    im quite pleased with this purchase. i'm an absolute beginner at whittling, and i was willing to settle for a lower quality knife to save money in a hobby i didn't even know if i'd like, but this is a really nice knife. of course, as a beginner, i can't compare it to the nicer knives available, but im happy with it. it's quite sharp right out of the box, and i've been stropping it maybe every 15-40 minutes of use or so and it's kept a great edge. fits quite comfortable in the hand, and easy to use. i like the shape of the handle and the blade is pretty versatile, which is good for a beginner on a budget. ive managed to easily strip bark, make big cuts, and do tiny detail work with it. ive also managed to slip and cut myself, but that's just a bit of user error. maybe add a pair of cut proof gloves to your cart before you check out on this one 👌🏼in the images with this review you can see the small details i've managed with this knife, including managing to carve out the eye of some yarn needles with the point of it!

    I've been carving a pine slice and needed this for fine detail. It's perfect. The blade is nice and sharp, and hasn't dulled as quickly like some of my other blades do. The handle is very comfortable and ergonomic. I would buy again and will buy other blades like this one.

    I bought this on a whim, I saw the price and thought it was worth a shot. Put it to work right out of the box. Razor sharp, good even grinds, blade sits securely in the handle. Used it on some seasoned white oak, has held up edge/handle through a couple of hours of carving. Not sure if the strop is real leather, but it would hold compound. Overall it’s just as good as knives twice the price, I’m going to order the sloyd too.

    A good whittling knife. In my hand really nicely. Comes with some Jewelers chalk and some stropping leather. So it'll stay nice and sharp!
