Nice shoe! Wide toe! Cushion tongue! Flat but comfortable! Shoes with a lot of arch support kill my feet. Other shoe also tight on top and push my foot forward! So these are keepers! Oh light weight too

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome sneakers

This is my third pair of barefoot sneakers in the past 4 months. I've purchased the black and beige Whitin minimalist sneakers and while I like them too, these are my favorite. I like having a the thin padded insole. This summer I walked over two miles each day through our campground. The small stones that pave the roads have slowed me down because there is no padding in the minimalist sneaker. They are great for sidewalks or flat surfaces. The insole in these sneakers eliminates the problems with the stones. They are easy to wear all day. My toes love the wide toe box with lots of room to move. This is probably the biggest selling point in buying the three pairs of shoes. I never want to go back to my Assics or Saucony sneakers again! A lot of people complain about the lack of arch support but these sneakers are designed to have minimal arch support. After two surgeries on both feet for my Achilles tendon and wearing these sneakers my feet and body have never felt better! I'm a teacher and I'm on my feet a lot during the day. The pain I felt before wearing the Whitin sneakers was so intense and annoying at the end of the day. I'm only sad I didn't know about them years ago!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value

These shoes were very inexpensive. They have a wide toe box that lets your toes move around and they are zero drop which means that they are not higher in the back than they are in the front... they are essentially flat. This is said to be better for your foot because you don't strike the ground with your heel as much. There is no arch support in these, but again, that is part of the "barefoot" concept. This type of shoe lets your foot do the work, which makes them stronger and more flexible. This should lead to less pain and injury. However if you are not used to this type of shoe and have weak feet, you can injure yourself. I have had plantar fasciitis and did not want to ever go through that again, so I have been doing exercises to strengthen my foot and raise the arch. I decided I was ready to try this style shoe, but didn't want to spend $150 in case it turned out that this was not for me. These were a good place to start. They are lightweight, comfortable and doing their job in my cardio workouts. The materials they are made of seem a little cheap (hence the four stars), but for the price they work.

Loved the color (wine) and they were true to size. Comfortable on my feet as I have bunions and hammer toes. Very nice shoe for the money if they hold up. Took a long time to ship to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Soooooo comfy!

S. · August 15, 2024

The shoes are really really comfy, I'm almost ready to take the soles out. The colour is beautiful! And as all barefoot shoes are, they are wide at the toes, which is why we buy them, but that part is kinda ugly. At least they are comfortable and the colour is fantastic! :)

3.0 out of 5 stars Lacing leaves a lot to be disired.

These are decent shoes. I like the bigger toe box, color, and thicker sole. I use them for walking around the neighborhood. The lace provided are too long which I can replace. The way they are laced is an issue for me as they aren't easy to tighten. There a re loops you put the laces through not holes. So if you pull to hard when tightening, the loops will snap.Redesign this shoe with holes not loops and it'd be better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super comfortable shoes

I am on my feet quite a bit of the day and was unable to find a shoe that was comfortable all day long. I love the flexibility of these shoes and the good grip that they give me and also they are very lightweight. I was able to buy a smaller size than I usually wear because of the wide toe width. Highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars CHECK SIZING BEFORE PLACING ORDER!

I wear a 9 to 9.5 Wide in Women's shoes, so that's what I ordered: 9.5 Wide. Nowhere in the description does it say what the European size is, which would have been helpful since I already know I wear a 40 EU in a different Whitin model. UPDATE: There is now a sizing chart in the middle of the product page, which gives foot lengths in inches/centimeters as well as size conversions for a better fit. When these arrived, I found they were a size 41, which is too big for me. This was a huge setback for me, since I've been desperately seeking shoes that will help my tarsal tunnel syndrome heal.Other than the length, these shoes were comfortable and offered more cushioning than the minimalist Whitins I already own (which I can no longer wear because of the tarsal tunnel syndrome, *not* caused by the Whitins). I love the wide toe box -- which was plenty roomy for my 2E-width female feet -- and they're attractive as well, which is hard to find in these types of shoes. I absolutely love Whitin shoes and am looking forward to the correct-sized ones to arrive.NOTE ON CUSHIONING: These are *not* the equivalent of the Men's Wide Toe Box Road Running Shoe that looks the same. I ordered both, and the Men's version has a much more cushiony sole. The sole on these is harder, has less spring, and makes a bit of "slap" noise when walking. The Men's version is quieter, more rubber-like on hardwood floors. Also, the Men's version is visibly wider and actually fits my 2E width foot better. (For reference, the ball of my foot measures 4" across -- the widest Women's version of this shoe is less than that in size 11.)Please note that there is not a lot of arch "support" in these shoes, but the insole is removable so you can put any insole or orthotic in that you wish. I'm so glad Whitin is NOT trying to be an orthopedist like so many shoe manufacturers! We all have different feet and different support needs, so having the option to switch out the insole is a huge plus.

Son cómodos

Toe area too small

J. · September 18, 2024

very low cut, my toes cannot go in at all eventhough it is the right size. Only suitable for skinny feet

Alright so far

I'll update review accordingly, but at first I thought I had got the wrong size, and almost ordered another pair while starting a return for these. Then I remember the company saying to remove the insole if the fit doesn't feel right. Because it fit in length, but the width and height felt wrong. Had nothing to lose, removed the insoles. What a DIFFERENCE! My toes no longer feel like they're being crushed, my feet don't feel like they're being strangled. I am coming to these shoes from VFF toe shoes, so I know I had to bring down my expectations for roominess a bit. Having said that, much better than a regular shoeI'll have to walk some more without the insoles, to see if it's still on comfortable as my literal barefoot shoes. Which took away my feet, knee, and hip pain. Hopefully these do the same while giving some protection from the rain and any stray needles.

Very comfortable forca senior

Mom needed a wider toe box runner. She wears these all the time. Good value for the price.

My kid loves them

A.C. · August 28, 2024

Ordered wrong size again, the chart is kinda wonky. However this time the shoes fit another kid in my house and no need to return. The kid that fit the shoes says they are the most comfortable!
