Great laptop

So, my previous laptop was starting to show signs of failure, which meant it was time to get a new laptop. I shopped around and looked at reviews. Their were two types people focus when shopping for laptops: the literal on-the-go, compact, multi-day battery types of laptop; the other the high-powered, alternate to your desktop kind of laptop. Out of all the present models I chose the Asus ROG Strix for having an excellent balance of efficiency and power.Now I need to note that this review can't be a direct review of a new laptop as I got mine from Bolo Warehouse (lightly, once used tech resold at a discount). So I do not know what a version of this laptop fresh out-of-the-box is like.I can review how this laptop has been, and so far it has been excellent. It's light-weight and compact yet has a bigger screen than my original 14" laptop. The fans are quiet most of the time and running at top power they are still smooth with minimum noise. It has a descent size touch pad (it does not come with a number pad on it) that is not over-sensitive and works as well as a mouse. As for the batter life, it's unclear how long it can really last (I estimate it at between 4-6 hours without major features running).As for the physical features It comes with two regular USB ports on the right side next to each other, a LAN line port, an HDMI, and two USB-C ports on the left. The body and frame is a solid yet smooth metal-like plastic. It also has an LED light running along the front of the underside. Both that and the keyboard can have their lights and color chanced using ASUS's armory crate app that also lets you control most other features of the computer.All in all I love my new laptop and have been enjoying using it and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new computer.

Extremely happy with this laptop. Great graphics, speed, really nice feel to the keyboard & touchpad. I immediately upgraded the RAM from 16GB (2x8GB) to 64GB (2x32GB), which was recognized and works well. Used the included software, Armory Crate, to set one color for keyboard lights and to turn off the sound it plays when booting up. The 3 fan design is great and the laptop runs quietly, although I am mainly using it for graphics and speed, very light gaming. A great value for a great spec. It is not as thin and sleek as a mac, but still looks great with a nice overall design and great cooling for the i9 processor. Would definitely recommend.

The computer is amazing and yes you can buy upgrade Ram to 64gb despite what ASUS says about 32gb max. For the price, you cannot go wrong with this computer. However, the seller is false advertising by showing that it has a numpad on the track pad. This feature is NOT included with this computer. They should not have that as the main photo as it is VERY misleading! I did not plan to use the numlock pad much but it would've been a nice feature to have, so I am disappointed about this. So far though, the computer is great and moves smoothly. audio isn't the best, but most people use headphones anyway these days. The quality of the screen is great and the motion is very smooth. I am overall satisfied, just wish they did not get my hopes up for something the computer did not have!

I bought this as a workstation 6 months ago and was able to install a Ubuntu Server dual boot on this with no issues. Solid feel, quiet and fan speeds are configurable. You can install ASUS's control center on Linux, and control fan speeds and lights. The lights are a beautiful touch.Downsides: I haven't been able to get speakers to work on Linux, only headphones and speakers via HDMI. Also, it only comes with 2 USB-A and USB-C ports. Considering that this is a gaming or workstation laptop, the user will very likely use a keyboard and mouse and will have no open ports left.In short, worth every penny, unless you're only buying this for gaming, in which case the i9-13980HX is overkill and you should allocate more toward the GPU. I haven't had time to test games FYI.

I bought this laptop to replace a previous Asus laptop that had become outdated for continued use.One week into receiving this laptop it suddenly stopped booting up. I was only able to download VS Code (no additional modules) and Steam onto my device. I highly doubt those would be detrimental to the hardware of such a laptop, yet here we are. So I contact Asus for troubleshooting tips and they tell me to unplug the AC adapter, hold the power button for 60 seconds, then turn it on. Sadly this did not work. So they create an RMA and tell me to send it in to be repaired.Three weeks later I receive the laptop. On the third day my computer freezes when attempting to load VS Code. I turn it off, and when turning it back on it takes far longer than usual to boot up, and I hear some weird clicking noises. Fortunately it eventually turns on. Minutes later I get a blue screen that tells me my device encountered a problem and needs to restart. When this happens, the laptop again takes a very long time to start (the lights are indeed on), but now there’s an orange blinking light. So I call Asus again about this, and am prompted to do the same exercise as last time. It continues to not boot up, and now I’m told it may be something wrong with the battery. So I’m again prompted to send the device in for repairs.For the amount of money spent on this product I decide that this product is not worth this back and forth when out of 2 months of frustration I really only had a week of actual use. So I decide I don’t want it anymore and would rather purchase from another company (I can only cross my fingers that there’s better customer service out there). But now I’m in hot water. Bolos return window has closed. So I contact Bolo about the entire situation and was told there’s nothing they can do. They then referred me to deliberate with the manufacturer. So I do so, and Asus then tells me that my warranty only covers repairs, so I’m told the most I can do is send it back to them yet again.This is one of the worst purchases I’ve ever made. Having been an Bolo Prime member for a good number of years it would have been nice for them to be of more help, but nope (acknowledgement of loyalty in general is just dead). When contacting Asus in lieu of my frustrations they only repeat the same robotic responses, “I’m sorry you’re dealing with your issue, but your warranty only covers repairs. That’s all we can do for you”.The intent behind getting this laptop was to hone my skills in software and video game development, hence needing something more powerful than what I had before. On a side note this was also an area I sought to have a secondary stream of income doing. Sadly I’m left with an unreliable product prone to escalating defects.I’m happy for anyone who’s bought this and haven’t experienced issues, but otherwise buyer beware.
La imagen y el sonido son perfectos, la jugabilidad es increíble.
El HDR de esta computadora se nota demasiado, diferente a una laptop full HD,el sonido Dolby Atmos se nota mucho y suena bien configurado correctamente. Se puede expandir hasta 64 GB de ram aunque en las especificaciones diga que solo 16.A veces parpadea cuando lo conecto a la corriente al inicio pero se recupera así que no es ningún problema.Estoy satisfecha con la compra 👍El diseño es muy lindo, ya saben entre más rgb más fps.Solo falta probarlo para transmitir en twitch, espero y no decepcione.

El equipo es un equipo muy completo. Por el precio al que la compré fue una excelente realación costo-prestaciones.Algunos detalles que puedo compartir son los siguientes:Los materiales de construcción son muy buenos. La sensación al tacto del prástico utilizado es muy buena. Se siente muy bien construida.La bateria a configuración máxima de trabajo dura aproximadamente 2 horas sin estar jugando. Jugando Fall Gays por ejemplo dura algo así como 1 hora 20 minutos.Para hacer que dure la bateria obviamente hay que reconfigurar el equipo. Bajar la frecuencia de pantalla, configurar la tarjeta de video en modo standar, bajar la retroiluminación del teclado, etc, permite que la bateria dure hasta 5 horas en un uso "de oficina".La tecla enter de pronto se confunde con las teclas que estan junto a ella por que el enter en pequeño. además de que cerca del enter se encuentran las teclas de flechas de dirección y a veces presionas las teclas de las flechas en lugar del enter. Nunca he usado las teclas multimedia que estan al final del teclado del lado derecho.Con el cargador conectado, cualquier programa que yo utilice (simuladores de electrónica, office, juegos, etc) funcionan de maravilla y extremadamente todo muy fluido al reconfigurar todo el sistema en configuraciones de máximo desempeño. obvimanete cuando se tiene conectado el cargador (que parece un ladrillo y pesa como un ladrillo) se puede usar la frecuencia de pantalla a 240Hz y la experiencia visual es muy buena.Los ventiladores en general son muy silenciosos. Obviamente cuando se está jugando, se ponen a maxima capacidad pero el ruido no es tan molesto como otros equipos que he tenido.El diseño del equipo es muy compacto respecto a otras laptopgaming. Es decir, no es tan voluminosa como otros equipos; obviamente el peso es mayor que una laptop de tipo slim.En conclusión, es un equipo bastante completo con prestaciones extraordinarias

After a year of using this laptop, I am honestly impressed with itI brought it to an Asus Service center (🤣just for a Bio update) and was reassured that everything was up to par, only difference was that this is a USA modelThus far, these are the main points of consideration for future buyers:- trusted brand and quality- a solid year of usage without issues- no overheating or freeze frames- tried on multiple games including Triple A titles- prolonged usage on streaming platforms (binge watching 🤣)- overall excellent and quality productSo conclusion is, just buy it

Se puede jugar la mayoria de titulos en graficos alto/ultra a 60 fps, no he podido probrar el rendimiento con el RaytracingEso si, en esos graficos el ventilador se escucha un monton, pero si usas audifonos no creo que lo llegues a oir
Muy buenaaa
Llevo una semana con ella y es muy rápida y eficiente, no he tenido problemas al momento con ninguna cosa. A veces produce un poco de coil whine, pero es un ruidito mínimo que apenas se escucha o molesta. Los 240hz son increíbles, la batería no dura tanto tiempo dependiendo de lo que estés haciendo pero tiene opciones para recargar de inmediato la batería o activar un ahorro de energía.
