This is a fun, basic craft set. We brought to the beach so my kids could find additional shells and decorate with the paint. At one point the paint got stuck in a tube and then sprayed out, so be careful of that. I think it’s a good value for the money overall

I recently purchased the Klever Kits 12 Kids Sea Shell Painting Kit for my 5-year-old and 10-year-old, and it has been an absolute hit in our household! Both of my kids enjoyed this craft with so much passion that I felt compelled to share our experience.The kit comes with 12 beautiful sea shells and an assortment of vibrant paints, including some that glow in the dark, which was an exciting feature for my kids. As soon as we opened the box, they were eager to dive in and start painting. The variety of shells provided a great canvas for their creativity, and the paints were easy to apply and dried nicely without smudging.My 5-year-old loved experimenting with the different colors, and even though some of her designs were a bit more abstract, the glow-in-the-dark feature made her creations come alive at night. It was pure joy to watch her excitement when she saw her shells glowing in her room before bed.On the other hand, my 10-year-old took a more detailed approach, carefully painting each shell with intricate patterns. She enjoyed the challenge of mixing colors to create unique shades and was particularly thrilled with the quality of the paints, as they didn’t require multiple coats to achieve a vibrant finish. The glow-in-the-dark aspect added an extra layer of fun for her as well, making her feel like a real artist.What I really appreciated about this kit is how it kept both of them engaged for a good amount of time. It’s not easy finding an activity that appeals to both a kindergartener and a pre-teen, but this craft kit did just that. It was a perfect way for them to bond and express their creativity together.Clean-up was also a breeze, which is always a plus in my book. The paints washed off easily with a little soap and water, and the shells were sturdy enough to withstand all the handling.Overall, the Klever Kits Sea Shell Painting Kit exceeded our expectations. It’s a wonderful craft set that provided hours of fun and creativity for both my kids. They’ve proudly displayed their painted shells around the house, and I love seeing how proud they are of their work. This was genuinely fun. I LOVE activity sets that have EVERYTHING you need all in one - and this nailed it. In fact, there is such an abundance of creative options that we had a few things left over, which is cool 'cause we can always use more craft stuff.I used this set with my two kids, ages 3 and 11, and my Husband. There was plenty of stuff for all of us to make our creations- this means my kids didn't fight over stuff which makes this set PRICELESS haha The three year old was obsessed with the air-dry clay, which has the texture of silly putty and was easy for her little fingers to mold and shape. I used red and blue clay to make a different shade of purple and the kids got a kick out of mixing colors to make new ones of their own.The shells are plastic, but that keeps them uniform and easy to work with. Again, there's so many supplies you can always add real shells to the mix if you wanted. The ones they give you are a solid quality though, the paint goes on smooth and the clay doesn't slide off the plastic shells.Overall, this was great, we had fun and were able to sit at the table and craft together happily without getting hung up on needed to supply more parts to complete the project. A+ craft box! Thank you!
