I keep some of my favorite exfoliating acid serums around, usually ones with AHA and lactic acid. This one has been very nice. When I apply it, I feel a slight burning. I have sensitive and dry skin so I can only use it a few days a week. I cycle it with retinol in my nightly schedule. I notice that in the morning this seems to clear my out and my skin looks fresh. It is really nice what a good and strong acid will do. I do not feel like this is a chemical peel or anything too strong, but it is potent enough to see some results. I like also that it has no fragrance or weird additives in it. Asterwood is a really nice brand and at the current price of $13 for a 1oz, I think this is an excellent value.

I like that the serum came in a glass bottle with a dropper. My skin does feel smoother and softer, but can’t speak on long term effects after only using it a short time. I tested it out on my neck before using it on my face, as instructed. I didn’t feel or see any signs of irritation, so I used it on my face. No burning or tingling, went on sort of thick, but that’s nice because it doesn’t run. No scent.I don’t expect any miracles, so I’m not really waiting for something, but it makes my skin feel nice and doesn’t irritate it, so can’t hurt.

Make sure to read the directions and ease your way into this serum. It’s an AHA and a BHA. It does pack a punch. I have fairly sensitive skin so I slowly incorporated it into my routine. My skin feels softer and more radiant than before. I will continue using it.

The packaging was really nice, and I like the little glass bottle with the eyedropper. I don't usually use serums, but I came across this one and decided to try it out. It does make your skin feel a little smoother after using it but be careful when you do decide to use it because it has a slight stinging/burning effect.

This serum is a nice combination of different types of acids, AHA & BHA, in addition to Hyaluronic that will help to moisturize your skin. I've used all levels of acid serums, some that burn my face and make my skin red and some that I can't really even feel the difference. This one is somewhere in middle maybe like a 4 or 5/10 strength depending on your experience with acid serums. The consistency is good and it's not too runny, it absorbed quickly and wasn't too sticky. I think this is a good acid serum to use every other day at nighttime to help gently exfoliate your skin.

Took 2 weeks to notice some exfoliation effect but definitely not overnight. It needs to be used as directed and give it some time and patience.

So far I am VERY pleased with this Asterwood serum. I have skin that turns red and angry if you so much as give it the side eye, so I appreciate *any* skincare treatment that works gently and effectively with no added fragrance or color. PLUS it is American-made by a small, woman-owned business. I will look into other Asterwood products after trying this.Details: This clear, fragrance free (but not unpleasant smelling) serum goes on smoothly and leaves my skin feeling lightly hydrated and not sticky. It makes a good base for other products or moisturizers or makeup.All of these ingredients are beneficial humectants and/or gentle acids for exfoliation and cell turnover: Water, Glycolic Acid, Propanediol, Sodium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Sodium PCA, Lactic Acid, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Salicylic Acid.

A decent serum. This serum has a thicker consistency so it doesn't run all over so it is not messy. It soaks in quickly and spreads easily without leaving a sticky residue or film. I didn't notice a scent, if any very minimal. I can't say long-term benefits are there yet after minimal time to use it, but it did not irritate or break out my skin. Overall not a bad serum!
