5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive car for the price
This is a nice we'll balanced rc. Bought it for my 3 year old grandson thinking no way, but he can drive it nice. What I like about it is a great all terrain car, suspension is dialed in almost perfect, I gave the front adjustable shocks about a dime thickness tighter, and it performs excellent! On the downfall side, batteries aren't the greatest, but I found a 2800ma, 15c discharge battery and it doubles the time off 1 battery without overheating anything. Here's the kicker, I got mine for 70 bucks, with 30 coupon, but now I see it's selling for more. With that being said, that new price puts it up into the brushless motor category. Price aside, it's a wonderful rc car. 5 stars from me, despite the batteries.
4.0 out of 5 stars A great choice for those getting into the RC hobby
This buggy is a really great way to get into the RC hobby on a budget and not be disappointed. The truck is a 2s vehicle and comes with two battery packs. The buggy itself is very well made like other vehicles I have from DEERC. The 1/10th scale size gives it enough clearance to be able to use it just about anywhere whether on pavement, grass, dirt, sand and gravel. The quality level is nicer than the 80's era Tamiya models and the brushed motor is a 500-type size and gives plenty of performance. Don't expect the brushless speed and wheelies, but it's still definitely fast enough for some fun. The frame material is very resilient, and this should stand up to some bashing, but remember that bashing brings the chore of replacing broken parts which might be a bit tough to find for this vehicle. The battery connector is a common type and if you're into FPV, this is a great platform to put a camera in for some first-person fun. This isn't traxxas level, but its a lot closer than any big box store type and a good deal for the price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great
Runs great
3.0 out of 5 stars A little fun
Got this, thought it would be a little bigger, and faster. It’s not fast at all maybe for a young child but not adult. If all you want to do is bump around it’s perfect but if you want to get some air, not going to really happen.
5.0 out of 5 stars The specs say it all...
Rugged and FAST - this is not a "kid's toy" but more one that both grown-ups and older kids that understand how to take care of - and not blindly try to destroy - their toys will enjoy time and time again. You definitely want an open space for this - we started in a parking lot just to test the speed - WOW - this thing hums - especially on flat surfaces. Never lost "range" though. The next test through the sand near our lake provided even more spectacular results - this is made for "off road" without a bunch of tire spinning and damage to the motor. Suspension is good for small jumps too (which we had to create - and of course I didn't take it to an extreme...) - now that I know what its capable of, I'm looking forward to pushing it a little harder - testing its limits. Seems like I'm getting a little bit more kid-like though, because my son is already saying "dad...let's not destroy it..." - tables turned I guess...but I am definitely loving how well he is both taking care of it, and learning more about it. Of course I also do love taking the wheel, but I try to not be selfish with it - then I'd really no longer be the "grown-up" here...hahaha.
4.0 out of 5 stars Fast! But.
I am an avid RC enthusiast and this is my third DEERC RC review.BLUF: This is an OUTSTANDING entry-level RC that will allow you to try the hobby, let your kids bash it to death, and not have the fear of a huge repair bill when they (or you) inevitably smash or break it.this is NOT a hobby-grade RC. After about 6 months between DEERC RC reviews, they still have not made the jump from toy-grade to hobby-grade, and many of the high failure parts are still made of inferior quality materials. Sub-par electronics aside, things like differential cups, shocks, and turnbuckles are still points of failure... but given that, it's definitely fun while it lasts. The battery/esc uses a DEANS-T connector, so while you may be able to plug another battery in, even a shorty lipo won't fit in the battery tray. Again, I advise this company to move away from proprietary batteries and use industry-standard sizing. For the money, this is definitely something fun, extremely giftable, and a great way to test out the hobby to see your level of interest. For my own purposes, I would rather spend $100 on a used Traxxas Bandit and know that if/when I break it, all parts are made with quality replacements and hop-ups available.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very stable but needs a wheelie bar
For $100 this is a good deal. It's not super fast, it doesn't have oil filled shocks, and I wouldn't call this one hobby grade yet. However, it does have an all metal gear train and is VERY rugged. I ran it over some serious obstacles where it flipped and came crashing down onto asphalt, and it didn't seem to phase this 1:10 car. Point being, I couldn't kill it even though some of the rough testing I did was more than I normally would. I've reviewed several Deerc cars and trucks over the last year and I've never been disappointed with their fit and finish, along with how rugged they are. Deerc is a great company with a reputation to uphold. I have reviewed boats and planes from them, and they are top notch. Again, not quite hobby grade, as it lacks a few things one costing twice as much would, but a great starter car if you're into that. Upgradable if you want a larger more powerful motor or upgraded ECM. Only thing missing in my opinion is it lacks a wheelie bar. Once in a while, depending on terrain etc, it will flip itself over when it would not if it had a wheelie bar to prevent that. It is such a bargain at only $100 however, that I am not knocking off a point for that.
Large 1/10 scale RC. (English review)
Its 1/10 scale effects its top speed, as the bigger weight means the 7.4v battery has to work harder. The device has no water or sand protection, as the insides are exposed freely including the motor that is Air cooled, no fan present.Extra The ESC unit is not waterproof the cover on it is not enough and any tiny bit of water will connect to the pins of the connection sockets and short them out as they extend from the ESC to a secondary board that is not covered in resin. When these pins short, the car turns LEFT without any input from the user. With these pins exposed, any slight water or condensation can connect the pins. You can still access the car's on/off switch manually without taking the body shell off. As the shell does not reach the bottom. This will let any tiny bit of water inside to effect the motor. Dry ground only. The unit requires building,The Top lights need attaching and wire needs feeding through the roll cage and the spare wheel needs to be attached via the clips.Update one roll to many and the lights died on the top the vibration shock was too much shattered the connection boards. O well they might have lasted longer with less roll overs. Were the fun in that. The battery has a high current circuit and a low current recharge cable, even if the PR pictures don't show the high current cables. The battery is held with a plastic cross brace and another clip pin.Extra = the space is big enough for a higher capacity build battery, 2,200 ma will fit.And yes, that roll cage is full of real plastic to complete the shell.Lots of Spare parts. Many spare parts provided, not just the spare wheel. The remote is where the quality drops. There is no steering sensitivity, only default steering trim direction. The steering play is very small on the remote.Throttle setting for max speed is analogue. There are notification stickers all over the place in English only, but the manual is in German only, lol .Yes, this has labels to tell you to remove the plastic protection cover that they will leave on it at the factory.Value for money is a big question as the Product is on discount. So when 40% off, it is a Good offer. But when only 20% off the price is not ready worth it. But if it's always on discount then it's not really a drop in price, is it,Discount price means it has to get 5 stars as a 1/10 model for the price is good offer.Full price is overcharging, lol, and should be 11v volt build at that price.2xAA for the remote is bringing up questions on how soon they will need replacing, as its normally 3xAA needed.Edit Supplied Battery update.I've upgraded the battery, 15 mins on the 1500 was too short. Put in some 2S 2200 7.4v lipos compliant versions. When this RC battery did die on the 1500 the actual brake control are the first to go, not the forward control lol. Steering and forward work, but brakes did not when internal battery reaches low level. So you can keep going at power, but no brakes or reverse when the battery is done.
Günstig und gut
The media could not be loaded.
Eigentlich geht immer was kaputt.
