The net is nice quality and easy ro use. The set up took little to no time at all. Great for practice.
4.0 out of 5 stars Should Work Well
The netting looks strong and tight enough to use for golf practice. I look forward to using it and can update my review after use.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for our multi sport family!
My kids all played baseball and softball this past season and this was a lifesaver as far as keeping track of balls when practicing hits! It is a little funky to set up and put away so we ended up keeping it up for extended periods of time. I wish there was a quicker way but we haven't found one. The netting has held up well and seems to be decent quality. No holes yet! Love the size. Works great for golf too and practicing soccer kicks!
5.0 out of 5 stars Practice net for golf
My husband enjoys playing golf and I ordered this for him to practice his swings on at home when the weather or time doesn’t allow him to hit the course. He set this up in our basement and said the assembly wasn’t bad at all. The netting is strong and tightly knit and of good quality and size. He loves it!
4.0 out of 5 stars Net is pretty decent
The net is pretty decent. I am using it as a sliding side net for my garage setup. I have a different net that is a bit higher quality for the other side, but this one isn't too far behind. Decent thickness and dont think the ball will fly through this at all. Good price and nice width.
5.0 out of 5 stars Durable golf net
The Yardnet Golf Net has transformed my backyard into a haven for golf practice and other sports activities. Available in various sizes, I opted for the 15 x 20 ft model, which fits perfectly in between two trees i have. This net is heavy-duty in construction. Made from durable materials, it can withstand golf ball hits without tearing or showing signs of wear. This gives me peace of mind knowing that I can practice my swing with full force without worrying about damaging the net.Setting up the net was a breeze, thanks to the straightforward instructions and included hardware. It took me less than half an hour to have it fully assembled and ready for use.Not limited to just golf, this net is versatile enough for other sports like baseball, soccer, and hockey practice. I don't use it for this but its nice to know i have the option.Overall, the Yardnet Golf Net is a fantastic investment for anyone looking to improve their game or enjoy outdoor sports practice at home. Its durability, ease of setup, and versatility make it a must-have addition to any backyard.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality net
Great quality and easy to setup. Worth the money works very well and takes abuse!
3.0 out of 5 stars Just a big net
The picture for this item is misleading: it shows a free standing net in a frame. What's included is the just the net with some elastic ties, some extra cord, and some ground stakes. You're on your own to find a way to make it functional. The net itself is nice and seems well constructed. I bought some clothesline to string between a couple of trees and it works well enough to stop lacrosse and golf balls.
High quality and very sturdy.
This is a very high quality net that is very sturdy and will not tear easily. I have another net and it's not made as well.I believe since it's made more stronger than others so it can be use for other sports and not just golf. I am thinking of soccer and basketball so that my ball does not go into my plants or into the street. The only thing here is that there are no self contained poles. It's just a net. Do thinking of hanging this on some fencing or trees.I may see if I can use it with my other golf net to enhance its strength as the other net tends to tear if used with hard golf balls.Nice net overall and applicable with many uses. Just need poles or some sort of structure to hang it up.
Great Quality, You'll Need Your Own Structure
The netting is strong and very good quality. It comes with some basic hardware like tent pegs, bungies and 4 carabiners. But it's important to understand that it does not come with any posts, poles or structure to attach or hang the netting on. This is meant for you to hang or attach wherever you want. I chose to attach it to the short side of my 12' X 10' wooden gazebo.A few things I noticed.1: Allow some slack with the netting.. do NOT make it tight, especially if you're hitting golf balls. The netting is strong so having the netting tight makes it behave like a trampoline and you'll be dodging balls that come right back at you. Giving the netting slack allows the netting to absorb the balls with minimal or no risk. As long as the top and bottom are secure, you'll be fine.2: If you're like me and not looking to have the netting permanently set up it's very easy to set up and take down. It takes me about 2 minutes to put up and less to take down and pack. I screwed some small hooks (not included) into a high crossbeam and use the carabiners to attach the top of the netting, then I use the tent pegs in the lawn for the bottom. The bungies provided might be necessary to secure the sides once I start using my woods and driver, but so far I haven't needed to do that.3: The absence of poles or structure is a PRO, not a CON. Honestly, if this had come with some sort of plastic structure I likely would've thrown them away and used the netting the same way I did. Anyone with even a very basic level of craftsmanship will be able to figure out how and where to use this netting best for them.4: You will DEFINITELY need more hardware. Whether it's posts and poles or screws and hooks... plan on needing something not included to finish the job. The package comes with quite a lot though so in my case I had plenty of hardware in my modest tool kits to finish.5: The only con I have is that the hardware provided is not the best quality compared to the netting, which is strong and high quality. It's like the cheap screws you get when you buy shelving or a desk you have to assemble... probably best to swap out and use better ones.Again, I am using this netting to practice low iron shots in my yard. I don't know how well it will hold up to hockey pucks, baseballs or even my driver. But so far it's held up great for what I wanted it for and it's super compact and easy to set up and store. 4 stars because of low quality hardware and zero instructions. Would recommend.
standard wide net with various install methods
Refer to the listing images to see what components come with the product. We installed the net between two trees using rope and the stretchy bands. Wrapping around the bark of a tree ended up damaging the rope quite a lot and so excessive movement will easily wear down the rope, however that shouldn't be too problematic. The net is higher than we can reach and so we have lots of excess at the bottom which we pulled out in order for the ball to roll toward us after each hit. So far we've thrown baseballs, footballs, golf balls, tennis balls, and a chair at it and it has not been damaged.Maybe I misinterpreted but the listing says that the net can serve as an "Anti-fall net" which I have yet to try because... I do no trust that it can support my weight. Nevertheless, this has been outside for a few weeks now and experienced rain, thunder, cold, and raccoons, yet still does not exhibit and sign of notable wear and tear. Good.
Strong net but supports are not included; works great if you set it up right
This is a large and strong net that can be used for a wide variety of functions. The listing photos give the impression that a frame is included and for the price I would expect a metal frame but it doesn’t come with one if you read the descriptions.I was aware of that on ordering but not everyone is so just make sure this is what you are looking for.We ended up stringing this up and adding camouflage to it for our outdoor nerf battles but it also stops any balls the kids are practicing with for sports so they don’t have to go wading into the thick bush to find them, especially during tick season. It stops about 90% of the nerf darts and makes it so much easier to collect and clean them after. The set includes some basic hardware for installation but if you want to install this right you will need additional hardware.Overall a well constructed net that can be used in a variety of ways. 👍🏻
was questioning the strength but not to worry
When I first ordered this, I wondered if it would be strong enough to withhold a slapshot, a golf drive, or a hard baseball hit. I've tried each one now and no longer fear projectile escape! This mesh has a lot of give, which I think is the secret to its strength. It can be cut quite easily, but the weave/stitching that creates the mesh pattern has very good elasticity which makes it able to absorb the energy -especially of the gold shots, which I think are the hardest on it due to the point force of the golf ball. The pics are a bit deceiving though as it sort of shows a "stand" or frame. You need to supply your own support! so be aware that this alone won't get you up and running. a Clothes line, or a makeshift 2x4 frame or two posts driven into the ground will be needed to "mount" the net with sufficient rigidity to resist the energy thrown into the netting from your projectile (golf ball, baseball, puck, or whatever).
