5.0 out of 5 stars My niece loves this!!
i bought these puzzles for my 4-year-old niece. i like that there are a lot of them and it has objects as well so when she puts the puzzles together, we learn about he objects as well. it has the alphabet and the numbers. if done right, you can get about a hr and 30 minutes or learning time out of them. of course, the fun part is putting the puzzle together but learning about the extras on the puzzle pieces is an added bonus.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great educational puzzle set
This puzzle set is a fun and unique way to learn letters, sounds, and what words start with particular letters. It is also a good set for color practice. The kids can put this puzzle together by letters or numbers and colors or they can make separate piles of the matching pieces and then put the pieces together for each separate circle. The puzzle comes in a box for storage but once the pieces are all messed up it is king of hard to fit them in so they need a larger storage box if they are not put back into the box as completed puzzle sheets.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great puzzles but pieces don't fit very well
The media could not be loaded. This is a great set of puzzles to learn through play! The alphabet puzzles have a lot of words for each alphabet, along with pictures for recognition. The number ones have different ways of showing the number like finger, dice, items and so on.The pieces themselves are sturdy and made of thick cardboard, smooth finish. The pictures and letters are clearly printed. The only issue is that the order in which the outer pieces in a circle fit is almost predefined. Any other order and the pieces just don't fit. It can be a bit frustrating because of how the pieces are designed. See video - half of them have a flat inside and half have a piece that should fit into the center circle. But each piece only fits into one of the slots of the inner circle, although they are all seemingly the same size! The trick is to make sure all the words are in a "readable" orientation and not upside down or sideways. If you can get over the pieces fitting issue, this is a great item.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great set of puzzles and teaching aid for young children
This arrived quickly and my kiddo was quick to dig in. Actually, when I was viewing this Bolo listing, my kid said 'oh toy! mommy I want' lol, so mommy got it for him. My two year old loves puzzles and likes playing with this set as well. He's also learning his alphabets and numbers, so we like the inclusion of both in the set. He puts the pieces together and learns the words at the same time. The puzzle is paper printed on thin paper/wood board. I can't tell if it's paper or super thin wood board. I am not sure how well they'll hold up to repeated play, but it's colorful and works for now. The pieces can be awkward to put together for little hands though, so parents need to help. The box is exact size, you can throw the pieces inside and it all fits, or keep the 2 zipped plastic baggies the set came in for loose pieces before putting back in box. Recommend.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not so easy for toddlers
I brought this for my 3 year old and it's very difficult. I even sat down to help her and I was having issues with putting it together.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great puzzles!
These are great little puzzles for introducing or reviewing letters and numbers! I will give my 3 year old one or two at a time and use these to review our "letter of the week". He loves puzzles so this is the perfect activity. They are simple to do and have nice little pictures. They also came packaged in alphabetical and numerical order, so I found that to be very helpful!
5.0 out of 5 stars ABC's and 123's in a Box!
From my Wife:This is a fun puzzle set that comes in a fairly small box that will only fit if the puzzles are put together. I intend to introduce it in my preschool classroom, although it's suitable for early elementary children too. Overall, I am pleased with this set and feel like it will be fairly durable. The material appears to be a lightweight veneer, not as hefty as traditional wooden puzzles yet not as flimsy as cardboard. This would make a great gift!
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice letter and number puzzles, require a trick to put together
These are nice letter and number puzzles. There is a total of 36 between the letters and numbers, so it's a large collection of puzzles. They are in a variety of colors, but there is some overlap and some subtle differences (slightly different shades of pink), so the colors don't make it entirely clear which pieces go together if a child is still working on letter sounds or counting. When I put a puzzle together for the first time, I built the ring around the outside and then tried to put the center pieces in, but I couldn't. The child sitting with me had the same problem. Then we figured out that although the images around the edge of the circle can be put in any order, you have to alternate those with a "bump" and those without, so that the center pieces can go in. Once we realized that, we talked about the pattern and kept building. But it's worth noting if you or your child gets frustrated!
