5.0 out of 5 stars Replacing Logitech with Nulea

    T.R.A. · July 20, 2024

During Prime Day, I decided to try a new keyboard for several reasons:1. My home Logitech K350 has the keyboard labels wearing off2. I've had occasional issues with wireless connectivity. (Taking my laptop back and forth to the office, nice to just leave the keyboard plugged into a dock.)3. Hand and wrist issues to try a "more ergonomic" keyboard.4. Looking for a somewhat "quieter" keyboard for use during the constant zoom meetings. The Nulea RT05C checked all the boxes and with a good deal on Prime Day, I decided to give it a try. After a day of use, things I like:1. Keys and typing have a good feel. Typing speed is not impacted by key stroke. Keystroke feels more like Thinkpad laptop's keyboard.2. The sound is better than my old logitech, both in volume and less clanky. Hard to get a feel for in a review but I think it is nice.3. I like that it takes up a lot less desk space.4. Hand positioning does feel more natural. Will be interesting to see if it helps with the problems over time.5. No batteries, low battery problems. Also like not needing to change out batteries as a first course of action when a problem comes up with the keyboard.Things I don't like:1. No special "media" keys like on the Logitech - not a big deal though as most of the functionality are in the function keys but I liked the volume buttons.2. The special ridges for the "F" and "J" keys are hard to feel. Definitely taking time to get used to hand placement. May get used to it but it feels like it would have been better if the keys were better distinguished. Currently, this does impact typing speed some for me but likely to go away with increased usage.3. Would like bigger arrows and easier placement of page up/down keys. (Of course this would conflict with keeping the keyboard size smaller!)Other issues/undecided:1. Hoping that the lettering on the keys holds up over time better than the logitech's did which lasted about 3 years. (Lettering wear was probably accelerated by typing while also eating and thereby getting some food oils involved.)2. My use case does not involve needing lighting. More important for me to have lit keys on my laptop keyboard. Neither the Logitech or the Nulea has lighting but that was fine by me.3. The rounded "scalloping" of the keys feel fine. Interesting to see which ones are "concave" vs. "convex". Perhaps a little more scalloping would be nice for keeping fingers on keys but hard to tell if that might not be more of a con.4. The big gap between left and right splits (between G and H) just seems to be calling out for a mouse substitute such as the red nub on my Thinkpad or a mini trackball. Might look for that in a future keyboard.I picked the Nulea against similarly priced keyboards with similar features in part due to better reviews in general. Some competitors seemed to have more issues with occasional problems. All in all, I like it and am tempted to get one for the office too. It seems to be well built and good quality material so I think it will be pretty durable. I'll give it a couple of months to see though before making the jump.I'm pretty picky but at the price and with a full day of actual usage, it exceeded my expectations and feels like 5 stars is warranted.

Pros: It is comfortable as far as the keys go and will take some time getting used to it.Cons: The taking time getting used to the key locations is taking longer than I anticipated.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice ergonomic keyboard

    N.S. · August 24, 2024

This is a well-made keyboard, with the right ergonomic layout. The cushioned wrist rest is a well-made addition. A nice feature is that the keys have a concave/curved surface which adds to the comfort of the keyboard and helps your fingers stay in place.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well made

Well made keyboard and feels great. Years ago used Microsoft keyboard and this quality is as good or better than the one they made.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Ergonomic Wired Keyboard, With Some Quirks

    E. · August 31, 2024

I've never used an ergonomic keyboard prior to trying this one. I began typing back in the early 1990's on an IBM PS/1 keyboard and have used the traditional layout ever since, so this was a bit of an adjustment. There were a few small bumps along the way but on the whole the transition was quite smooth.Beyond the ergonomic design, the biggest difference between this and a traditional keyboard is the size of some of the keys that were adjusted to fit into the form factor. For example, take a look at the arrow keys at the bottom of the keyboard. Rather than the traditional layout of having the left, bottom, and right arrows in a straight line with the up arrow above the down arrow, this keyboard makes the up and down arrows smaller and squishes them both between the left and right arrows. Also notice that the "N" key is quite a bit larger than a typical letter key as is the "T" key. This is to adjust for the angle of your hands. However, the "Enter" key is quite a bit smaller than what most keyboards use. None of these are negatives, just different.Otherwise the keys have a good feel to them and they are responsive. A wired keyboard does away with the need to change batteries which is a plus. The wrist rest is quite comfortable and the adjustable height works well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great split keyboard

    M.K. · September 11, 2024

Love this keyboard. It's a smaller format than other split-keyboards.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not great. And totally misses the point of an ergo keyboard

    D.J. · August 17, 2024

This keyboard tried to work properly. Where is it common practice that "function" keys (alternate functions like volume, etc) are defaulted on a keyboard? They should DEFAULT to F1-F12 and when you want ALTERNATE functionality, you hit the Fn key. Seems simple, but it is backwards on this keyboard.Key spacing is odd, as key sizes are quite large even for an ergonomic keyboard. It is built well, don't get me wrong, and the wrist rest is comfortable, but when I plug the keyboard in and it behaves backwards from EVERY other keyboard on the market, I can't recommend it.There are too many opportunities to hit the wrong keys, as the layout is spaced oddly (I assume to accommodate the larger keys.) It works a little better if you are a traditional typist, but I am not.. and so far only the Logitech and Microsoft ergo keyboards work for me. I don't think I'll be looking for any more ergo keyboards to replace my aging Microsoft one unless they're made by Logitech or Microsoft.I can't recommend this to anyone but those with the largest hands and strongest patience.

    Plug and Play

It has taken a bit of getting used to, but now I find my fingers naturally find the keys with ease. At first, I kept missing the L Shift key and had to search every time I looked for the Delete key (it is up at the very top). I still sometimes hit the G when I'm aiming for a B... It's just laid out a bit differently from the old Logitech keyboard I'd been using and it came with an adjustment period. I'm still not used to the tiny arrow keys being stuck under the R Shift key and I've had to adjust some hotkeys on a game I've been playing, but overall I'm happy with this keyboard.I like the foam wrist rest because it isn't too high. I like that the keyboard came with a decently long cord and required nothing extra to be installed for it to work. I saw another review that calls it 'compact' and I think that's a great way to describe the keyboard: everything you'd get in a full-sized one, but the keys are closer together and smaller. A few small differences, but I think I'll continue using it for now.

Full featured keyboard that also has the benefit of feeling padded and relieves hand stress

    F. · September 10, 2024

I've been accustomed to only using standard keyboards for my computing needs, so I didn't realize what I was missing until I decided to give this wired, ergonomic keyboard offered by brand NULEA a reasonable chance. And I will be honest, I am very glad I did, as it really gives me a lot of comfort I didn't realize was actually possible when typing. There is a little bit of a learning "curve" literally as well as figuratively when using this product, as the keys are purposely separated so that your hands are extended in a different position than with a standard keyboard. But after a few tries I was typing as quickly as I ever have been able to, and the soft padding of palm rest positioned at the base of the keyboard is wonderful and comfortable, and just makes the entire experience of long hours of typing far less frustrating.Overall, the keyboard is large and I like that, and the keys are "clicky" and responsive and I have no complaints about that either. The unit has key compatible notations for the various needs of both PC and MAC users, so I am personally using this keyboard as an extension for my Macbook, meaning I don't have to type directly on the laptop itself when I am using this keyboard for my office work, particularly. I am very pleased with everything about this premium product that is really making my daily routine easier. 5 stars.

Excellent full featured Ergonomic wired Keyboard. A++

    D. · July 25, 2024

Nulea makes excellent products. I wanted a wired keyboard, and this model has some nice features. Here is what I like:1- Ergonomic keyboard. Natural layout of keys with large foam comfortable wrist rest.2- Dimpled keys for comfortable and natural typing.3- Large white font lettering contrasting against black keys.4- Windows and Mac OS compatible keyboard.5- 4 adjustable feet to angle keyboard higher at back, higher at front, or both.6- 4 large rubber/silicon feet to keep keyboard secure on a flat surface or desk.7- Just under 71 inches of USB cable.8- Stable and firm keyboard with no flex while typing.I share my PC and Mac Mini through a USB switch so having a keyboard that is both PC and Mac compatible is a great feature. Typing feels very natural and the travel from the keys is right on. The keys are quiet, and the keyboard feels stable when typing. The memory foam wrist rest is supportive, and the fabric is super soft to the touch and has a soft leather feel. The keyboard looks attractive too. It is easy to identify the keys and especially the optional Fn optional keys for additional shortcuts to media control and other functions. No complaints at all. This is a great product.

Nice, but a bit Large with all the Cushions

    T. · August 23, 2024

Working from home started to give me some wrist pain, so I decided to try this ergonomic keyboard. It’s a bit larger than the traditional rectangle keyboards I’m used to, but it's growing on me. The keys have a nice, smooth feel, making typing more comfortable. Setup was a breeze, and overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking to ease some wrist strain.

    My New Day Job Keyboard!

    I. · July 28, 2024

This is what I have been missing for so long and didn't know it. I spend a lot of time typing at my keyboard all day long and then spend even more time at it playing games later in the evening. I spent a lot of money on a fancy mechanical keyboard that is amazing but made me forget about my comfort when long form typing. This ergonomic keyboard has taken away a lot of the strain I feel in my wrists after a long sitting of typing. They really thought of everything with the angling being way more natural that a traditional straight board. The wrist rest is so comfortable and super supportive. I never thought I would take the effort to switch my keyboard depending on my task but I will be now, it's so worth it!
