I ordered two of these to start, with plans of adding 3 more, but they are so astoundingly bright that I may just stick with these two!There are 5 different brightness levels and 5 different color temps selectable via slider switches on the fixture. One of the pictures I’ve included shows both lights at the coolest color temp and highest brightness level. The other picture shows one as described and the other set to the dimmest level along with the warmest color temp.Note that this is not a plug-in shop light as it comes in the box. You can either mount it permanently or hang it from hooks, but you must either add a power cord or wire it permanently.For the price, this is a steal and I’m adding it to my favorites list.

Before I go on to what cost them two stars, I’ll start with the pros.The combination of wattage setting and color temperatures make the light very versatile. I was concerned because it says high bay and I put mine up in a very small workshop with a low ceiling. In fact, the highest point of the ceiling is less than 7 feet. Set to 30 watts and a fairly warm color temperature it is fine. It’s not too bright for me. Even set to 70 watts it is ok in my roughly 8 x 15 workshop with a low ceiling.There are ample holes up top for mounting using chains. I’m not sure about surface mounting.I did expect it to be brighter, but it still is quite bright. I’m a light junkie. I have 50k lumens of light in my garage.Attaching an electrical cord with a plug was easy, but I would have liked to see the wire gauge size thicker, and an inch or so more length of the wires to attach the cord to.On to what cost them two stars.The light arrived in a slightly damaged box with a dent in one end of the light strip. There was no damage to the box on the end where the light strip is dented, so the damage happened prior to being packaged. QC should have caught that. Did they miss something less obvious too?Nowhere on the product page does it say that you have to be familiar with lighting systems or use a qualified electrician to install the lights, but the instructions do say that. I’m sure that string them together is just a little bit more complex, but I only have one light strip, and it isn’t hard to wire a 3 prong cord to it.The explanation of the color-coding of the wires in the instructions cannot be read without magnification. Because of the safety importance of clearly explained color-coding, this strongly contributed to the rating. Yes, there are standard colors, but it isn’t always safe to assume that standards are being followed. If the information is important for safety, then it is important enough to print in an easily readable font size. Not doing so is reckless and irresponsible.There is also an extra plate and no explanation of what it is for.Because of the writing on the wiring diagram being too small to read with the naked eye, the lack of explanation of the extra plate, the damage not caught at the factory, and the failure to disclose up front their claim that it must be installed by an electrician, they lost 2 stars.I recommend serious consideration of other brands.

Man, this LED shop light has been a lifesaver in my garage! I finally have decent light over my workbench, and it’s made a world of difference. I used to struggle to see what I was doing, but now it’s like daylight in there.The coolest thing is that I can actually adjust how bright it is. It’s got five different settings, which is perfect. If I’m doing something detailed, like soldering or fine woodworking, I can dial it down so it’s not blindingly bright. But when I’m just trying to find something in the garage or need to light up the whole space, I can crank it up. And the fact that it works with my dimmer is awesome – I have complete control. Plus, I’m sure I’ll see a difference on my electric bill now that I’m not running those old, energy-hogging lights.The light itself is really nice. It’s super bright and white, which is exactly what I need when I’m working on projects. The build quality seems solid too. It’s made of aluminum and some kind of tough plastic, and the cover over the bulbs looks like it’ll hold up well. I’m not worried about it getting damaged in my messy garage.Setting it up was a piece of cake. I just mounted it above my workbench, and I was good to go. It was light enough that I could handle it myself, which was a bonus.Honestly, I’m kicking myself for not getting one of these sooner. It’s made working in my garage so much more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a good shop light for your workbench or garage, I highly recommend this one!

Good bright shop light. It was tested in a well house approximately 10x8 and lit the entire room up. I have left this light on for weeks, and its still working just fine.

Bright lights. Easy to understand install instructions. Very lightweight and a sleek profile.Fits the description and no funny business. Could be built of more resilient materials, so removing a star.
