I ordered these speakers for audio work when I record videos. These are not quite the professional monitors that I was looking for, but man, they sound pretty good. First of all visually, they have this sleek modern look with all the flashing multi-colored lights that seem to be very popular nowadays. That is something I didn't really need but impresses the amateurs when they see my set-up. One thing I didn't notice in the pictures but I do know is that the speaker cones are just sitting out there on the surface and can be touched so be careful with that. They can collect dust as well so I use canned air on a low setting to blast the dust away. Audio-wise it is good enough for my work, as an amatuer AV guy who produces short videos for work and reviews. As for fine sound fidelity, I cannot tell to tell the truth. But if you are the kind of person who can tell the difference when listening to a digital recording how it is compressed, then these might not be the set for you. You probably have to spend twice as much. But if you are like me, generally an amateur with some listening andanalytical skills a little better than most in the general public, and you need something that is a little louder and a little better quality than your current set-up, these will work fine!

The exterior appearance is beautiful. Have all the functionality one would want and more. It even has fast changing for some reason.Only down side is its not loud for its size. It might be a quieter than the 1280 model. For a speaker at this price point, appearance aside, the volume output should be better.

This review is for the Edifier QR65 Desktop Active Monitor, delivered on time and in perfect condition from Bolo.First the obvious, they look amazing! they are both certified for Hi-res Audio wireless and wired. they are the perfect companion for music, gaming, everyday computing or maybe just to make all your friends jealous!These have no grill covers like most other, so little fingers shouldn't test the drivers for wonderfully fun softness, and they will have to be dusted often as dirt will accumulate on the fronts. these are my only gripes.They come with all the necessary cables to connect to your audio source of choice, I tested all ( USB, Line in, and Bluetooth ) and all worked flawlessly. They have several lighting functions all easily changed on the app which was easily downloaded and setup. The App allows changing the display mode, allows a customizable Equalizer and the ability to download additional light displays and even firmware upgrades (this needed no firmware updates out of the box).Not shown is the stands that come with the speakers as there was not enough room on my desktop.They are spendy, but the sound alone is worth the upgrade.. Highly recommend these for any gamer or audiophile that appreciates amazing sound and incredible lighting features..

The media could not be loaded. The Edifier QR65 Monitors are amazing. I really am so impressed with the build, the look, the app, and the sound! I work at home and listen to music throughout my workday. In the past I had some top tier computer speakers that I'd had for 10+ years and I thought were a good quality set. Sure, they were old, but I thought they sounded good and they were a large investment when I got them. The Edifier speakers are a whole new experience.First off, the packaging is top of the line. The box could probably fall off the truck going 55mph past my house and the speakers would be just fine. Once you take them out of the box you'll find that the quality continues through the build quality of the speakers themselves. The speakers are heavy, and solid and feel like a premium product. Even the slightly angled stands are impressive and have a slick "A Passion for Sound" quote on the front.The lighting effects are terrific and there are a ton of options. You can even add a couple of effects from the app over bluetooth. There is a dial on the side of the speaker that you can use to change the effects and adjust their brightness. There is also a knob for volume and a button to cycle through the three connection methods. I have verified that all three work well, but I prefer the USB connection to hook up my computer.The sound is amazing. The clarity is above anything I've heard from this type of speaker and (after a short break-in period) the speakers stay sharp no matter what the volume is set at. When they first arrived, the speakers seems to be a bit muffled at top volume, but that cleared up after about an hour of use and is in line with other quality speakers I've owned. After about a week of using these speakers I decided to add a small subwoofer to fill out the low end - WOW, that really completed the setup. I have it plugged into a 100 watt 8 inch sub and the whole setup sounds like a concert hall in my office.Superlatives aside, I really really like these speakers and how they've changed my whole office setup and how much I enjoy listening to music there.I did deduct a single star for the only two negatives I can find.1: The speakers are attached by a cable from the primary to the secondary speaker. That wire is specialized since it brings the settings for the LEDs to the other speaker. The issue I have is that the cord isn't that long at 60", so if you have a dual 32" monitor setup you will not be able to set these outside those two monitors side-by-side. Perhaps there's an option to order a longer cable, but I'm not aware.2: The speakers are not Auto-On/Off, AND the power switch is on the BACK of the speaker. I hate having to reach behind the speaker to turn them off when I shut down my laptop, and I keep forgetting to turn them back on when I boot up the computer the next day until I hear sound coming from the laptop speakers. You might choose to just leave them on, but the lighting effect doesn't turn off automatically when the connection to the computer isn't active so you'll have a light that stays on with most settings.Overall I would highly suggest these speakers if the quality of the sound is your top priority. I love the sub-output option, and the really attractive speaker design on my desk.

These Edifier QR65 Desktop Active Monitor with 2.75" long-throw aluminum diaphragm mid-low drivers, Hi-Res Audio, Brilliant Light Effects, GaN Fast Charger, and 70W Output Power Bluetooth Speaker are what I was looking for.I really like that they are bluetooth, as I was looking for a wireless option. You can control through the app, as well as change the lighting/graphic options as well. Speakers do come with speaker stand, but not really functuntional for my space. Overall, good speakers.
