are not torx (star) drive but they are robinson (square) drive.I think I actually prefer the robinson drive on these smaller stainless steel screws - I didn't strip a single one!And yes, the screws are indeed stainless steel (tested with a magnet) and the head of the screw is painted black so they are as discreet and don't catch your eye at all.

    Worked like a charm - the trick is to set them with a drill that has a clutch on it - NOT an impact drill.Get them close to tight, then place next board and then hit the last 10% to snug the two boards up.

    I just finished a 32' by 20' foot deck using Trex deck boards. I needed over 1,400 pieces so I ordered this 1000 box and 2x250 piece boxes (12" joist spacing).The parts overall dimensions are the same as the Trex clip. I had only 15 parts from the 1K box that the screws fell out. They are about half the price. I verified that the screws are stainless steel. They have a square head instead of a torx.I highly recommend these.

    Just finished building my first Trex deck. These made this such an easy and neat looking job. If your deck is going to be fairly large this is the way to go, way cheaper than the box stores for the exact same item.
