5.0 out of 5 stars Classy and sassy... we both use it!
This product arrived as described, well packaged, and on time.My husband and I both enjoy cigars so when I came upon this cigar case, I wanted to try it. He is much more an aficionado than I, but I do enjoy it now and then.I first noticed the quality of the leather exterior and detailed stitching. The handle is finely made and attached with elegant buttons, while the matching zipper is glossy and wide-toothed. Opening the case confirms the elegance, starting with a suede interior lining. Two leather accessory pockets oppose the thoughtfully designed humidor case. An adjustable strap along the top adds additional refinement to the classy design. The thoughtful layout for five (average-sized) cigars within this case offers a window to see what you have whilst providing a protective barrier. Inclusion of a humidor enhances the overall appeal of this case. There is a sleeve on the exterior where we tuck in any keepsake labels but, due to positioning toward the ground, much else would likely fall out. (The sleeve position is a bit of a bummer, as it would function better turned the other way.)But that's not all! This case also comes with a razor sharp cigar cutter and outstanding torch (butane NOT included). The triple-flame torch has a standard safety cap, a punch, flame adjuster, and also acts as a cigar rest. The case is lightweight and we have used it multiple times for dinner dates or hanging out for cocktails. Several people have complimented it and asked where they can buy one! For us it is safe to say for the value and quality, this is a recommended item. We certainly recommend it for personal use or for gifting.
5.0 out of 5 stars Cool nice looking case!
'This review is for the Travel Cigar Humidor, Leather Travel Cigar Case, Cigar Box for 5 Cigars with Cigar Lighter, Humidifier and Cedar Tray, Portable Travel Cigar Humidor,(Butane Not Included). So this is a very nice looking genuine leather (but not sure all parts are real leather) portable cigar case. I must say it's heavier than I thought it would be when I pick it up. It's substantial feeling, very solid. It's a nice darker medium to dark brown with a really nice shiny metal gold tone zipper to open the lid with a nice big pull tab, it opens like a book. There is a carrying hand strap/handle on the spine, it's attatched with 2 larger size metal shiny stud buttons. I'm not sure this strap is leather or not! It has a kinda rubbery feeling to it, not something I've ever felt before with real leather. stitching is great throughout, nice and even/tight, no loose strings/threads. There is a nice slide in pocket on the top flap but be aware if you carry the case by the handle the opening to the pocket will be facing the ground and nothing to stop whatever you put in there from falling out, they should have put a zipper on it or the handle on the other side. I must also point out this case could be enhanced with the addition of a shoulder/crossboddy strap. So now unzip it and open it laying flat. On the left shallow flap inside the front cover are 2 slipin pockets, 1 holds the cutter and the other the lighter. On the right hand side it's deeper. there is the humidor bar laying at the top. There is a small plastic funnel to use to wet the humidor, personally I would just use a syringe. The entire inside is for sure lined with real leather. Back on the right ssiad is a strap that snaps shut to hold the cigars/cigar tray down. It holds max of 5 cigars and is made of cedar. If you unsnap the top strap you can remove the cigar tray. There's a plastic bottom part the cedar cigar tray slides into and it has a wide elastic strap to secure thee tray in it, it's hard black plastic and will help protect the cigars from being crushed. If you wanted to use this to pack some ciggs instead of cigars, I smoke misty menthol light 120's box pack, I would say you can easily fit 8 or 9 packs in it. I also roll my own ciggs sometimes, I have the nice metal card type cases that open like a book and hold 20 ciggs 100's size. I can probably fit like 6 of them in it two stacks 3 high. Nice case though to toss in like your carry on bag.Or come up with your own stuff to pack in the case. LOL. The lighter ships with no fuel in it for safety and the lighter is a pretty antiqued kinda copper color and is surprisingly heavy! So in conclusion is this is a nice real leather case that I like although I won't use it for cigars. The regular price $54.99 per the listing I'm just not sure it's worth that high a price point. But this could be a great gift for the right persson too, so maybe it's worth it to you for that.As always I only do honest reviews and will update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.
5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality cigar case, was amazed at the best features
This set is not for me, it is for a cigar smoker that I work for- but when he did something that helped me out, I thought he deserved a very nice gift, over and above the quality I would normally give to an employer I didn't know that well. He never seemed to buy nice things for himself- and I thought he worked hard enough to deserve nice things. Plus, he had a bag a little like this but it was older and worn and I don't think it had a humidor function within it as this one does. Before I gave him this bag, I had to check it out though- as nice as I thought it would be, I wanted to know if it was (as I thought the Bolo ad for the bag does a good job of describing this item). And I wasn't wrong- it was as nice as I expected. The brown exterior of the bag felt and looked like good leather and I caught a faint whiff of leather as I went to see if you could put something in the opening on the front of the bag. I found that, whIle there is space there, and you can put notes and maybe a credit card or several dollars- you can't fit all that much in that front pocket. But since I didn't even know that the pocket would be there- I found that it was still sufficient and would be for the person I was gifting this item to. Also, the stitching was perfectly lined around the bag- I took an up-close photo to show others how well the stitching is done. The zipper on the bag had larger teeth than I expected, however in life (and using zillions of zippers) I have found that the bigger the teeth on a zipper- the better and longer it might work (all other things considered though). Inside the bag things only got better- as the pockets and cigar strap were leather and everything else on the interior- lined with a brown suede that felt like butter. My husband was at home when I looked at the cigar cutter and he saw how sharp it was and wanted to try it out. As long as he didn't scuff the metal up (as it was very shiny)- that was okay. The blade went straight through his cigar like it was tissue paper. There is an amazing cigar cutter included inside this kit- just top of the line.Unfortunately we had no butane to fill the lighter and I had seen a notation about this included in the ad, that you would need to fill the lighter on your own. However, I expect the lighter will perform as well as the cigar cutter blades- and when I picked it up, there was a little weight to it and I thought the shine on the lighter was perfect for a cigar case. There is a lever on the side and all you have to do is push it up to get a flame. Both these items are stored in the leather pockets with suede backing- on the underside of the top of the case (when it is opened). I also took a photo of this, if you take a look of the photos I include with this review.I like how the strap for the wooden slat that will carry and keep separate five individual cigars in the case is a Burberry print which, of course (at least to me), denotes a high class product or item. The only thing I wasn't sure of is the black cigar cover under the strap- and what it is made of. It felt like a light metal but I wasn't quite sure. Both the wooden part and black cover can be removed from the case, if necessary- and when I did that I found a little plastic bottle. I would assume that has something to do with the humidor function but what, IDK. There is also a long black plastic box-like piece included that looks like, at points on it- there are filters. I know that has something- again, to do with the humidor function and may in fact be the humidor- but that is again, something I have no knowledge about. However I did include photos of all the items so that others could see them. You can also see there is a leather strap with snap buttons where the top of the cigar would lay. I assume this strap is to help hold the cigars in place. The strap can be loosened and tightened- as there are three buttons at different intervals to do this- and it too (the strap), like most of the case, is made of leather- so it feels- and smells- deliciously wonderful (like good leather ;)!There is a handle on the outside of the case, so the cigar lover can carry it. Two wonderfully shiny buttons hold the strap in place and I think it's just a lovely carry case for a man- and almost gave it to my husband- though he doesn't smoke the kind of cigars you'd carry in it. But I just think it makes the perfect man purse- that no man wouldn't want to carry around! I just thought it was such a wonderful cigar bag with some great features for a cigar smoker- it had to go to one!
