The instructions are not written very well at all. One experiment calls for edible oil (not included) but doesn't tell you what type. It also asks for a spoon full but the kit comes with 5 measuring spoons, so I have no idea what size to use. It made these experiments so stressful as most of them did not work.One experiment calls for colored drink. Are we talking Juice or soda?It seems like these instructions were translated (poorly) into English.

We had so much fun measuring and testing to see the reactions. Great directions and neatly packaged hours and hours of fun.

So we did one experiment so far. “Color fountain.” My girl definitely had fun. On the instruction cards it doesn’t give exact measurements like it said “add three spoons of baking soda” they give you a set of measuring spoons so you don’t know which spoon to use, and I had to guess and used the medium sized one, it made a big over spill. It also said to use detergent but it did not come with detergent and didn’t specify what it meant so I ended up using laundry detergent, I’m not even sure if that was right but I think it worked the way it was supposed to. Overall it’s a lot of fun I just wish I had better instructions.

Just did several of these experience RS with a 3 year old and 6 year old. Very easy, kids had a blast!

So fun, easy to do experiments with everything you need in the box. We are having a blast doing these experiments with our grandson. Great product I would highly recommend.

If this was gradable I'd give it a C-. 1st, 3 of the test tubes were cracked, broken and 1 was missing a corner which made it have a sharp edge. Also, missing the antiacid tablets & 2 other ingredients that were for certain experiments. Gave it 3 stars for "age appropriate" because we'd classify this for more of age range 8-10. I bought this for my 5yr old nephews Valentine's Day "Love Basket" (like an Easter basket, but for V-Day) It didn't really hold his attention or be a kit that he could do mainly on his own with supervision obviously. Him being 5, he was a bit bummed that it wasn't something he could solely do. He's such an independent young man. Personally, I wouldn't purchase this again as a gift nor even recommend it to anyone. Looks much more exciting online and then get that regretful & embarrassment feeling when opening the package upon arrival.
