I'm not a professional who makes money with my tools so I don't need the fancy snap ring pliers off the tool truck that comes by and exchanges beautiful tools for your kidneys and first borns. I just need solid tools that work and don't fall apart when I use them a few times a year at most.These fit the bill. The casting is decent and I don't see any obvious defects and the handles feel comfortable. The screw at the hinge point looks a little like lighter weight aluminum but I'm not certain of that to say for sure just based on the looks, and it seems ok so far. Just something to be aware of, but I won't mark them down for it. It seems plenty strong so far and I cranked down on a metal table with them and tried to twist them at an angle and didn't get any flex.I probably will throw these loose in my toolbox drawer, but if you're the type who likes to keep them in a case, they come with a better than average roll type case with a nice buckle to keep them closed up tight and snug. I've seen a lot of cheap cases with tools in this sort of price range and normally they're straight up trash and obviously an afterthought. This case is decent and I could actually see using it if I needed to take them somewhere.So overall, good buy, good tools.
