I have owned this unit for over a week now, and I am pleased to report that it is a fantastic unit. My 2007 VW Jetta is an antique with a very basic sound system. As a result, I wanted to enable CarPlay on it. I was skeptical when I first came across this unit, but I decided to give it a try because it could potentially replace two systems with one. The other is the CAR DVR system.The unit comes with various car attachments, allowing you to attach it to the windshield with the suction cup mount or install it on the dashboard. I chose the dashboard for a specific reason. (Continue reading for more information.)The wireless pairing to the iPhone was a breeze. I wanted to see how easy it would be to connect CarPlay, so I didn't read the instructions. I was able to connect my iPhone 13 without having to refer to the user guide. Kudos to Apple and this company. The device must be rebooted once to enter Carplay mode, but after that, it will automatically connect when I enter the car, making it very simple to use. The touch display is responsive and simple to use with CarPlay. I was concerned that it might lag, but it operates similarly to any current smartphone, with no lag.The other function I wanted to replace was the CarDVR, which was an aging 1080P unit. This one has a resolution of 4K, and I was able to get very clear images. The dashboard mount is your best option for installation because of the camera's position. This will ensure that the mount does not obstruct your view.Overall, I am pleased with the outcome. I can use Hey Siri and Waze to navigate the road. Considering the individual cost of purchasing a CarPlay monitor and a 4K Car DVR, this is a fantastic value.

After using The Wireless Carplay Touchscreen for about almost 2 weeks now and I can definitely say that this has been one of the best upgrades I’ve had so far for my car. I have a 2012 vehicle that did not come with much of a touch screen as it was so being able to install this upgrade is almost like buying a new car. Everything within the Wireless Carplay screen is super user friendly with a very simple UI. It has many different options as well such as settings for the 4K Dashcam which is definitely also really cool that it comes with the Wireless carplay touchscreen. I have already connected the Dashcam to my phone and am able to watch a live feed of the Dashcam which has almost little to no lag on it. I’m also able to save any recordings straight to my phone which is definitely a quality of life upgrade for me with all the crazy drivers on the road!The screen itself is not very huge so it doesn’t block any of my view while driving. Installation was quick and easy and almost looks OEM. In addition to its impressive display and dash cam, I was surprised to see that the device came with a 1080p backup camera. Installation for the backup camera was also just a quick trip to my local auto shop and only cost me $40 to get it installed. Bluetooth connectivity was also instant and there is little to no input lag when switching between songs. I was afraid it was gonna be difficult and a headache to try and connect to like other devices I have tried. Overall, this apple carplay system is such a quality of life upgrade for anyone thinking about getting a carplay screen installed or possibly upgrading their vehicle just for carplay.

So glad I bought this! I have an 2008 Lexus car that doesn't have the apps and now that I put this on there it amazes me!! Super easy to use and fun. It's totally worth it. The screen is bright and efficient size. Phone connects easily to it every time I get it. Most probably buy another one for my 2nd car

Much frustration came with the installation in a 2011 VW Tiguan with older Bluetooth technology back then. Inconsistent connections constantly plagging me to get it to work correctly. So I went after the auxiliary in to communicate to it only to find out I had motorboating sound in the background which is not acceptable.Not wanting to give up I purchased a third party Bluetooth that runs on USB. After that got installed it works flawlessly.I wouldn't recommend this for older cars as their Bluetooth firmware struggles with Android auto. I don't know the cutoff date for older cars but I wouldn't use this with a car older than a 2014.Some people may not have any problem with it but was not the case for me. It took a third party Bluetooth receiver to finally get it to work properly.The company did reach out to me however they seem to have misinterpreted what I said and was of little help. But I'll give it four stars anyway as it works well and does exactly what I wanted to do including connects to my serious satellite account and I can play it through the Android auto which is pretty cool.

Convenient with all needed features
Quite convenient with money features as driver can feel the realness of built in car stereo.Very easy to use, just need to connect mobile device through Bluetooth and run the GPS through much bigger screen.It can work as a 4K dash cam, GPS, call recievwr and even music player, it's touch screen has been very well callibrated and working perfectly, it can support wide range of apps.However I didn't use it's backup camera but I can count it as a plus point of this Carplay screen.Over all it enhances my driving experience by offering navigation control audio receivers and so on, it's definitely worth to consider to use it, for the price which I paid for is worth much better.Cons:However it has two type stand to attache it wherever fit in the car, but it's stands are attaching securely due to less glue to it's bottom site of its stands but I used an extra glue to keep it more secure.
Great way to get CarPlay/Android Auto. Easy install!
• Reason for Purchase: I had completely removed the infotainment system in one of our vehicles to install a larger screen with CarPlay/Android Auto. While it functioned well in many regards (larger screen, colour screen, CarPlay/Android Auto capabilities, Android tablet functionality, compatibility with factory 360 birds-eye view cameras, etc.) it had issues including a horrible amplifier that made songs above a certain volume crackle, echos with the microphone, mediocre GPS, pixelated 360 birds-eye view camera because of image stretch to fit the larger screen, and hanging up/declining a phone call despite setting up the CANBUS system to program the pick up phone button to pick up calls. As such, I ripped this system out (and had a sunk cost of $400 in the process) to reinstall the factory-default infotainment system. In the meantime, I was looking for a better screen option to keep the benefits of CarPlay/Android Auto functionality when I came across this screen.There are many different options available for additional/portable screens to create a dual-screen view for a vehicle ranging from various brands, size (6-10+ inches), shape (long rectangular, short rectangular, square, etc.), resolution, mounting options, etc.. I wanted something of about 8-10 inches for easy viewing, short rectangular, 4K quality, and dash mounting.• Materials/Build Quality: (A) 3M-branded mounting tape. (B) Strong dashboard mount (have not tried the suction mount as I do not care for it/do not want my display to fall down secondarily to the hot sun beating down on the windshield causing the silicone mount to fall off the windshield or dashboard. (C) Strong screen display quality, i.e., not flimsy or soft when interacting with it.• Features: (A) 64GB SD card included (seems to work well so far but unsure of long-term reliability). (B) CarPlay and Android Auto capability with WiFi or Bluetooth and quick connectivity to Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 and S24 Ultra (do not have an iPhone to try CarPlay). (C) Dash cam with a 360 rotating head (although I do wish it could also slide up the bottom part of the captured image is 1/4th of my car front hood). (D) Dash and windshield mount (I use the dash mount with the very sticky 3M tape x2 that is included). (E) Rear view camera (which I cannot comment on as I have not installed it - my car already has a rear-view camera). Aucune instruction pour l'installation, juste pour la configuration. En cherchant sur internet, on découvre qu'il faut ouvrir les parois intérieures de l'auto pour connecter la caméra aux feux de recul, puis à l'écran. Tout ce qu'il y a de Bluetooth, c'est la connexion au cellulaire. Malheureusement, la personne à qui je l'ai offert en cadeau a cherché trop longtemps à comprendre comment faire. Maintenant trop tard pour retourner le produit. Mettre 180$ à la poubelle ou payer un autre 100$ pour faire installer par un garagiste?!!!Suivi: la compagnie écrit pour soit disant offrir un remboursement (il faut juste écrire "full refund" en réponse au message), mais quand on le fait, elle demande plutôt qu'on lui écrive une courriel en dehors d'Bolo pour trouver une entente.
Excellent upgrade to older model vehicles
After installing this Smart Screen, it has greatly enhanced our planned drives. It auto connects to my phone and recalls many of our recent address searches. Having so many phone apps available on the large screen format is also a great feature.The installation was fairly simple, in my specific vehicle that does not have Bluetooth capabilities, the only option is to use the AUX cable connection. While this is the least optimal sound connection in the car, it is still a great upgrade. I do find that the AUX volume setting needs to be much louder than the other radio controls, but it is not too overbearing, nor should the product be given any negativity based on the age and capabilities of the vehicle. For fun, we also tried this in our other vehicle that does have Bluetooth capabilities but does not have a smart screen, and the sound/volume is greatly improved.As for the functions (again primarily using the older vehicle), I need the AUX volume louder than normal, but the recipients of calls say that everything is very clear sounding on their end.Overall this is an excellent addition/upgrade to my older vehicle, an excellent produce for what I have used it for so far, and an excellent value for the produce as it can be easily removed and placed in other "non-smart" vehicles with minimal effort.
