5.0 out of 5 stars Great stabilization, feels solid, easy to use

The media could not be loaded. This is my fourth gimbal (OK, maybe I have a bit of a problem with buying too much gear ... but hey, I like toys!). I started with a Crane M2S, which didn't handle my camera very well. I then got an iSteady M6 with an add-on AI tracker to use for my phone, which worked great. I upgraded my main gimbal to a Weebil 3S, which worked really well, but didn't have an AI tracker ... and finally, I've moved to this. This is going to sound nuts, because every other review is talking about all of the high-tech features this thing has (and they really are great), but the real game-changer for me is something very old-fashioned: the built-in kickstand. WHAT A FANTASTIC FEATURE, so cheap and simple to implement, that completely changes the experience. I don't have to attach a tripod to set it on a table, I can just flip out the feet and set it down. WHY don't more gimbals have this?! I know you're all like "C, it's a $300 gimbal, we don't care about the $5 plastic feet" ... but you should. It's amazing to have, and one of the reasons that this gimbal will probably be the one that ends up in my bag from here on out -- I don't like having to leave a mini tripod attached to my gimbal just so that I can set it down.Having said that, this thing also nails all of the gimbal functionality as well (which I fully expect for $300). All of the stabilization modes work fine, it has the requisite joystick invert settings (I'm one of "those" people that like my vertical tilt inverted), and it's unflappable in the face of wild motion. In the video I posted you can see my hand literally shaking, because it took my 3 or 4 shots and I was getting pretty tired from single-handing it, and it was still keeping the camera steady with aplomb. The touch screen is a nice touch (har, har, har), and makes using it easier, although I'd recommend a quick browse through the manual to understand the layout of the menus.Balancing was well documented and I nailed it the first time, no complaints there. The locks work well, the slides all have plenty of range, and it was on the "good" end of the gimbals I've had in terms of balancing and assembly ease ... from a mechanical perspective, it's very well thought-out. Speaking of documentation, the manual is written in clear and good English ... I've had some of these products where you could tell that the docs were written by people who speak English as a second language, but that wasn't the case here. The included box has a nice foam insert that everything fits into. After getting the (admittedly fancy) bag with the Weebill that is HUGE, I appreciate the compactness of this gimbal and how easy it is to take along. Frankly, I'd rather have the box/foam included with this than the massive bag included with the weebil just because it's easier to tote along ... the obvious downside being that you'll need a separate bag for your camera (which you no doubt already have).I love this thing. If you buy one, I'm sure you will too.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Balanced, Versatile Gimbal! Excellent!!

    A.C. · September 3, 2024

The media could not be loaded. I was pleased with the quality of the Scorp 2 Gimbal as soon as I opened the box. It was packed well and each piece was solid. The printed instructions were clear to follow, had a large enough print, and pictures to get me going. Going online with the included QR Code, brought me to the app and instructional videos for this specific gimbal to get it all set up.I use a Canon 6D Mark 2 and the balancing process was the easiest process of any gimbal I have used. Once I got it physically balanced, I turned on the Scorp 2 and through the connected app on my phone, the balancing process was then fine tuned with what I needed to do. (The best I have seen.)Once balanced, I picked up the Scorp 2 and I was amazed at the ease of holding this even with a heavier camera. The design of how it is held in your hands puts little stress on your arm. With your connected camera, cords included in the box, you have full control of your camera through the joystick and various buttons. The touch screen is very helpful in getting what you want. (Although there was a small challenge on my part to get to the English screen.)When placed on a flat surface or holding it in your hand, the AI tracking was incredible and very accurate. I have not had a single glitch in it following me. If you are the one on the other side of the lens, you can start and stop the tracking with ease. You can also snap a picture with a three second delay by showing your palm. The same way also will start the video if you are in that mode.I have not yet tried it on my cell phone, but I am sure for those times that I use only my phone, it will be just as great as with my DSLR.As a videographer, I have used a few different gimbals, but this one outshines them all. Even with the initial setup, this gimbal is intuitive and easy to use. The high quality, easy to follow instructions, the balance, AI tracking, and quality have now made this my go-to gimbal for my job. As much as a gimbal can, this one makes my life just a bit easier.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great option for a gimbal that's easy to use.

The media could not be loaded. Just wanted to share a quick review of this gimbal. So, I've been using it for a bit now, and honestly, I'm pretty impressed. It's lightweight, but still feels really solid - perfect if you're out shooting for long hours. The setup is super simple, and I love that it has this touchscreen on the handle, which makes it easy to switch between modes without messing around with buttons. It's smooth, like butter smooth, and handles all the basic moves really well - no shaky footage here! One thing I noticed though, the battery life is decent, but it's not going to last you all day if you're shooting non stop. So maybe bring a power bank just in case.Overall, it's a great option if you're looking for a gimbal that's easy to use, portable, and packed with features without breaking the bank. Definitely a solid pick for creators who want smooth shots on the go!

    Powerful gimbal with cool features

    M. · April 18, 2024

The media could not be loaded. The Feiyutech scorp 2 is a seriously impressive gimbal. I love that I can track subjects without extra gear, and it's perfect for quickly switching between landscape and portrait video formats. It handles my DSLR smoothly, and the battery life is solid. The touchscreen is a nice touch, but there are A LOT of controls to figure out, which would need a lot a lot of practice. The knob, different shooting modes, and app all take time to learn. There's definitely a learning curve. However, once you get the hang of it, this gimbal opens up a lot of creative possibilities. I'm happy with my purchase and it will take some practice to master it.

    Très qualitatif et complet

    Y.B. · August 1, 2024

The Built-in AI Sensor for subject tracking. With a simple gesture like making an 'OK' sign, I can enable subject tracking, and other gestures give me control over photography and video. The ability to shoot vertically without extra accessories is a huge plus. The quick-installation system has been fully upgraded with new-generation L-shaped mounting plates and an anti-off quick-release slider.I absolutely love the 1.3-inch touchscreen on the FeiyuTech SCORP 2 Gimbal Stabiliser. It's incredibly intuitive and provides clear, real-time updates on filming status and parameter settings. During shoots, this feature has been invaluable, allowing me to make quick adjustments without having to fumble through complicated menus or rely on my phone.Overall, the FeiyuTech SCORP 2 Gimbal Stabiliser is an outstanding upgrade from the previous model. Excelente Gimbal calidad - precio

    I.C.E. · April 17, 2024

Consigliato senza riserve, 5 stelle
