When I opened my four pack I was a little sad that I could only really smell the Sage before using them. But the first one I used was Cedar and Pine and I must say it smells great. Another great thing about it is how smooth the butter is. I have gotten a different brand in the past that was grainy, and then another brand that was too thick and sticky. This smells great, is smooth and just the right consistency.I know this is my first time using it so far, but I am satisfied with it. I will update if that changes.

I’m new to beards and have been trying different products. I gotta say I wished I started here. This is almost like a sample size but I have realized a little goes a long way. The fragrance in this box is great. Love the way it makes my beard feel. It comes with a sticker. I believe I have found a brand of products I’m gonna stick with. Gonna order the wash and conditioner next. Great product

I've bought my hubby many different brands of beard balm in the last several years, he's got sensitive skin and I'm a licensed Cosmetologist, so I'm pretty picky about hair and skin care. This one smells fantastic, far and away my favorite scents so far and not too overwhelming, think Aveda as a comparison. I do find it slightly greasy as compared to others we've tried, so go a little easier on the amount applied as compensation. It hasn't aggravated my hubby's skin at all, which is saying something, and his beard looks very healthy. It doesn't start to smell rancid, which some products do, and the ingredients are all identifiable. I recommend using one of the terrific wooden combs for beards here on Bolo as they distribute the products nicely and help absorb some excess. Great product!

i absolutely love this balm. it only leaves a light waxy feeling on your hands after you wash them. had others that seemed like i couldn't wash the balm off my hands. so this one is acceptable. so far all balms i've tried leave a little waxiness. this balm rubs to a really light oil. doesn't leave your beard oily, or weighted down. all in all a great balm.the smells are a little different story. they are not bad smells, but i have to agree they do remind me of bathroom air fresheners. again not bad smells at all, but i think they need to reformat it. really sure they would be far more popular if they did. the smells are not overly strong, they seem to last a good couple hours. the "bathroom" smell seems to fade and you don't get to caught up in it. i use these and several other balms in rotation, and i never feel i should avoid this brand.the four smells for me in order of favorite.1) Bay rum: this one you will also be with. it is a smell you may have smelled from the air spritzers in bathrooms. it has kinda a cinnamon and bubblegum smell. i call it spicy bubblegum. i like this one the most.2) Clary sage: this one kinda reminds me of camping candles. not the citronella ones, but the other kind. light pine like smell, almost berry, but not sweet, kinda sharp. honestly really like it, it is a close second.3) Sandal wood: light woody smell. not saying sweet, but in the bright notes.4) Cedar and pine: has kind of a sweet musky smell to it. don't want to say it, but it does smell like a new urinal cake. it isn't obnoxious. and again i like these balms. you can tell what i mean. it is a good smell, but just a smell that is common with something you may be familiar with. least favorite, but still use it here and there.it is really hard to write this. i love the product, but again i really think the company needs to work with someone to get their scents improved. they got the product, but i feel they skimped on the smells.i would have given them a 4, but i can't fault them to much just because the smell reminds me of something else. and honestly the smell grows on you.

The Viking Revolution 4 Beard Balm Variety Pack had me excited with promises of sandalwood, pine & cedar, and bay rum scents, but after trying them, I’m left feeling… meh. The variety sounds awesome, but the performance and overall experience didn’t quite hit the mark for me.What didn’t quite cut it:Scents were underwhelming: The fragrances sounded great in theory, but in practice, they were pretty subtle—and not in a good way. The sandalwood and bay rum were nice but faded super quickly, while the pine & cedar barely made an appearance. If you’re looking for a balm with lasting scent power, these just aren’t it. 🌲❌So-so hold: For a beard balm, I expected more control and hold, but it felt more like a light moisturizer. It did soften my beard, but didn’t really tame those wild hairs or shape it the way I’d hoped. More fluff than finesse. 🧔♂️🌀Feels kinda greasy: It’s not the worst, but the balms left a slightly greasy feeling that wasn’t ideal. I expected something that would absorb better, but instead, it sat on the beard and skin a bit too much for my liking. 🤷♂️Bottom line: The Viking Revolution Beard Balm Variety Pack isn’t terrible, but it didn’t wow me either. The scents are too subtle, the hold is just okay, and the texture could use improvement. If you’re after something with serious control or strong fragrance, you might want to keep looking. For me, it’s a "meh." 🧔♂️✌️

I didn't have any experience with beard oils and balms, so I didn't have an opinion about which aroma I would prefer. This was an inexpensive and convenient way to gain some insight into the different aromas available. All four were pleasant smelling.

Ive tried several beard balms, some are too waxy, some are to oily...some of them have weird textured stuff in it. My wife got me a viking revolution box for christmas and i instantly fell in love. So now i have to buy it myself....or wait for the holidays.

The sizes are definitely great since you don't use much at a time anyways. A small amount goes a long way.Got these for my man along with shampoo and conditioner for his beard. They smell amazing and he says it feels great on his beard.
