5.0 out of 5 stars It works as expected
One must read the directions which is included, it worked as expected. I was glad to confirm what I suspected was happening. I've read results may vary in people with PCOS, but I didn't have any issues with the result reading.
4.0 out of 5 stars Possibly useful for giving you a first look at your perimenopause status
Femometer FSH Menopause Test, Fertility Test Highly Sensitive FSH Test Strips, Help Understand Your ...I am struggling with how to rate these menopause test strips because I didn't get the results I was expecting. I used Femometers basal thermometer and app for years and loved them. But kind of stopped when my dr told me I was probably in peri based on my blood work. Well this came back with a result showing my FSH was not elevated. So that has had me questioning things. Truth is I don't have the horrible perimenopause symptoms I was having years ago either, but I am 4 yrs older now than when my bloodwork showed peri. So I would assume I'd have to be in it more now than then. Who knows, but kind of gives me hope that perhaps I was just under tons of stress and illness during that time (which I very much was along with the rest of the world during 2020.) But aside from my unexpected results, I'd say this is a kit for giving you that first look into your female health but bloodwork and a Dr are going to be a better assessment of that. Fairly easy to use if you follow the instructions accurately.
5.0 out of 5 stars They work
This is a hard item to review. But I would buy it again.
3.0 out of 5 stars Ok to try but always check with dr too.
Femometer FSH Menopause Test, Fertility Test Highly Sensitive FSH Test StripsThis is nice to try to see if there are signs of perimenopause so then you know if you should go to the dr. to make sure. This is something I wouldn't rely on totally. It's easy to use and read results.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works as we hoped it would
As a male, I will never experience menopause, so I turned to my fiancée, who is of the female gender, in her mid 40s, and is starting to experience some hot flashes here and there. She hasn’t been getting her monthly visitor in a long time and we are figuring that she is for sure starting to go through menopause. We decided to try out these menopause tests to confirm what we already know, prior to going to a doctor to be 100% sure. The kits arrived pretty quick, with 5 individually wrapped testers, along with instructions. She decided to try one out in the afternoon and with the first test, we noted that the test line was a light color, which needs to be as dark or darker than the control strip. She tried it again the next morning, as soon as she got up, and this test came out with the test line as dark as the control. She tried again another day with similar results. So, as we guessed, she is starting to go through menopause. As others have noted, it is a bit confusing to determine the test results, but reading the instructions notes how to use pretty easily. For the price, this is a good buy to do some preliminary testing for menopause but would still recommend a trip to the doctor to confirm.
4.0 out of 5 stars Seemed to work ok (hard to know for sure)
My review is for the Femometer FSH Menopause Test, Fertility Test Highly Sensitive FSH Test StripBesides the um...questionable brand name, this SEEMS to work. I confirmed my menopausal status with my OB/GYN and this matched her findings.I am not using for fertility testing, but rather tracking for a personal LACK of fertility. It appears you can get these cheaper elsewhere, but you can't beat the convenience of Bolo and buying online!
5.0 out of 5 stars Good thorough instructions
This menopause test is easy to use. It comes with thorough instructions. I'm not sure I would say that they are super clear and easy to follow, but if you take a minute to read through them it's not too hard. Here is my quick synopsis to clarify things: you just pee on the tip and wait 10 minutes to read it. Test on days 3, 10 and 17 after the start of your last period. Ideally test when you first pee in the morning. There are lots of other details for different situations, but that's it in a nutshell.
2.0 out of 5 stars It's ok
I don't like that a light line will show and your not supposed to count that. Nothing should come up then. Can be confusing
