5.0 out of 5 stars Incredibly Moisturizing
I’ve been using this depology Matriplex™ Peptide Intense Cream for a little while now and it’s absolutely wonderful. At first I thought it looked like it would be really heavy and greasy. It’s actually very lightweight and absorbs really really well into my dry skin. It is a little greasy for the first 10 minutes or so after application, but after that, it’s just incredibly moisturizing. I haven’t noticed much change with fine lines yet, but I’ll give it some more time as my dry skin loves it.
4.0 out of 5 stars After couple months use and face feels smoother
I've been using this for a few months, and I've definitely seen a lot of improvement. My face feels smoother, and it's very moisturizing without leaving a greasy feeling, which is amazing. You don't need to use much either! I add this to my night routine for maximum benefit.
5.0 out of 5 stars Targets all the lines
I've tried another Depology product with Matrixyl 3000 before and really liked it. So, I decided to try this Depology Matriplex Peptide Intense Cream which has a Matrixyl complex. I hadn't heard of all the ingredients, so I looked them up on the brand website. Matrixyl 3000, which is a trademarked blend that includes the synthetic peptides palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7, is said to work on fine lines and skin texture and firmness. Synthe 6 is said to target deeper wrinkles, and Matrixyl Morphomics is said to target vertical lines. The only ingredient I don't love is the Melaleuca Alternifolia (tea tree), which I think is better for other skin types than my maturing skin. I will update when I've had a chance to use it longer, but so far so good.
5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful
I was a little nervous that "intense" meant it might irritate my skin, but not at all!! This is very moisturizing but not too heavy. It absorbs well and leaves my skin feeling very soft and plumped. I do feel I've seen some improvement with fine lines. I like using it at night because I feel like that lets it get the full affect. This is the second product I've tried from Depology and both have done what they promised, which is impressive.
5.0 out of 5 stars a nice mid weight moisturizer
This was a mid weight moisturizer. it wasn't as thick and occlusive as some others I prefer in the winter, but I love the texture of this and how it made my skin feel. Definitely going to use this in the summer. The ingredients are supposed to target fine lines - that's going to be something that takes a lot of time to start noticing, so I'll try using this consistently for a while and see if I see any improvements!
4.0 out of 5 stars Great, but not phenomenal, mid-weight moisturizer
It's hard for me to evaluate anything making more significant anti-aging claims. First, I'm skeptical of anything that isn't prescription truly delivering wrinkle erasure, though it's a nice fantasy. But also, because I use tretinoin (which really DOES deliver anti-aging backed up by decades of clinical research), it's even harder to register any long or mid-term changes with OTC products on my skin.So I am not here to attest that this will de-wrinkle you. It will not, if my experience is any indication. But it does impart a lot of moisture and a pretty nice glow to the skin.
4.0 out of 5 stars It's a good cream!
Overall, I really like the Matriplex Peptide Intense Cream by Depology. Since it is "intense", I did expect more of a moisture surge than it delivered for me, but I think it would be adequate for most people, and even myself in the summer time. I have chronically dehydrated skin that tends to be somewhat reactive. My skin drank this cream up! It feels cooling and like a drink of water for my skin, but in the depths of a cold, dry, New England winter, I need something a bit richer. I will try layering this with squalane or oil over it tonight to "seal" the moisture in. There is much to like about this cream- the texture being one of them. For people who do not like "heavy" creams, this is light and almost instantly absorbed. I appreciate that this cream contains Matrixyl peptides as well. Centella Asiatica is the first ingredient in this cream, so it is definitely targeted to those of us with sensitive skin that could use a little calming. For me, this makes for an excellent day cream after I apply serums, and before my sunscreen. For night time, I need something a little richer, but I am going to experiment with adding a layer on top of this to "seal" it in and see if that will suffice. I do enjoy using this on my neck as well. There was no noticeable scent, nor is there any added "perfume" in this formulation. Overall, it is a wonderful, light cream, that is unscented and suited to reactive and normal (even oily) skins. If you are super dehydrated or dry, you may find it isn't quite as "intense" or "rich" as you were hoping. The price point is completely in line with what I would expect to pay for a similar cream at a place like Sephora. For those wondering, the expiration date is clearly marked on the box, and is a long way out. Mine has an expiration date of 10/13/26.
5.0 out of 5 stars Hands down, the best moisturizer we've tried.
We are very serious about our skincare. We have tried dozens of different night creams. My partner gets very dry after we do clay masks at night, and a lot of the moisturizers we've used have left a lot to be desired. This one, not only makes our skin look great the morning after, but everything from the texture, consistency, feel, smell, etc... are just perfect. It just FEELS both effective and luxurious. We ran out of it so fast, because it's the only one either of us want to use. I don't say this about a lot of skincare products, but this is a truly wonderful cream!
