After buying into a lot of Asian skincare hype, I've become more discerning about hype vs reality. I do think the Laniege milky toner does live up to the hype.It's a very creamy water consistency, literally like watered-down milk. It's very moisturizing and hydrating in a very thin way, by which I mean it's thin enough to be buildable and layerable depending on needs. I've seen reviews of others who can use this as a moisturizer alone in certain conditions. I've not yet tried it alone as where I live has been incredibly hot and dry for a long time, but when it's more humid and sticky outside I could see me trying this as a simple moisturizing product.As it is now, I layer it under my daily moisturizer and feel it gives a nice boost. I also layer it over tretinion at night and under my night cream and oils. A bit of extra something that's subtle but very noticeable at the same time.It does make my skin very shiny for a few hours after application. I'm not a fan of the glazed donut look, so I was nervous about this at first. Once it sinks in, the shine is very dewy, not a greasy shine, that makes it easier for me. As the day wears on and the product soaks in, my skin is no longer shiny but has such a look of softness. The product itself isn't really "soft", it's not sticky per se but has a definite tacky-ness that's noticeable if you touch your face. By days end, it doesn't look sticky, tacky, greasy, shiny...it looks soft, hydrated, babied up.Really digging this new product, I will update if my opinion changes for better or worse.

I want to give this a 4.5, but there's no such rating so I gave it a 5. When I first opened this, what surprised me was how watery the product looked. When I first poured some onto my hand, some of the liquid dropped to the floor. I almost thought I got scammed and was considering returning it. Like one such reviewer "classy" said, it looked like watered down milk. I don't have extensive knowledge with moisturizers, but this the first "watery" moisturizer I've encountered that's not a spray. Which is also why I agree with classy that this could have come in a spray bottle.However upon the first usage, I was surprised that it did have that feel of a moisturizer and it did enhance my skin. I didn't like the glow that it gave, but it goes down a bit after awhile. I tend it to use it during the night because as a man, I don't want that shiny skin look.Also a little goes a long way, so you don't have to use a lot. Which is why this product will last a very long time. It's a steal when you grab this on sale. The portion you get is generous, but it is "watery." Overall better than expected and worth the price.

It’s kind of weird it doesn’t come in spray form, but I just dump it on my face and neck and rub it in. Makes me feel hydrated, and has smoothed out a lot of little bumps on my face.I have extremely sensitive skin, to the point where fragrances make me break out. This makes my skin glowy, dewy, and hydrated. Zero irritation. If you have drier skin, you may need a moisturizer after.Been using it twice a day and my friend touched my face and immediately bought it because she couldn't believe how soft and even my skin was.4 stars because it’s great but not necessarily revolutionary

I love this toner so much I bought a full size after I used it up! It is really hydrating and my skin loves it. There is no scent. It is a little sticky but has a milky color and is absorbed by the skin easily.

I'm new to moisturizing toners and have been using this one twice a day for 2 weeks. I'm 65 and I apply it after washing my face and before any other serums or creams. It doesn't take a lot and leaves my face moisturized.

This toner and moisturizer is so luxurious feeling. I love, love, love the actual product. However, I feel that the container that it is in needs to be improved. When I try to se the product, often too much comes running out at once. That is very unfortunate for such a great product and its pricepoint.
One of the best moisturizers I have.
You need very little. I put it on twice a day and have seen a significant approvement in texture and no more dry spots. Also has helped reduce pores. Wasn't sure about it, but thought I would try it when I saw Jin from BTS endorsed it.
