5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use
I used these pens for writing and coloring on small rocks. They work well and have vibrant colors. Perfect.
5.0 out of 5 stars Finally some good paint pens!
I’ve ordered and received the 12 extra fine point pens and the 8 basic + 8 metallic brush pens.I’ve tried maybe 5 other brands, both fine/extra fine point and brush pens, including some dual tips. They all left me wanting much better. However, I’m not interested in paying lots of money on this stuff either. The colors are nice, though the brush pens required layering on Kraft card (I’ve not tried anything else yet). Not a problem for me as sometimes that’s the look I may go for. The brush pens all work well with consistent paint and flexible nibs. The extra fine point pens work well but watch out for splatters if you press too hard on a more textured paper, like a Kraft card. I’m a bit new to acrylic paint pens so this is my user error and not the pens themselves.Artistro solved my dilemma by making great paint pens that don’t bust my budget. They’re not super cheap but you get what you pay for on these things. I believe these are worth the extra little bit without paying even more for a more popular and expensive brand.I did have a problem with one of the extra fine point pens and contacted the company. Customer support responded quickly and to my satisfaction. I had contacted another company and still have yet to hear back from them so I was tickled with Artistro’s quick response and care.An extra note— not something I’ll take off a star for because I’m pleased overall and this is likely my own personal preference— the extra fine point pen colors are labeled on the pen caps. The brush pens, however, have no color identification. The package lists the color names so it’s okay but I might be slightly disappointed that colors are not labeled on the pens themselves. That’s a problem almost everywhere so I’m sure I’m dreaming but I’m legally blind and need help identifying many colors. All of that to say— I’ve not tried all their pens yet but I can safely and happily recommend Artistro paint pens.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great!
These paints were great for our kindness rocks. Vibrant colors. Thick and thin sides for detail and filling in. Very easy to use for young children. Dried fast. Only complaint was the white pen pretty dull and needed many coats to show up. Sealed when done so we could hide the kindness rocks we made outside. Easy clean up. Good value.
5.0 out of 5 stars Um YES buy this now!!
Great paint markers. I’ve been doing a lot of rock painting lately and this tip makes it real easy to work in the finer details. Ever since posco has been around and so easily available at most art stores I was left unimpressed by the medium but this is a game changer. The paint flows w easy colors are much more vibrant and thick. Posco is overpriced garbage if you ask me. These are fantastic.
5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely worth it
So smooth and great pigment. Good addition to art toolbox. I had an event at my college to draw in students to join the art club and they absolutely loved em and kept asking where’d I get them. Will buy again! Thanks Artistro!
5.0 out of 5 stars Clarification On Colors Between 42/30/12/15(special) Extra-Fine Tip Paint Pens
So first off: Great Pens! A lot of fun and easy to use! But I'm not here to sell you these pens, instead if you are interested in buying these extra-fine tip paint pens like I was, you may be wondering 'what set should I get?' Well, let me help!I will go over which extra-fine tip sets have which colors and their overlaps, as well as the odd choice Artistro has made in naming the same color twice for two different sets (maybe their hoping you'll buy the same product twice?).Firstly, if you want all the colors (not including the extra metallic colors from the metallic set, and the glitter colors from the glitter set) then all you will need is the 42 box set! It's generally priced around a little more than a dollar a pen, which is a pretty good deal. I have shared a picture of the colors listed on the box for your reference as well as a picture of all the pens lined up in the same order.Next, you may notice the third picture I've shared is also pen colors from the side of a box; it is the 30 box set. Strangely enough these would appear to be very different colors! Oh, but not so! Almost every single "additional" color here is just renamed (I happen to like the majority of these names better, by the way) without an actual new addition to be found. (Also I'm not sure if the print settings were off when the packaging was produced, but their color swatches are very different.) So below is a list of the 30 colors from the 30 box set and their corresponding twin from the 42 box set:30 box set 42 box set1. Chartreuse = Bud Green2. Spring Lemon = Yellow3. Sunburst Yellow = Orange Yellow4. Coral Orange = Orange5. Scarlet Red = Red6. Wine Red = Purple Red7. Pale Pink = Sakura Pink8. Pastel Violet = Light Purple9. Light Violet = Purple10. Violet = Dark Purple11. Indian Blue = Blue12. Sky Blue = Sky Blue13. Light Turquoise = Shallow Green14. Spruce Green = Dark Green15. Walnut = Brown16. Putty = Tan17. Light Cream = Cream Yellow18. Pale Yellow = Khaki19. Gold = Gold20. Cool Gray = Cold Grey21. Warm Grey = Dark Grey22. Silver = Silver23. White = White24. Black = Black25. Turquoise = Jewel Green26. Emerald Green = Green27. Vivid pink = Pink28. Baby Blue = Brilliant Blue29. Extra White = Extra White30. Extra Black = Extra BlackSo, if you are curious to know which other colors are actually in the 42 box set, but maybe don't want to do the work of searching and cross-checking the two pictures I provided, I will list them here:31. Fluorescent Yellow (yup, that's what it is)32. Emerald Green (it's brighter than the "Emerald" Green from the 30)33. Melanie (it's a greenish blue-green color despite being named weird)34. Sapphire (a little brighter than Sky Blue)35. Purple Stars (blue-violet)36. Pigeon Blue (a dark grey blue)37. Tawny (a mix of orange and tan)38. Camellia Red (a bright red, almost pink)39. Dream Purple (a little warmer and darker than Light Purple)40. Bright Pink (more natural in tone than Pink's neon look)41. Run Red (it's a light orange cream color)42. Pale Pinkish Grey (terrible name; it's very similar to Run Red, a little less bright)So, if you got the 30 box set and you decided you wanted the colors you are missing out on from the 42 box set, is there a way to get them without buying duplicates of all your 30 colors? Yes! Almost. Minus one: Fluorescent Yellow. The 15 box set called "Special Colors" here on Bolo, but labeled "Trending Colors" on its package actually has all your remaining colors needed sans that super bright yellow. You'll also get repeats of Chartreuse and Sunburst Yellow, as well as the ever-present White and Black. So not a bad buy if you just want to expand from your 30 box set.But maybe you're like, 'I just want some basic colors, why have you been wasting my time with all these fancy color names?' Well, you probably should just get the 12 box set then. It's very basic. It has Black, White, Gold, Silver, Pink, Dark Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red, and Brown. Have fun!
3.0 out of 5 stars Decent for price
Decent for the price. But refer to my photo (top right box) are these paint pens. They have often splatter and I find the tips are super fragile. They peel up. You also have to shake the pen very hard to get the ink to come out. Compare in my photo to a different generic brand, these are sub par. However for the price they are okay. I think the reviews are a bit misleading though.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect (not messy) gift
This made the perfect gift! Had so much fun painting rocks with kiddos. They worked great out the box and the colors were nice and bright. These are so much easier than paintbrush and paint. Even the one-year-old could hold them and use them. Highly recommend!
Great Quality
Loved these acrylic pens. The fine point is perfect for drawing. The colors are vibrant. The ink flows smoothly. So glad I bought them. I bought the glitter pens too by Artistro. And the 24 pen set! Great markers.
Perfectos para pintar piedras
100% recomendable.
