5.0 out of 5 stars The Silkland "Magic" HDMI Cable!

    T.C.B. · August 9, 2024

I recently built a new home theater using 8 Klipsch speakers, a Denon AV receiver, and a Samsung 85 inch QLED TV. Everything looks and sounds amazing. However, the eARC channel between the TV and the AV receiver would not work correctly. I initially tried 3 different brand new HDMI cables from various manufacturers. All 3 of the cables "claim" to be certified HDMI 2.1 with ethernet, and will run 8k video and eARC. However, in reality none of the 3 HDMI cables would work correctly. Either the TV could not detect the AV receiver, or when it did the sound would cut out intermittently on the left and right channels when a connection was actually made. Also, the highest video resolution I could get was 1080p @ 120hz. I tried doing all of the TV/receiver resets, power down, and unplug and remove the HDMI cable tricks, and nothing would fix the HDMI eARC connection issues. All I could get was 1080p @ 120hz resolution and sound through the AV receiver only, unless I used the internal TV speakers when watching OTA antenna signals. That's not very good sounding, if you know what I mean.I initially thought, so much for having eARC and high resolution capabilities, and I resorted to using a digital optical sound cable between the TV and AV receiver for about 2 weeks. This worked fine for OTA TV sound, but I still had no eARC or HDMI control between the AV receiver and the connected peripheral devices. After 2 weeks of this "minor inconvenience," I figured what the heck, let's try one more HDMI cable brand. That's when I purchased this 6.6 foot Silkland HDMI cable. As soon as Bolo delivered this Silkland HDMI cable, I unpacked it and plugged it in between the TV and AV receiver. Wow, what an immediate difference. As soon as I turned eARC and HDMI control back on in the AV receiver, the TV and receiver communicated, and the eARC connection was completed. I now have perfect eARC functionality, 4k @ 120hz video, and total HDMI control of all of the peripheral devices. This Silkland HDMI cable works so well that I purchased 2 more Silkland HDMI cables to use to connect the Roku Ultra and Sony Blu-Ray player with. The turntable is connected to the AV receiver via RCA cables, so no HDMI cable is necessary for that connection.Needless to say, I am very impressed with these Silkland HDMI cables. They actually function as advertised, and do it very well. Honestly, I have not tried viewing anything with 8k resolution yet, so I cannot attest to those claims. However, these Silkland HDMI cables work perfectly for my specific A/V requirements. Just be aware that these are thickly shielded, well made HDMI cables, which makes them a bit stiff if any tight turns need to be made.

Cable works well and functions as described. I’m using it for PS5 and PC and am getting 4K resolutions and appropriate frame rate with no audio or visual issues. Everything looks good and the cable is sturdy. Well worth the price if you need a short HDMI cable.

I purchased another brand HDMI cable and it worked one day after setting up my tv. Second time it would not register the connection between my cable box and tv and would say device not found. Called Bolo who were great and they shipped an HDMI cable to replace the defective one. While waiting for the cable to come in I ordered this HDMI cable and it was delivered the very next day. Connected it up to my cable box and tv and it came out perfect. Received the other substitute cable and it didn’t work either. Staying with this one. More heavy duty than the one I originally bought and simple connection to my tv made this cable well worth it.

Really isn’t much to say, cables seem good quality and perform to their listed specs and most importantly don’t cost $50 like at Best Buy or other store, really great value.

I needed a couple HDMI 2.1 cables to support a new TV. The Silkland cables showed promise, so I gave them a try. Initially, I was impressive with the visual quality and flexibility of them. So, far, they haven’t disappointed. No issues whatsoever. Recommended.

Because of some vision problems, I wanted to be able to connect my laptop to my TV to use it as a larger monitor. I searched for what seemed like the best value and quality. I found it with this cable. It's heavy duty and the connection between my laptop and my TV jsut felt solid, as if they were made for one another! My home screen and programs were all vibrant, with no discernible lag time. I'm happy with my purchase and I think you will be as well.

Great quality cable, used it to join an Xbox to a projector and there was no loss of quality and no notice in delay over the 15m cable.

    Endlich funktioniert eARC !!!

Great Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1b Cable

    B. · October 1, 2024

I bought this cable to use with a new Google TV Streamer 4K. It's a great ultra high speed cable for the price. It appears well made with quality connectors. The braiding is quite stiff. I inspected the HDMI certification hologram on the logo affixed to the packaging under a microscope and it appears legit. The QR code is evaluated correctly by the official HDMI Cable Certification app.

Great Cable for a Great Price
