This is my initial entry into the Govee Home Lighting ecosystem. Build quality is top notch for these lights. Install was simple and straightforward even for electrical boxes that are over 20 years old. Fit and level was very easily achieved. Connections were pretty standard as well, which all of these are a plus when trying to install on an older home.Software and adding the devices were simple as expected with the mature app and support this system already has. The base functions of the lights are strong. The white light option gets brighter as the light gets warmer definitely providing a safe viewing area for our security cams. The single zone colors are great.Where I’m not impressed with the lights are the “lamp” color selection part of the app. The colors tend to wash out and are not truly the base colors you select. When the blue and orange are applied to the lights as lamp zones the colors nothing like the base preset color when all three lamp zones are the same selected color. In the pics attached I have all three lamp zones selected as blue or orange and they look great, but when you use the lamp zones to make each lamp have both blue and orange the colors are way off. Maybe that can be addressed in future updates or maybe it never will improve. It’s not a deal breaker but it’s an advertised feature that doesn’t actually work very well. I will test with the custom setup and try only have two zones instead of three, if that’s possible.Next area to improve… automation tab has time sets to turn the lights on and off. What would be better since these are generally going to be used for front of home lighting would be a dusk til dawn preset that tracks and changes sunrise and sunset the adjusts the times daily/weekly. Our smart switch that has these lights has this feature already built in, but folks without a smart switch would have to change the on/off times as the daylight times change throughout the year.Overall still a strong product and a great foundation to build a DIY home lighting system utilizing the features and product of Govee.

The media could not be loaded. These are great. They mount up easy, look amazing, and the app control lets them be customized and programmed to make our home unique in the neighborhood. The vibrant colors are nearly impossible to capture on video.

They hook up like most outdoor porch lights. These lights are WILD, the amount of color motion is bound to embrace any imaginative Vibe/Aesthetic. I was Blown away by the brightness. The app for Govee lights is pretty user friendly and any bugs tend to get corrected/worked thru. This brand has been meeting my expectations since they got into the Led Home Accessories stream quite early
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy install, Very Bright, Weird Software
I ordered 6 of these (3x 2 packs) and they are great. the install was very easy where I was replacing existing fixtures on wood siding and masonry. They all paired pretty easily for the initial setup but I found the app a little clunky trying to setup custom light scenes or even getting them all to replicate as a group. I was able to get hooked up to homekit and work with my smart automations outside of the app. At full bright white these things really do the trick.

We love these lights! we put up 5 of them outside out house and they look great and brightness is awesome. Best part is that it has a dedicated "White" so I can get a super bright white light too!

It has a nice, modern feel to it. If you’ve done any type of basic electrical work, this will be a breeze. Just your basic black, white and ground wires. The casing itself is mostly plastic. It’s moderately robust and the internal electronics of the light seem pretty well isolated from the elements. Once installed, you do need to caulk around the mounted frame for more protection/weatherproofing.The different colors and scenes are a great change from just an ordinary 3000K/4000K light output. Can see this being useful around the holidays (Halloween, Christmas, etc). Light is defused nicely via the white plastic cover. But on full brightness, it does put out a good amount of light. It’s also fairly easy to control with Govee’s Home app. It didn’t come with a motion detector. But I’m going to experiment with different sensors and motion detectors that I have to see if I can incorporate it into my smart home setup. I’ll update if there are any major issues.

I replaced my old dirty porch lights with these and I'm really impressed. They are incredibly versatile and I can't wait to see what they can do with the upcoming holiday season. My only gripe is the sunrise / sunset function on the app doesn't work, I had to pair with Alexa to get the timer to function properly. Not a huge deal, but if you're reading this review, something to keep in mind. Will likely buy another one for the last exterior light near my garage in the near future.
Great Lights
I have bought and installed 3 of these lights. They were very easy to wire in and they connected to the app perfectly. I am very happy with them.
Govee quality
If you own anything Govee, than you know the name brand speaks for itself! Great quality, easy installation, phenomenal product. I definitely recommend this product and this brand.
Mounting bracket is terrible
If the ears on your electrical box that the mounting bracket attach to are aligned vertically or horizontally and not offset by 45 degrees the bracket will not screw on without modification. I had to spend about half an hour slotting out holes on the bracket to fit my box. I think it will work for most people with no issues.Other than the poorly designed mounting bracket the light is great. Build quality is solid and colors look great.
