5.0 out of 5 stars Great receiver for music
I have mine connect to 3 12 inch subs and it powers them flawlessly and sounds amazing
1.0 out of 5 stars Does not work X2
I have ordered two of these. Neither has worked for the "DVD" inputs. Radio sound is good. BT sound is good. But, not input sound.ODDLY... There are two "INPUT" RCA plug pairs on the back, but no way to choose which one... Just BT, Radio, AUX. And it says "Karaoke Amplifier" on the face, not "Sound System". I think somebody got confused and mixed up some parts, but that is just a guess.
4.0 out of 5 stars My dad likes it with his system
I bought thus as a father's day gift for my dad and he seems to like it. Once he finally came around to set it all up, he blasted music and he liked how powerful it was. The power cord isn't detachable and it's only like 2 feet long, but other than that, it does its job well.
4.0 out of 5 stars Sounds good, looks great.
I hooked this up to a couple bookshelf speaker and use the setup as "budget studio monitors".The sound and volume control is great. Smooth increase and decrease in volume without any pops or skips. The sound is good. These speakers aren't the best, so it might not be up to par with professional studio monitors. For a karaoke amp, it is great. There are two 1/4" jacks for microphone inputs. The system has one mic volume knob, so you can't vary the levels between the mics. The only effect that it adds is "echo", which I think is reverb. I do not think that adds "echo" to the music that is running through it, just the mics.As for as EQ goes, you get a Bass knob and Treble knob. Both work well, but if your looking for mid tones, without making the tones too muddy or tinny, um, well... um...The inputs work great and the setup is easy. Everything is marked on the back, so you know what to plug in where. Simple. The FM tuner works, but you don't tune to the station you want. Set it to FM, push the >|| button and the machine scans the airwaves for FM signals and assigns presets to ALL of them. The |<< and >>| buttons cycle through them. If you live in a thriving metropolis with a station on every frequency on the dial... yeah, you get to sample them all while navigating to your favorite. As a little amp for a studio or rec room it works great. If you're an audiophile and are looking for a nice receiver, move along.
5.0 out of 5 stars Family Room Rock Time
The media could not be loaded. For under a hundred bucks, this amp does a ton of stuff! Cranks the large bookshelf speakers and plays every kind of input you can come up with except for a dedicated phono input for record players. I tried all the inputs, and they all worked great. SD Card, USB, Aux (RCA), Bluetooth all worked great. The Bluetooth didn't sound quite as good as the other inputs when I was streaming from a Cloud service like Spotify, but if the songs were actually on my phone, then the Bluetooth sounded great. The audio is clean and powerful. It also has plenty of bass, and I had to dial back the bass a little, even though I like a lot of bass. I also used the two microphone inputs and tested four different mics. Three of the four mics worked flawlessly and were "hot," meaning not much mic volume was needed. One cheaper wireless mic I have was too hot to use, feeding back loudly. But the higher quality mics all worked great, including a wireless headset/lavalier mic. I also loved the built in EQ feature that allowed me to choose from Pop, Rock, Jazz etc. settings. I chose the Rock setting with the juicier bass. I don't think this is made for Professional use, but for home use it totally rocks. As a DJ, I would totally use this for a little ceremony amp if it had different speaker outputs. It is wired for small speaker wire to plug into the back, not Speakon or XLR or Quarter Inch. That's ok. It's not made for that type of use, but in a pinch, you totally could use it, especially with two mic inputs for bride and groom.
just what i was looking for
great

Compact but Powerful Amp
This audio amplifier / receiver is able to push out 100 watts of output. It is able to produce clear and powerful audio. There are many features included with this device such as Bluetooth 5.1 support. Using the Bluetooth you can stream from your smartphone, tablet or computer. You also have two microphone input ports and the ability to use a USB flash drive. You could use the microphone ports to have a karaoke night. The microphone volume is adjustable with a convenient dedicated knob on the front. You can also adjust the echo, bass and treble levels with the associated knob as well as the master volume. You can choose between USB or SD cards for playing digital music. There is also the ability to play FM radio with this unit. You can connect an FM antenna to achieve better signal strength. There is support for 5.1 channels (which includes the subwoofer output) allowing you to use this to power a surround sound system. You have a small remote control that you can use to turn the unit on and off as well as change the volume and make other adjustments. This device is fairly light and small for its capabilities. You can use it to power a 5.1 home theatre system or for amplifying a pair of bookshelf speakers. It offers flexibility in terms of the audio sources available and is easy to set up and operate.
Not exactly a 5.1 home theater system
The media could not be loaded. I'm not an audiophile, but I do appreciate good sound when I hear it. Unfortunately this amp doesn't live up to my expectations. I'll get straight to the point: I think this little power amp tries to do too much. Is it a Karaoke mixer? A stereo amplifier? A home theatre receiver? For $150 Cdn this unit has a lot of great features (on paper), but doesn't do a great job at any one thing. Well, it might be good at the Karaoke ... it's the one thing I didn't try.The unit came well packaged for shipping, and includes a remote control and very brief instruction manual. The remote is fairly limited to FM/MP3 duties (play/pause/Next/Prev, etc.) but unable to handle volume/base/trouble/input selectors as those are all analog controls. One thing missing was an FM antennae. Not sure if that was intended or just accidentally missed in my package. I also found the power cord was a little short at around 30" compared to other audio/video components, but if you don't need a long cord then the less clutter is nice. When I powered on the unit I noticed a slight hiss on both the AUX and Bluetooth inputs even when the volume is turned all the way down. It seems to disappear as your increased the volume to the mid-range, and then the hiss returns at higher volumes. In BT mode I could sill hear some hiss over the music during quitter passages. In terms of raw power this amp has it. I tried it with both my near-field book shelves as well as my full-range towers and I didn't dare turn the volume past half-way. Unfortunately at those volume levels there is some distortion. As you get past about 80dB (approx. 30% on the volume) you can start hear the distortion, especially in the bass frequencies. I confirmed the distortion is caused by the amp by swapping out with my home theatre receiver (Denon AVR-X6700H) using the same song/source/speakers and with my Denon I went up to 98dB with no distortion. And although up until that point the music sound okay, it was just okay. It didn't have the dynamics or detail that my 140wpc Denon has, but it does get the job done.I was curious about the "5.1 Home Theater" marketing claims and did some exploratory testing. This unit is not a true surround sound receiver. There are no 5.1 inputs (i.e. HDMI or Toslink). It simply up-mixes to 5.1. There is no LFE out on this unit for the subwoofer because without HDMI or Toslink you can't play source materials with Low-Frequency Effects; it simply uses speaker line-out with a built-in cross-over probably between 120 and 250 Hz. I was able to test it with one of my subwoofers and it works fine. I tested with one of my full-range speakers and you can clearly hear that it only outputting sub-bass frequencies. Moving on to the Center channel and left/right surrounds, again there is no source content to drive these, so there is some "magic" happening inside the box. I connected some speakers and you can tell that the center boosts the mid-frequencies around the human voice; and the surrounds seem to mirror the front L/R but add a little echo & delay to give the impression of a surround bubble. At the end of the day, it's up-mixed 5.1 music, but not a home theatre surround sound system for home theatre.Pros: + Karaoke feature+ Compact design+ Lots of power+ Remote control (limited functionality)+ Subwoofer Out+ Multiple source inputs (Bluetooth/USB/SD/FM/RCA) + Bluetooth is responsiveCons:- Instruction manual is practically non-existent.- Remote control doesn’t control input selection, volume, bass/treble, etc.- AC Power cord is short at 30”- No FM antennae included.- Not all speaker connectors using 5-way binding posts- Not a true 5.1 home theatre system. No digital 5.1 sources: no HDMI, no optical/Toslink, no Coax- Distortion introduced at medium volumesI honestly don't know who the target market is for this amp. If it was for Karaoke you'd think they would have skipped the surround channels in favor of some mics. And if it's for home theatre, they should have ditched the karaoke and put HDMI or Toslink (optical) inputs. And in either case, a better sounding amplifier and not so much power would be preferred. If you're mainly wanting to use this for non-critical 2-channel stereo listing with maybe some karaoke on the side, then perhaps this amp if for you. It would be great for throwing parties or piping some music into the garage or back yard. But if you are looking for something to use for a home theatre, look elsewhere; because there are no "digital inputs" to connect a TV, Blu-ray player, or other video streaming device such as ATV or Roku.
