5.0 out of 5 stars Works beautifully, great packaging, well-designed
Very pleased with this mouse. It's a good size (I purchased the large), and it's very comfortable to use. I like the grippy material on the sides. It's also silent, which I appreciate, especially if I'm up late working and my partner is asleep. The packaging has no plastic!! Hooray!!Also, it comes with a good Duracell battery already installed, and the optional bolt USB receiver stores neatly in the battery compartment so you can't lose it.It connected seamlessly and was out of the box and working in 2 minutes.Well done, Logitech!
5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous color, decent pricing, and silent!
I was shocked at how silent this mouse is. For any office workers or students who would prefer to be quiet while doing your work, this is perfect for you. It fits my hand great, has a nice smooth feel, and was extremely easy to connect. It even came with a battery! I definitely recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars Just needs one little tweak
Honestly this is a great mouse, and this is my second. The first was a graphite from a local store years ago and this second is a nice blue. The first one I bought was because I was using a smaller logitech mouse and my hands were getting cramps and chaffed. I researched to find the largest logitech mouse and found a local store that carried the 550L and went that day to get one and have been pleased ever since. Albeit with a slight modification. I use a piece of white PVC flashing from the local home improvement/DIY/hardware/big box store as shown in the pictures. This keeps the edges of my hand off the surface and prevents dragging, cramping and skin chaffing. It lets me rest my hand without needing a GI Joe kung-fu grip just to keep my hand raised off the surface. The mouse comes apart with two small phillips screws. Lay the top on the flashing, outline with a sharpie, then cut inside by 1/4 to 3/16 inches and trim little by little until it fits perfect on the bottom piece. The flashing is cheap so don't worry if you have to make several attempts. Use the curvature of the roll to your advantage so it "cups" your hand. The first mouse is still going strong. Use a can of compressed gas to keep garbage out of the sensor port on the bottom and occasionaly take apart to remove hair and other debris from the wheel. My plans are to adapt the internals of the graphite to the only mouse that ever actually fit my hand known as the "Jumbo" mouse. Only it is an older optical and corded USB. I want it Blutooth and either laser or modern optical like these. But while I'm working on that project, I got this blue one to use.I love the 550L because it works on lots of surfaces, wireless Bluetooth, largest of the "large" mice, economical, simple 3 button with scroll wheel, one single AA battery, and because it has solid (though not loud) clicks even on the scroll wheel.Because it is modern optical, it works on more surfaces than the older "optical" mice which used a red LED for a light source and an imager to compare frame to frame for movement and direction. Laser is better and works on more surfaces and especially the newer dark field mice from logitech but this 550L does a great job.Because it is Bluetooth I can use it without the Logibolt. I have a logitech keyboard that is Unifying or Bluetooth. If it wasn't for their Bluetooth compatibility I would have to use two USB dongles, the standard Logitech Unifying receiver AND the Logibolt.I have had rechargeable mice and I just prefer the efficient ones that use a single AA battery. If you are looking for more buttons and features but still want a "Large" mouse then go for the 650L, they are the same size as the 550L in physical dimensions.Using this mouse and logitech keyboard in Bluetooth mode has one disadvantage. On boot, my PC BIOS does not recognize them and always say "No Keyboard" even though Bluetooth is built into the mobo, which uses an intel wireless Bluetooth chipset on a recent ASUS mobo. So, if I need to access the AMI Bios, then I have to plug the dongles in or use a wired mouse and keyboard.Hope this helps.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Bluetooth mouse
I am a bit bias as I have used Logitech products for a very long time. I have used other brands of mice and keyboards but always return to Logitech products. What I like is the long battery life, ease of use and pairing, the feel of the mouse and the custom settings. It is a full-size mouse, but as I have large hands it feels natural to me.
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice wireless mouse
Mouse is good fit for small hands, the cursor is quite responsive, wheel responds quickly, and it can be used in either hand. The right/left buttons are a bit too sensitive at times. Wish it had a light on top to serve as a reminder to turn the mouse off when not in use to conserve battery life
5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, a PC Mouse I actually like using.
I've bought several mice for my PC over the years. Some lasted a long time. Other, just failed and some were irritating just to use. I didn't like the feel, grip or design. Also, the majority of the PC mice, I found, were small for my large hands.I love Logitech and honestly, I never had a problem with their stuff. So I finally decided to try this mouse, the Signature M550 L. The mouse feel is great, I don't have issues or side effects. You can use it two ways. Either Bluetooth or USB wireless receiver. The USB wireless receiver is better because when I use Bluetooth, it takes a while to connect when I boot up the computer and also if I have many USB drives connected, somehow my previous Bluetooth mouse, wouldn't work properly. I don't have any issues using the USB receiver. The mouse is very quiet. Clicking left, right and middle scroll wheel works great. Very responsive. No noise. You can customize the controls when you download their software. It came with a battery. No issues. It says it has a two-year battery life, but I doubt it as I play games and surf the internet all the time.In the end, I hope this mouse will be the one that'll last for years.
5.0 out of 5 stars Buttery Smooth
It’s buttery smooth, it’s sleek, and it functions as advertised. I’ve ordered a second one immediately. I highly recommend this device. Buy it without fear or hesitation. I use it with a MacBook Air 15 inch, and I will be using it with a 27 inch iMac. It’s a great product and a great price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very smooth mouse
This mouse feels very smooth while I'm using it on my desk. This mouse also makes clicking feel comforting. I never expected this from a bluetooth mouse that costs less than $30. Cheap devices a lot of the times feel uncomfortable, but somehow Logitech breaks this trend.Logitech seems to be using a different technology, as it uses an invisible laser and while I've been using it for my work laptop for the last seven months, the battery seems like it has a lot of life left in it. (It is a double A battery). It uses Bluetooth, but there there's also a USB adapter you can plug in, which is stored in the battery compartment.I can't believe how well thought out this mouse is. Hopefully Logitech can keep up the quality for their future products, as in this age there are so many mediocre similar products.
I missed these from Work
My previous workplace provided me with this mouse, and since I left the company I had to return the mouse. Ever since, I've been missing having this mouse and I am very glad to rejoice with this product. This product is nice and compact as described in the dimensions. It connects to my laptop via bluetooth VERY fast. It really works like a charm and I have a very average size hands and it fits perfectly into my hands. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone needing a new mouse for work, although for other purposes like gaming, I haven't tried anything with this mouse. It may be too small for that.
Smooth and comfortable.
The Logitec mouse makes pointing and clicking a breeze. It glides across the pad effortlessly and the buttons react silently when applied. Although the size is larger, I noticed no real difference. Recommended.
Good mouse but...
I don't need much in the way of features in a mouse. I bought a RH earlier this year, and now acquired this ambidextrous one for when I have a friend over. I just use the roller and L&R mouse clicks. I've never programmed or used the extra buttons on the RH model. Mice can never be big enough for my hands and these, though toted as for larger hands, are smaller in diameter than the old one that they replaced (I still have the old one for comparison). They just don't fill my hand comfortably. C'est la vie.
Perfect
I also have the similar model with the buttons where the thumb is. Never use them but always accidentally hit them and go back. This mouse is devoid of said irritants and IMO, perfect. It took me a bit to get used to the low pressure required to click this and the quiet operation, but now I love it
good mouse
same good quality as other Logi mouse. This is the fourth Logi mouse I have. No complaint
