(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I bought this speaker on sale expecting it to be your run of the mill Bluetooth speaker, you know sounds ok, not great, need something for the beach, fishing camping etc. How surprised was I when I charged it up and connected my phone to it and the sounds coming out. It sounded great in my kitchen, I took it outside into my garage and worked outside for a few hours and I adjusted the volume and even my neighbor come over to say the speaker sounded great. Great purchase, you can sync two of these together for stereo sound and they are water resistant and dust proof so they can go with you wherever. I have taken mine fishing, camping, on picnics and have dropped it and it plays great for a long while. If your not driving it at loud volumes, it will last all day and sound great. This speaker is a great deal for the sound and durability you get.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good bass and sound
My wife complains its too loud. We have the storm blast too and that shakes the house but this is a good middle ground. Charge lasts a long time as well. I like more bass and this could have a little more but great for its size.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the price
Overall, I’m very pleased with the sound quality of these speakers, I purchased two to pair for stereo use. The pairing and connectivity to Bluetooth were very easy. The EQ app really allows you to adjust the audio to your liking, especially for the low end. With a little tweaking you can get more base than the base boost setting. I love the portability of these speakers, truly great sound on the go!
4.0 out of 5 stars Solid sound, not perfect
Improved sound over original Tribit StormboxSolid bass performance, mids a bit too recessedHighs are a bit brittle and can be slightly harshOverall, solid speaker when on sale around $40, built quality is outstanding and easy to useCompared to JBL charge and flip, this Stormbox2 holds its own, but lacks midrange and treble clarity of the JBLs, but at a better price point. Lacks clarity and sound quality of Tribit maxsound and xsound speakers though.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great sound
Great sound. Have now bought two and everyone in the family takes it and uses it everywhere from the shower to camping. Nice compact size and battery lasts a long time.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Speaker
I use my speaker to listen to music and the sound is incredible. I also use it when I talk on the my cell phone. It is a great thing to have for seniors who have trouble hearing some phone conversations. It is easy to charge. A perfect size Easy to connect with Bluetooth. I did it myself and I’m 80.
3.0 out of 5 stars Mixed Results; Bike Water Bottle Holder Friendly!
The good: The overall construction of the product is amazing. You can tell that it is very tough. I've rode my bike through the rain with this speaker on over an hour without any issues with performance, and it still looks brand new. The mesh cloth is very durable coming in and out of the water bottle cage and feels like it'll last a long time. The product is very heavy which I regard as a positive in terms of durability.I like the simplicity of the controls. You can skip songs simply by double clicking the middle circle button so it's easy to use while riding a bike without getting distracted. This was a definite advantage of this unit over others I looked at.The bad: Within just a few uses the strap that you use to pull the speaker in and out of position snapped off. It is held together by a very flimsy button. This part is critical for getting the speaker in and out of the side of your backpack, a bike, water bottle, cage or wherever else you use to store it and was one one of the key reasons why I bought the product.I wish they would have designed it with only one passive subwoofer portion coming out of the top. When you're using the speaker outdoors, you lose a 50-60% of the bass unless the speaker is sitting on a perfectly hard surface, (This is a really poor design decision since speakers like these are mostly used outdoors while biking, hiking, going to the beach, etc. Where the speaker is often not used on a perfectly flat surface.). In contrast, when I bring the speaker indoors and use it on my office desk, the bass is overwhelming.A simple design change to include only one passive woofer on top would have resolved much ofthis issue and yielded a better quality product in my opinion. The audio is a little bit "tin-y" compared to a Cambridge angle speaker I purchased for about half the price and half the wattage from 3 or 4 years ago. But the bass performs better on this unit (indoors) and this works much better in a water bottle cage on a bicycle. It also has USB-C which my old speaker did not. If you're like me and can't stand carrying around two kinds of cables, USB-C is a must.Overall I would give this 3 and 1/2 stars. For the price I was expecting a little bit higher quality sound, but given how perfectly it fits onto my bike, I'm happy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Speaker, Especially For The Price
For $69+, you will not go wrong with the Tribit Stormbox 2. I paid for this with my own money. The sound quality for a $69 speaker is excellent. It gets loud with the 34 watts, loud enough to be heard just fine over a group of drunks. It has the latest Bluetooth 5.3 and connects fast. There is a "bass booster" button that does audibly bump up the bass-- look for $69 you aren't gonna get some deep bumping beats. But it's good enough. You can connect to the app and customize the sound settings. It's IPX7 so it will probably be fine if you drop it in the pool. And they claim the battery lasts 24 hours, I'm assuming this is at mid volume and the bass booster off. Bottom line, it would be hard if not impossible to find a louder, better sounding speaker at this price point. Plus it's waterproof and has a great battery.
Good product
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } This is a great value product. If you want the best in the world, maybe not, but this is good solid value. Easy to use, good audio fidelity. Battery life is decent. Solid build quality. I would recommend to family and friends.
Très bonne Enceinte

Small but effective.
Value for money. The speaker looked small, but has very good bass effect. Sound clarity is acceptable.

Best Christmas Purchase of 2024
I was inspired at a recent party after seeing the music was coming from a small speaker, something that I had disregarded as a real option for playing high quality sounding music in the home. This is because the cheap items I had experienced in the past never really impressed me but the market has massively moved on in recent years, with lots of quality brands making mini speakers for a range of uses and prices that had pretty much passed me by.I started by looking at the Bose SoundLink, the brand I had seen at the party, which was quite expensive. However, looking at the reviews online of many similar products, it became clear that I didn't need to spend anything like as much and still get something just as good. There is a big difference in price, especially with some of the classic branded items, which all have great sound but are not night and day different or necessarily better than cheaper products. In fact, they sometimes lack the rich functionality and innovative thinking available from newer brands. The Tribit, for example, seems to hold its own against similar products three times the price. I had never even heard of the brand Tribit until I started researching but quickly focused in on the Stormbox 2 as a shortlist option. Before that I was very tempted by the Beats Pill, which seems to provide better quality sound than more expensive brands. In fact, I was about to purchase one but then realised the Stormobox 2 was half the price and for the same money as one Pill I could buy two Stormbox 2 units, link them and play them in stereo. No single speaker in the same product category is likely to outperform a stereo setup - you would have to spend considerably more money, and perhaps buy something from the next product category up.The speakers arrived within 24 hours, just in time for New Years Eve, and took me less than 5 minutes to unbox and setup. The sound and clarity is great and the stereo setup works really well. I listened to a single speaker first before linking the other, and this showed the improvement in sound when in stereo mode. This is a very cost effective and convenient alternative to having a full stereo setup with proper standalone stereo speakers, which no doubt will always be superior but takes up lots of space. Two of these Tribit mini speakers gives you more than enough stereo quality sound with decent bass in any room of the house. You can even take them outside, which I haven't done yet.If you want outright volume and deep bass, you may need to spend more for something with a higher output but I have these in my kitchen and they easily fill the entire downstairs of the house. The build is very good quality and they appear strong and sturdy. I would have no reason to fear taking them outside or even being a bit heavy handed as they feel rugged. They came with 70% charge and I was able to play them all day long, late into the night and through the next day before the batteries went low and they needed their first charge.I downloaded the app to my phone when unboxing and before switching the first device on and have been impressed with how easy it is to use. The app may not be super advanced or win any awards but it does what it needs to do and I like that I am able to use its functions without logging in with an account - it just works as soon as you install it. I also like that you can have two smart phones linked to one speaker at the same time, so I can allow my son to use them too.All in all, this one impulse purchase has probably turned out to be the best of the holiday period. I took a bit of chance buying two at the same time, instead of trying one first and then maybe buying the second later if I liked it. However, I'm glad I took the plunge and just went all in, because they are really that good and I have zero reason to believe I made the wrong purchase or could have got something better for the money. No doubt someone will correct me on this in due course :-) all feedback welcome. They look great in the kitchen while remaining subtle and requiring hardly any space.I purchased two because they were on a deal, which made them a bit cheaper than the normal price. This meant buying two exactly matched the price of a single Beats Pill. That was my justification for getting two at the same time - man maths always wins :-) Filling the kitchen with music while I cook is a privilege that never gets old and is so easy to do now with decent quality but without bulky equipment. Tribit really has nailed it with this product in my opinion. For a brand I wasn't even aware existed before researching the product category online, I must salute and thank Tribit for your excellent work.
