5.0 out of 5 stars Two thumbs up from my physical therapist!
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } This is the second lift I ordered and this one is SO MUCH better! The first was cheaper in cost but very cheaply made - all plastic. This model is well built; sturdy (aluminum) and steady. The seat goes down to within an inch of the floor with an angled, beveled edged seat that makes it easy to scoot onto. The arms are critical to help standing up or fold up if a slide board is used to transfer onto a chair. The wheels are good quality and work like a charm to move the lift. The only disadvantage for some may be the assembly that will be required. The directions had lots of pictures but not much text explanation.. It took me about 15 min. to complete. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and the piece-of-mind it gives me.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Lift
We were needing something to assist us when my wife would accidentally fall out of her wheelchair. I used to be able to lift her in my younger days, but am not able to anymore. This lift makes it easy to get someone off of the floor and back into a chair or wheelchair after falling. It has a sturdy base and can lift up to 400lbs. I like that it has armrests that fold up out of the way. It also has bigger wheels on the back so the you can raise it making it easier to push like a 2 wheeler. It has a rechargeable battery and assembly was pretty easy. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars Well made but hoping you'll never need it
Heavy steel frame. Well balanced made with quality, institutional grade materials. Tried it out, putting it thru its paces on my 6ft 200lb son before I would ever use it on my bilat amputee elderly spouse. Shook it with son in it, had him shift his weight to check for instability. Motor was absolutely silent going up an down fully loaded. My spouse is only 145lbs so a tall 200lb man is test enough. We tested it with loading and unloading from floor to a chair. Did very well. The remote controls are attached to the device with a long flexible cord so it won't get lost and its magnetic so it sticks to the side of the column out of the way when not in use. I need to get a adhesive mounted cord winder to wind up the cord that is attached to the device that plugs into the wall to either use it with outlet power, or when I need to charge up the battery for battery power operations. Indicator lights on the battery pack and on the remote itself warns you when the battery is getting low and turns green when the battery is fully charged. The heavy steel lift tips onto wheels and rolls away when you want to put it away (empty!) but has firm sturdy handles to balance the device as it moves so its no more heavier or difficult to handle than pushing a empty hand truck (dolly). It passed my safety concerns. I chose this device over a sling type lift because there is no swinging around as you are going up or down making the rider less fearful. The chair has arm rests that raise up out of the way and lowers so the rider has handles to hold onto for natural sitting balance and a seat belt to strap him in. I bought this for fall recovery in the event that my spouse does not have use of his prosthetics to get back up from the floor as I am not capable of lifting him.
4.0 out of 5 stars Lift
Worked great if he got on it in floor position, it let down on floor very well, just hard for him to get on, returned
5.0 out of 5 stars Built like a tank
I am very pleased with this device. I am the care giver for my wife and I can no longer pick her up off the floor if she falls. This “lift” is perfect. I appreciate its sturdy construction and 400 lb capacity. We don’t need the capacity but it’s nice to have an “industrial” piece of equipment that is sturdy and safe!
5.0 out of 5 stars Works very well... is heavy
This is very heavy, however, you can move it since there are wheels on it, but you must tip it back a lot. It is easier to roll it when the seat is all the way down. I used this about 5 times to get my husband up off the floor. It worked well. he felt safe it in because of the arms and the seat belt. When he was in it, I found it was easier to roll it backwards than to try to push it forwards. It is very sturdy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very sturdy
This is sturdy, solid and yet not too heavy to wheel from one room to the next. We've only used it once so far, and that was to try it out so my husband who had a stroke and has no use of his left side, could try lowering to the floor and back up again. It was easy to use.... someone with more mobility than him will find it even easier. Unlike another one we ordered and returned because it was unstable, tippy and not sturdy, this one feels very solid. It was not difficult to put together... you will need a wrench, which is not included, and the instructions don't tell you what tools you'll need,. That is the only thing I could be critical of, and that's minor.
5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely great
My elderly mother refuses to leave her house or go to assisted living (yes, he has capacity to make decision) ; her caregiver cannot lift her if falls . They have used this 3 times in last 4 months to get her up to chair. It’s a little awkward to negotiate tight spaces but she can scoot in her bottom and get up no problem. I wish it was NOT needed but yet, here we are
Amazing Customer Service from SuperHandy
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Ordered an electric chair lift, which arrived with a broken piece - it happens.Bolo was only offering me a full refund, and I could not seem to speak with a human, so I reached out to SuperHandy directly and they immediately shipped me a replacement part, via courier, which fixed the problem without having to return/refund the purchase. The customer service received was impressive! Now the lift works great! Definitely recommend.
Excellent easy to use
The media could not be loaded. I bought 2 of these for upstairs and down stairs . I tested them both . Both were perfect. In order to check how it responded when a heavy person was sat on it my daughter and I sat on it together and with some additional weights we managed to put the weight of approx 24 stone on it and the lift still worked perfectly. It could have taken more weight but we didn’t have anything else to add . The seat goes flat to the floor and the feet of the lift get covered by the seat when it’s on ground level . The seat is wide and made of metal . The unit is heavy but the wheels make it easy to move if you need to . When being used to get off the floor the wheels are a centimetre off the floor so the unit won’t slip whilst you are trying to get up off floor for safety so don’t fear it will slip on you it won’t. . The unit only moves if you tilt it backwards to move someone elsewhere . Very easy to put together I did this alone . Took 5 min . Came with power already charged and was packed so carefully . Will easily lift anyone from floor to standing in a few seconds . It’s silent and very smooth . Sturdy , strong . You will need to be able to wiggle your self onto the chair some how . But once you can get yourself onto the seat it will rise you no trouble . Easy to use if your alone also . At maximum hight it was to high for me so I had to lower till my feet were flat on floor . When seat was at maximum hight it was just below the top of my legs . Would suit any hight really . Can be used to also lower your self to floor . Not for use with bath though . Suitable indoor and outdoors . Excellent value for money . Will last for years and years. The remote attached to the metal via magnet. Came with safety belt if needed. Good looking machine and stores flat or upright.
Steel and aluminum construction - no plastic here !
Delivery was even sooner than expected. The chair lift was very carefully packed against damage - a lot of thought went into the shipping box design itself. It's a very well made steel and aluminum chair lift, solid and stable, easy to assemble and thanks to the 2 wheels we can move it around with no problem. My wife is very happy with it and finds it easy to operate. Hopefully we won't need it too often but it's a great comfort knowing we don't have to call neighbours or the ambulance for assistance any more. Recommended.
Ot works great
Easy to use and it works great. Saving my knees and back is worth the money - blew my knee out doing the job this lift was bought to do.
